Did you take a couple years off after high school? If you can afford it, you should quit and go to school full time imo.

Obsidian partners with a publisher for PoE
Since you want to deal in cash, perhaps your local gaming store offers Steam gift cards? You can buy one and then get the game off Steam.

Obsidian partners with a publisher for PoE
That's what I thought too ($65.00 and up tiers). From everyone elses reaction I guess that's not the case. I wonder how much the box copy will cost retail. Has to be $65.00 or higher, right?

Skyforge - Obsidian User Thread
Visually appealing and ticks a few boxes for me; sci-fi setting and epic levels. I may give it a go whenever it comes out.

Update #74: Wizard & Druid Reflections
My understanding of the classes is that they are designed with specific roles in mind (IE: Rogues and Rangers are the Heavy Hitters, Mage and Druid are for AoE.) Sure you can make them something else but they will never reach their full potential as a class if you do. I prefer my mages to be "glass cannons" that have high damages vs. both single and multi-targets but cant stand up to attack very well. This is most likely a case of me being stuck in the past. I think it may have been interesting to offer each class a offensive, or defensive, or hybrid build. EDIT: Im also slightly concerned that since spells don't scale with level that if you miss finding whatever the next spell upgrade is that the mage will fall behind but hopefully the new spells aren't too hidden.

Update #74: Wizard & Druid Reflections
Both of the classes sound interesting and fun. Out of petty selfishness for my own gaming preferences I wish there was a way to make a "nuker" mage.

Racial Options for Avatars and Portraits
Yes, you will be able to select your race, but PoE is not based in the real world. Instead of black, white, etc... you will choose Orlan, Aumaua, etc... and yes, this will be reflected in your avatar and ragdoll. Races of PoE.

Paying twice for the game?
You are not being asked to pay twice. That link directs you to the website where you will determine how your monies will be divided. For example, I paid a total of $52.00 and that is broken down into: $25.00 for the game, $20.00 for the expansion and $7.00 for the strategy guide.

Good Old Games
Rofl. Perhaps you two should relax. I couldnt care less which OS anyone uses, or their skill level, or what market share Linux enjoys. I though we were having a simple conversation on why a user would choose Windows over Linux to game on and it is my opinion that ease of use is that reason. Nothing more, nothing less. Coming off as aggressive tools is bad form.

No True Turn-Based?
I hope there is a toggle to turn the AI off. I don't want NPC's charging into battle because I didn't notice they were idle for 2 seconds.

Good Old Games
Except that the user would have to take extra steps to set up Linux on their PC? Once it becomes an out-of-the-box product, then Linux would offer no drawback. For example, I can get in my car and drive to the store or I can build my car and then drive to the store. Sure they both work but one method is more difficult and prone to mistake.

Good Old Games
specifically for playing games? probably nowhere. but maybe You can help me, because i've never understood why people would want to play games on windows when they can play on linux. yes, see, i understand why they have to play on windows, but i was asking why they would want to. i've asked: "why would i want to play on windows if i can play on linux?" You've answered with: "because there's no advantage to playing on linux." this does not answer my question, because You haven't told me if there are any disadvantages to playing games on linux. so i've asked myself: "are there any disatvantages to playing on linux?" and also answered myself: "for games that work on both OSes there are none. the decision, what to play those games on therefore comes down to the general OS preference." No. You asked why would "people" want to play on Windows. The answer being, if there is no advantage to playing on Linux why would anyone bother with it for gaming.
