Dont get me started! I was already annoyed that T-Rex and Velociraptor evolved EXACTLY THE SAME on another planet. -

Yes!...No!...Im not sure yet!... The bifocal peripheral spot is noticeable (and I got the second widest range available) but I find that I really just need to retrain my eyeball muscle memory to look at the correct area and then its perfect. My previous glasses had thin (top to bottom) lenses so I used to just peek under them for close-in reading. My vanity made me select the no-line bifocals, but I think if you get the bifocal lenses that have the visible line across them then this isnt an issue?

About a week ago I had all I could stand, I couldnt stand no more, of my new Transition lenses. I went back to the eyeglass store and fell on my sword fully prepared to have to purchase another set of new lenses (I kept the frames). To my great surprise, and even with me adding in a no-line bifocal, they replaced the lenses at no charge! Its a little freaky getting used to the bifocal part but they work great and I can now see up close without propping them on top of my head.

@rjshae I dont get the reference can you fill me in? I really dont understand the US military reluctance to go fully unmanned. What the difference between the pilot sitting in the ****pit, observing a bank of sensor displays and carrying out the mission, and a pilot doing the exact same thing in a room at some base? I suppose there could be a few milliseconds of "lag" between input and aircraft reaction? I mean, its not like theyre looking out the windows to see whats going on around them. It seems to me that the meat sack is just a liability in a bomber. IMO, we also need to stop clutching our pearls about "AI" and start making some serious gains.

Same. Well, it goes from the tap, into a Brita pitcher, then drank. Also coffee (but mostly in the evening instead of the morning) and IPA beers. I should cut the beer out but its super strong (for a beer) so I only need to drink a few to catch a buzz. I never ever drink pop.

My wife barely knows this forum exists, so when I die Ill just disappear, nobody will come on to announce it. She also 100% runs the household finances, so unfortunately, she always "spoils" herself to the gifts because shes always peeping the Chase app and the Amazon cart/previous orders.

I ordered my wife two presents today: Wind deflectors and her favorite perfume I still have to figure out more presents for her, but thankfully she handles the rest of the present buying. @Keyrock whats the space between rings, 1"?

Yeah, tetanus and whooping cough are combined into one shot here too and 100% free. That shot didnt bother me but the Shingles felt like I got punched in the arm. My elderly sister was riding my ass about getting the Shingles vaccine (its recommended at 50yo here and Im already two years past that). She wasnt vaccinated and caught it and said it was the worst pain ever. Then she convinced herself that one of her older friends died from catching it and the pain was too much. I think my physical was free too...they didnt even ask for a copay and I havent gotten any bill yet.
