Multiplayer or COOP
babaganoosh13 replied to Sir_bronius's topic in South Park: The Stick of Truth: General Discussion
I think it's waaaaay too late to add that in, assuming it hasn't already been added in and they've been extremely hush about it. I'm pretty certain it's SP only. -
When I picked my kids up this morning from their moms', I found out my youngest had Hand, Foot & Mouth disease. I tend to at times wash my hand a lot. Unless I'm playing sports, I've got to wash them whenever they feel dirty. It's why I always wear doctors gloves when I'm working; even under my other work gloves. Otherwise I'd be in the washroom every 5 minutes washing my hands. I can be up to my elbows and beyond in oil and grease - that's fine. My hands - not so. I've always taken consolidation in the fact that at least I'm not as bad as Howie Mandel in that sense. However today, I'm getting kinda close.

I certainly hope they don't make another jump in time. I hope they Boston (or wherever) run no later than almost immediately after the events of NV. I wouldn't mind if it ran concurrent to 3.

InExile is plotting to ruin Torment by making it turn-based
babaganoosh13 replied to khango's topic in Computer and Console
I grew up with it. I have a hard time hating it, or thinking it would ruin a game; especially one based on a PnP game/universe. I certainly don't hate RTwP by any stretch, however as many people have stated before: Combat was the weakest part of PS:T. It was the couple of bad stocks of asparagus in a fantastic meal.- 343 replies

I assumed before opening it, that they took on Cthulhu. That looks like every over-the-top evil organization's logo in a movie. Blofeld and Dr. Evil would be proud. Well played supposed model of democracy! EDIT: Will their great-great-great grandchildren be hanging out in an oil rig?

When I went to school, it used to be: K-6: Elementary 7-8: Jr. High 9-OAC (13): High Plus, high school had Basic, General and Advanced classes. Now it's: JK (Junior Kindergarten)-7: Elementary 8-12: High School They got rid of B/G/A for grade 9 students only(?) by the time I graduated and got my OAC's. I think they became Workplace, College, University (I'm probably wrong. They eventually became that anyways for all 4 HS grades.) Now apparently it's: Grade 9-10: Academic (D), Applied (P), Open (O) Grade 11-12: University Prep (U), University/College Prep (M), College Prep ©, Workplace Prep (E), Open (O). So what used to be ENG2A1 (Grade 10 advanced English - 1 credit) I now assume is ENG2D (they must have gotten rid of 2 credit courses, or they're coded differently. Who knows.) I assume the initial changes were done for the same reason why government imposes euphemistic language. This current system... I say go back to B/G/A.

About time. Because 2013 was utterly pathetic for RPGs. When I think about it, I think Shadowrun (and possibly Penny Arcade Rainslick 4) is the only one with a budget of more than a few hundred thousand dollars that I played this year. I'm looking at a list here of nominees for RPG of the Year: 3 are for the 3DS, and 1 is for the PS3. (Fire Emblem:A, Shin Megami 4, Mario & Luigi:DT and Tales of Xillia.) Wizardry Online, Neverwinter, FF14: Realm Reborn, expansions for SW:TOR and FF11. Solid on the MMO front. Gothic 4, Etrian Odyssey, Pokemon X/Y, Avadon 2, Aarklash... Man the list is short.

Funny too, guy is 19 and has a 4 year old son. Sadly, not that unusual. When my younger brother was in Jr. High when those schools still existed in Ontario, at some party a bunch of them got drunk and decided they would have sex. Something stupid like 4 girls got pregnant that night. My buddy ended up marrying one of 'em. When I was in Jr. high, I was happy with 2nd base.

Several of them are Steam exclusive. Natural Selection won't even run without Steam, it requires the server browser to function. Surly they could get rid of the Steamworks for this. They can't be that exclusive if they're selling them outside of Steam's marketplace. Natural Selection I guess excluded. The trouble I'm seeing is, is that getting into a Humble Bundle used to mean offering up a DRM-free version. Some games were for DRM-free for the first time because of it. Someone else pointed out that they used to also have to offer it in multiple platforms. Not anymore. They're turning into just another Steam bundler. Oh well. More money not spent.

What's up with these stupid Steam-only Humble Bundles? This latest one makes no sense to not offer a DRM-free copy. https://www.humblebundle.com/

Just the second try, IIRC... The first time they tried to raise $150K. That was a year ago. It had a few pieces of artwork, 2 very early concept screenshots and no traction and only raised $6,571. Then they put some more work into it and had the much better second attempt with a much smaller goal. And now it's their 3rd go around.

