  1. It is kinda weird that CA has been on fire for like a decade. I cant recall the same happening in any other state?
  2. CNN sues President Trump and top White House aides for barring Jim Acosta. I cant stands how "the press" regards itself as some sacred cow so its feels good, man, to watch them soil themselves every time Trump smacks one of them down.
  3. My bad. The article is dated 22 Sep 10, which was a Wednesday, and the article continues with: So I thought is was only 1 day but I now see that it went down the Sunday before.
  4. Are people really still mad about GoG going offline for one day, 8 years ago, and disguising it as a joke, during a board update?
  5. Welcome back Meshugger. Huzza for Obs! Live long and prosper.
  6. Stan Lee Dead at 95.
  7. Science tip: You distinguish an alligator from a crocodile by paying attention to whether the animal sees you later, or in a while.
  8. Its the internet version of storming off and slamming the door on your way out. It could be done privately but instead members choose to broadcast it to teach the offending posters a lesson. *snapsnapsnap*
  9. USMC birthday was yesterday.
  10. Its early here and Im still chugging my coffee, but can someone give me an example of a trade that gets paid in advance of delivering their service?
  11. Dez Bryant diagnosed with torn Achilles, will get MRI. That stinks. Hes not a WR1 anymore, and I was a little spooked he would have a monster game vs Dallas in a few weeks, but hate to see it happen.
  12. Ive wondered that about reviews in general. I cant find it anymore but there used to be a chart that showed the percentages of players that reach milestones in a game. It was really interesting to me to see how few people finish a game, or even reach chapter two! I imagine the same occurs across all genre of games so where do reviews come from? It must be the very small percentages of players that become invested in the game?
  13. Why doesnt she just pay for it? *blows snot bubble*
  14. Dont make me rap your knuckles with a ruler! Yeah, no bible, or torah, or quran in the administration of my government please.
  15. Huh, Im legitimately surprised by that total. So even if it only averaged $20 / unit ($22,520,280) then Obs should be set for the time being.
  16. Thanks for the links. I saw the 73,986 backers for PoE1 but couldn't find anything on the additional 1,126,014 boxes sold, so the 1.2M seemed off to me.
  17. Exactly. The history of the XL expansion is a downright embarrassment of our judicial system and a systematic gaming of loopholes.
  18. I Googled around but couldn't find anything...how many of that 1.2M were backers?
  19. That's a scary thought. As much of a dumpster fire that Trump is, Pence is a bible thumping wackadoo that we need to keep far, far, far from power.
  20. Is permadeath a function of the legendary server, or that's how LOTRO rolls anyway?
  21. What I meant was, PoE1 had a big hook, "Hey everyone a spiritual successor to a beloved game!". People flocked to the new game. Then they received it...and using myself as an example, maybe felt that the only resemblance to the BG series was the isometric view or some other minor similarity? I have a hard time believing that the developers changed the mechanics in PoE2 for the lulz, so imo, PoE2 shifted because of what the data showed about how players were engaging the game.
  22. Maybe it just wasn't "spiritual successor-y" enough? Arent the EE's of BG outperforming the PoE series and they are simply aping 20yo games.
  23. So if Im reading this correctly, an environmental "study" was concluded 2 years ago and determined the XL pipeline risk to be negligible. Now some random judge decided that the 2017 analysis wasn't enough and requires further "reasoned explanation". Why do "prior facts" supercede new findings? What, why? Are there new endangered animals or cultures there? Its been so long I suppose an entirely new evolutionary species could have formed? I mean, these are all great sound bytes and we can all look around and pat each others backs but this bullpoop system of ours needs some severe checks and balances. Does any federal judge, anywhere, have the power to block anything, regardless of other findings, as long as they pretend to "need more info"? Why isn't there some final determiner of these cases so it does go on in perpetuity?
  24. You don't say. Imo, thats not how the system is working: 1) Activist judges can gtfo. This judge seems to be rendering decisions on "feels" and unmeasurable "future climate impact". 2) Keystone XL has been appealed for around a decade. There needs to be a limit and final decision.
  25. Judge blocks Keystone XL pipeline. Oof, we REALLY need to strip federal judges of this power to block anything.
