  1. Yup, I kind of liked Warhammer 40000 Dawn of War but that was all about spamming units too, not damn bit like the boardgame.
  2. Many men were raped today by the reentless panzer attacks of now Private First class Kaftan Barlast, earning him another Gold Star and some minor thingammabobs.
  3. I think you need a joystick to maneuver aircraft properly, I tried the choppers a bit but I could hardly take off. I never bother with them. The online play is actually the best teamwork-wise in any FPS, the way its done and the ease at which you can communicate with team makes even random server playing enjoyable on the most part. Theres always the occasional chaosmatch but Ive seen lots of teamwork. Id like to play mechanic more, but then youll have to give up the big fat kills since the shotgun is completey useless(for anything but close quarters and there is very little of that in Bf2)
  4. Well, given that poor Aishur got clobbered in the first year, a player might not make it to the fall
  5. Some people stand in the darkness Afraid to step into the light Some people need to help somebody When the edge of surrender's in sight.. Don't you worry! Its gonna be alright 'cause I'm always ready, I won't let you out of my sight. I'll be ready (I'll be ready) Never you fear (no don't you fear) I'll be ready Forever and always I'm always here. In us we all have the power But sometimes its so hard to see And instinct is stronger than reason It's just human nature to me.. Don't you worry! Its gonna be alright 'cause I'm always ready, I won't let you out of my sight. I'll be ready (I'll be ready) Never you fear (no don't you fear) I'll be ready Forever and always I'm always here. 'Cause I'm always ready I won't let you out of my sight! I'll be ready (I'll be ready) Never you fear (no don't you fear) I'll be ready Forever and always I'm always here. Forever and always I'm always here.
  6. Oh, rubbish, This whole moving bussiness is so overrated anyway. The brave, they stay I say! " That is why I yet again remind of this golden moment in this games history Before Baley, before the deadline expires! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  7. This is the last post I will be making on the subject as I dont think it belongs in this thread to this degree. Their calculations failed, yes. But I was saying that both actual tests have been made aswellas as calculations. These all concluded that a dirty bomb, a bomb that works by spreading radioactive material by means of an ordinary explosion, is not a functional weapon. The latest experiments were made by the US Departement of Energy which made the "assuming nothing is done to clean up the affected area and everyone stays in the affected area for 1 year, the radiation exposure would be 'fairly high' " announcement. Although Im not a nuclear physiscist and cannot give anything beyond what Ive read on the matter, I would assume it has to to with both the spread and the activity of the matter, "hot" material as opposed to "cold" material that may not have even been involved in nuclear fission at all.
  8. Did you neglect to read that part that said calculations clearly show that a person would have to stand absolutely still within the untouched blast radious for one year in order to suffer a "fairly high" dosage. Any calculation is only as good as the problem posed. I can assure you that whatever calculations to which you speak, are based on various assumptions that do not and cannot cover all possibilities. I can also assure you there was plenty of radioactive poisoning at Hiroshima, Nagasaki and Chernoble (probably misspelled). And sadly, I can assure you that the history of nuclear materials is replete with false assurances of low risks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Given the number of tests done in both the US and Soviet union, this information is about as accurate as it comes. There is a significant differance in the spread radioactive material when it originates from recent nuclear fission, as opposed to when it is "cold" material spread by an ordinary explosion. The first thing that comes to my mind is; how many people have been killed by terrorism in the last 10 years? Around 5000. How many have died of starvation and disease in Africa? Given the UN figure of 25000 people dead every week that would make it 13 Million people. If you ask me, Africa is a far bigger issue than terrorism.
  9. Did you neglect to read that part that said calculations clearly show that a person would have to stand absolutely still within the untouched blast radious for one year in order to suffer a "fairly high" dosage. Its more than questionable, its downright ludicrous. The same can be said about it being possible to aquire old soviet nuclear weapons.
  10. Well that is the "problem" with dirty bombs, they look like they could work on paper but they dont. In, fact they wont work on paper either if you do the right calculations. The material it spreads is not even close to being able to harm anyone and the area which it spreads is not large enough to cause any problem that way. The only harm they could theoreticly cause was if the radioactive material wasnt cleaned up, then it might cause cancer etc. in people living in the area for lets say 15 years or more. All this was found in the 50's when the idea first came but it was proven to be such an extremely uneffective weapon that it was dropped. And then we're talking precision made bombs, not a waste barrell with some explosives taped to it like the terrorists would use.
  11. I can give you reassurance that that will never happen. A rapport by FOI(swedish defense research center) made a rapport where the probability of any terrorist association gaining access to such weapons was zero. And before you say anything; that rapport used source info gathered by US and Brittish intelligence. The chance of them having low-grade uranium(aka nuclear waste) is much higher but that cannot be used to maky any sort of weapon except a "dirty bomb", a weapon that requires its victim to stand still within the blast radius for aproximatly one year for them to absorb a dangerous dose of radiation " not exactly an intimidating weapon..
  12. but that wasnt until AFTER K2 had been released on the Xbox in the US..
  13. No, it wasnt. They never said anything about it anyway. We'd hear from gamespot and places like that before theyd reveal it to us with a small exception of Akari the interface programmer but he didnt know much as he wasnt a designer
  14. Theres a lot of people with really huge postcounts like Hades, Volo and Darque that doesnt really post anywhere it seems? The major part of their posts are in the archives now but I didnt see them spamming before the forums got rearranged either
  15. Even if its true that these extremist terorist groups would not have existed unless the US had funded them during the Soviet-Afghanistan war, or that London probably would have been spared if the UK had not been so supportive of the US, its not the right time or place to say things like that.
  16. Al-Quaida has no common goal because it doesnt exist as an organisation, it is a name given by the US to a multitude of more or less independant groups. Al-Zawahiri & co were quick to jump on that idea because it made them seem much more powerful than they were/are. London was targeted because/to: A. Disrupt the G8 meeting and the publicity that such an act would give, and the psychological effects of said publicity B. Britain is the US strongest partner in what the jihaddists percieve as a crusade against Islam C. Its a major world city with a very vulnerable public transit system
  17. What the intelligence servicves need is a faster beurocracy and the ability to cooperate with eachother, not more ways in which to infringe on peoples rights and privacy.
  18. Theyve counted six separate explosions so there is really no doubt of a Terrorist attack anymore. Intentionally timed with todays G8 summit in Scotland.
  19. Well, I have to say its starting to look like Terrorism, but given previous incidents its possible that its an accident.
  20. I dont understand how an electrical failiure can cause xplosions though? Except if it involves a gasline or two getting in the way.
  21. Ooooh, I did not know that. I get so confused by all tehse different thingies, I bought an issue of Xmen the other moht and I didnt understand anything. It seemed like they had rebooted that one too
  22. But Destiny was liek 10000 yeard old!? Eeewww... but, she got it on with both Forge and Sabretooth so she was bisexual