SW: The Old Republic - Episode VI (The Old Menace)
babaganoosh13 replied to Gorth's topic in Computer and Console
I love crafting. It's why I had so many toons in WOW when I played it (gear on demand), and why I backed Balrum. I'm subscribing for the first month, because I bought the discs and they came with a month. Figured that when I'm done here, I could come back to Preferred. For now I'm Art/Arch/Slicing (for the creds - that will be the one I drop when I go down to 2 with preferred.) I would hate to do flashpoints, because quite frankly, I know I would suck at it at this point. I'd rather just do runs. Quite frankly I would need to mod my quickbar to have 1 visible at all times for attacking, and one for healing. For flashpoints I'd stick to healing, but even then, I don't have the technique down yet, and I'm so used to what I have now, that I would have to retrain myself. 9-8-4-3-8-4-3-8-4-3... with barriers and shields thrown in. Electrocute for the tougher enemies, and the occasional Overload if they get in close. I decided to take a quick break to go to the auction house, and load up on current level gear for me and A.Revel. Khem has lv 33 gear waiting for him. I'd rather have the tank, plus I can talk more Sithy. Man, I wish you didn't have to go to the trainer to level up your skills at a new level; just to learn new ones.- 505 replies

SW: The Old Republic - Episode VI (The Old Menace)
babaganoosh13 replied to Gorth's topic in Computer and Console
The thing about this 2X XP thing is, my gear sucks for my level. My Sith was getting murdered by the Republics on Nar Shadda, despite at the time only a level or 2 difference. Oh yeah, my friend who hates playing thieves decided he didn't care for the smuggler anymore. At least my sorcerer is more fun to play than my tank knight. Maybe if my Sith was set up under the lightning tree instead of as a healer, I could have done enough damage to negate the difference. Right now I'm starting to get some Tatooine gear. Still well below my level 31. I've got a few Orange items, so they're more or less okay because I've been working on my Artifice training. I've only done the first Sith flashpoint so far. It was okay.- 505 replies

I broke down and got it. Yep, it wants to run Steam inside of Uplay. Atleast I've got an extra NV Steam code to give to someone, and I'm only down $5.65. That sucks. I was hoping for a Steam-free copy.
-
Ubisoft can be pricks about making sure you are in the right country for buying stuff. That link might only work in Canada. I know if you buy Ubi games in Steam, you have to run Uplay inside of Steam. I didn't know since Bethesda doesn't have it's own DRM client (hopefully ever) but Steamworks was added to New Vegas from launch (and who knows what they've done with FO3 since what's been going on with GFWL) if they kept it in there or not for the Uplay version.

InExile is plotting to ruin Torment by making it turn-based
babaganoosh13 replied to khango's topic in Computer and Console
Right now, the vote is: 7139 TB 6920 RTwP 760 Indifferent I'm not liking my chances of what I voted for of winning right now. 6160 votes is a lot to make up for just to tie for second place, none the less take over top spot. It looks like the over 59,586 backers whom so far have been even more indifferent then me to vote could easily swing that my way with gold bricks as change.- 343 replies

I noticed Fallout NV/3 UE's are $5 on Uplay right now. Does anybody else here have them on there, and do they require Steam? I'll get them there if they don't. http://shop.ubi.com/store/ubina/en_CA/search/vars.false?q=fallout Also, their Black Friday sale is Buy 1 of these games, get 1 of those games free. AC3 is one of the free ones. I would probably still yell at the red coats for being so stupid at that price.

It's probably safe to say they weren't planning on doing a new console port when they started making the game. Until we have a better idea of how the PSN's PS3 streaming service works for the PS4, it might be best to hold on to your PS3 - or get the PC version if you would rather maximize the selling/trade-in value of your PS3.

Stick Of Truth PS$
babaganoosh13 replied to Mrcreamy's topic in South Park: The Stick of Truth: General Discussion
Depending on how the PSN's streaming service of PS3 games on the PS4 goes, your best bet might be buying it digitally on there instead of the disc version. EDIT: Besides the Mario games, outside of a rare gem and a planned port; it takes a while for the good games to come out for new systems. -
Origin doesn't accept my card, Steam does. I guess EA doesn't want my money. does that make their portal better? Offline mode. That's all.
