  1. Sex = genitals. Gender = social roles/mores enforced on you on the basis of your sex that vary from culture to culture. The right demands one's freedoms be limited on the basis of your sex i.e. you must dress and act in accordance with whatever arbitrary set of customs have been enforced on your sex. And the left insists if you don't follow what arbitrary social mores are expected of your sex you must in fact be the other sex or somewhere in between because there's no way a woman could hate makeup or a man could like dresses. EDIT: Oh, and the OP was ****. What a waste of 5 minutes.
  2. The far less appealing truth is money in politics is not an issue and American foreign policy is driven by the goodness of its heart? Alright then.
  3. Russians used ‘Bernie Bros’ as ‘unwitting agents’ in disinformation campaign Well I'm glad that's sorted. For a second I was worried America might have a class issue.
  4. Ask the Greek left.
  5. Burgers and their puritanism. A pair of breasts and some ass is hardly "porn". Tbh I'd be cool with romances and Witcher-tier nudity if it didn't have to come with the perverse Bioware romance cult.
  6. This game looks aggressively mediocre. Not surprising - it was outsourced to some nobody studio with the Bioware label on it. Shame though, despite the decline in quality with ME2 and the total ****ting the bed with ME3 the set-up for this game wasn't half-bad given what they'd written themselves into. Missus still wants to play it so I'll probably end up giving it a go.
  7. US [and Saudi Arabia] forces G20 to drop any mention of climate change' in joint statement
  8. I can honestly say I didn't expect Trump to win the election but always thought, in the off chance that he did, that by virtue of the sheer destructiveness of his policies the left would be dragged kicking and screaming leftward and actually begin to organise around issues pertaining to class. And that still may be true however it certainly won't be done with Democrat support. Were they smart they'd have attempted to court the left back to the centre/right with some basic class rhetoric/handouts but instead they seem to be going this route: Basically adhering to what is quite honestly a very disturbing political narrative of supposedly unified "race interests". This will of course only continue to empower the rising racist far-right.
  9. Meh, Nazis are still on your side
  10. You do realise you're responding to Volourn.
  11. Bill in Congress will allow employers to demand genetic test results from workers
  12. Except for his support for the state, capitalism and World War I. Capitalism's commodification of identity in action. Communism, anarchism, fascism, etc; these are no longer concrete political movements but commodities, products to consume and provide a sense of individuality. However just like every other product these ideologies have an expiry date and so the consumer will toss the ideology aside and move on to something else.
  13. How sensitive do you have to be to compare liberal talking points with some garbage genocidal dictatorship.
  14. The setup was interesting enough to carry the rest of the film. Plus I'm a sucker for reasonably low-key sci-fi.
  15. I saw over 40 films last year (most of them ****) so I'll just put together a top 10: Hail, Caesar The Nice Guys Moana Arrival The Shallows Passengers Don't Breathe Green Room Allied 10 Cloverfield Lane
  16. Second best film of 2016 imo
  17. This kind of slave mentality seems to plague the environmentalist left. i.e. they'll pin the issue of unsustainable resource exploitation onto all of us, condemning us all and encouraging us each to all do our part. Pretty words but hardly gets to the crux of the issue. I already live a fairly "green life": I limit my water consumption, I carpool with coworkers and I limit the amount of electricity I use - not because I'm some green lifestylist but because I'm a normal person and using gas, electricity and water frivolously would be expensive. In reality the guilty party are those who actually control vast swathes of land and resources and use these things unsustainably for short term profit. Truly whose the bigger offender: every lazy bastard like me who can't always be bothered to separate my recyclables from my non-recyclables or the guys bulldozing the amazon for more farm land. Of course I'm guessing you're not one of these liberals but instead a death-cult minded right-winger who seems to throw up their hands when it comes to issues pertaining to the environment. "sure we're destroying the only place we can live but **** it."
  18. That's the point. That's why environmentalism is a thing.
  19. Quite radical. You want to purge 50% of the workforce and strip the economic power of 50% of the population. And no, noting the value of said economic power is not reducing people's "purpose" or "meaning" to being their "purchasing power", rather its acknowledging the direct correlation of one's purchasing power with one's freedom in our society. Therefore by completely abolishing the purchasing power of half the population you have effectively halved the population's freedom. But hey, at least some dumbass neet doesn't have to compete with the alleged "20% of guys" who are getting 100% of the women now that his good buddy the state is willing to play wingman. Yes, they worked as farmers, seamstresses, brewers, factory workers, midwives and so on. It's almost like, in Western society, they've always been a part of the workforce.
  20. And true freedom is stripping the economic power of 50% of the population and forcing them to latch onto the first male they see to support themself. And of course all those women who don't want to be a decorative appendage of someone else are just brainwashed Please, tell me more Muhammad.
  21. By destroying it in favour of Shariah Law?
