  1. I cant wait and I cant afford it :D Dell offers a Laptop with a 7800 but its around 2500
  2. The only engine on the market that is on par with ID Softwares is the U3 engine, which isnt even released yet. To my knowledge, no other engine has the same advanced shaders, lighting and fast processing of normalmaps I played Hl2 just to ckech out the Source engine and I cant understand how anyone could claim its an equal of D3. Its built on old technology thats been patched up, it runs well on older machines but thats basicly because its an old engine in disguise
  3. You, my good sir, is a victim of cultural imperialism "
  4. Maybe I am... and Maybe.. Im not! *plays annoying random doodle on flute*
  5. Regurgitate - Purulent discharge from the urethrea Theyre great, as opposed to other grindcore, they dont pretend to have lyrics but openly admit to just screaming gibberish into the microphone.
  6. Anyway I just heard a lot of guys at school have bought Acer 5024WLMi and they say you cant get more bang for your buck so I think its going to be that one.
  7. Neg. For instance, the PC market is larger than all of the modern consoles combined. Where do you get this "information" really? "
  8. But what did you think of the one I found? The Acer? ..and I cant buy a Mac, although the programs we use are available for Mac, it could prove very difficult to get hold of a copy since the university use only PC
  9. Dell is not an option, they told me that for what I was going to use it for, they didnt have anything under 2100
  10. That's not what my fancy, 500-page, 50
  11. Great, another big waste.. why cant the console whores quit stealing games from us righteous PC users?
  12. As of a month ago, I am as you might know a student of Game Design & Graphics at University. For this education you need a laptop and since the school no longer provides you with the opportunity to rent one, we have to buy or rent our own. This is strange new territory for me, I know very little of mobile technology and hardware and I would appreciate very much if anyone could warn me of the worst pitfalls. The idea of making 3D graphics on a laptop computer is insane, but that is what we're going to have to do. As such, we need high-performance stuff. I found one online that seemed very good for the price. (1gig of ram seems VERY useful)
  13. Maybe I should have explained it further. The point of this "definition" is to show that this is a goverment who designs laws that make it possible for them to mark just about anyone as a terrorist. 'Real terrorism' is completely irrevelant to them. Its like the classic 1984 "The war was never meant to be won, it is meant to be continuous. The essential pact of modern warfare is destruction of the produce of human labour. A hierarchical society is only possible on the basis of poverty and ignorance. In priciple, the war effort is always planned to keep society on the brink of starvation. The war is waged by the ruling group against its own subjects, and its object is not victory over Eurasia or east Asia, but to keep the very structure of society intact" As such, this imaginary goverment fights an ongoing "war against terrorism" in order to keep the masses frighetened and controllable by making them believe there is a war being fought against an imaginary enemy, an enemy who really is those among the people who are willing and able to change things.
  14. Everyone named Kaftan Barlast perhaps. It's a hell of a lot more work than other stuff I've studied. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I know, I was sorely disapointed. There are few things that can kill an interest as fast as studying it at school
  15. Im currently working on building a world that is to be used in anything from a future computer game(in school) to a fiction novel. It takes place in the usual bleak future where nothing is good and everything is true. I was thinking of the politics that such a world might have and I came up with the question of how they would define terrorism. Naturally this is meant to poke at the real world and what might happen here, as any good sci-fi novel would Im looking for feedback on this, mostly grammatical in nature since Im not a native english speaker.
  16. Hypertext adventure books ruled. Whats the big fuss about FEAR? I dont get why this game is recieving so much hype.
  17. Its a good film but it has been hyped beyond all reason. Its a landmark of American hollywood filmmaking but I wouldnt say its better than any of its contemporary films that have been branded as "great cinema" ...and everyones been a film student " its a classic "I cant find a job so I think Ill study something fun&easy" thing.
  18. Either Ingemar is a Danish female name, or he intended some sort of pun relating to Ingrid Bergman (no relation) trivia: Ingemar Bergman is the last living of the truly great directors of the 20th century. And he lives in a mansion-like house by the sea about 30km north of me. He hates visitors but its ok, Im not much of a celebrity-chaser anyway.
  19. People like you make Ingemar Bergman cry.
  20. Dude, that was an awesome film... Michael York should have played Luke SKywalker, that would have been totally sweet :D *slaps kirottu with a 2x4 board* Dont you know cartoons are for kids? "
  21. This is very strange, Ive never seen an ADSL modem without an ethernet connection.
  22. Ive seen nearly all of Triers films including Dogville, I understood that film and why it needed to be so long and tedious in order for you to be able to really feel with Grace. But The second Riget series is my favorite. I get the same feeling with that and Dr Strangelove... its beyond hillarious, its like you want to explode Ive seen all the Danish Dogme films except En K
  23. Oh, I nearly forgot.. here are some Swedish gems. Definently worth watching Pang I prutten 150 knyck i baken Nu suger vi snuten "
  24. As a conneiseur of fine cinema, Im always apalled by the disgustingly shallow taste in film that some people seem to have *cough* Gladiator?! *cough* Im extremely bad at picking favorites so Ill just pull some random examples of what I have in my collection: Dr. Strangelove - Stanley Kubrick 1964 Fallen Angels - Wong Kar-Wei 1995 Man bites dog - 1992 Riget 2 - Lars von Trier 1997 Songs from the second floor - Roy Andersson 2000
  25. I used to play DoD back in the day.. around beta..mm.. it was long long before it was commercially released. Then we got into a big fight with the devs and they banned us all from their forums :D ..then they banned a big chunk of people for saying they were wrog to ban us.. then they banned the rest for asking why they had banned so many people I hate Valve, and Steam even more so no DoD:S for me
