The reason why I need AA is that bad graphics kill the suspension of disbelief for me. If I look at the screen to the left, I see a model placed among some textured polygons but if I look to the right screen with AA enabled, I see my character standing in the ebon hawk. Not to mention that it is highly annoying to see the aliased edges flicker as I move.

I think WWs mass-ejaculation of old WoD material was more C.R.E.A.M than VtR. FEAR is too slow, if it stutters with dual 7800s then it will probably stutter no matter what kind of monster graphics card you use ad that is completely unacceptable. It doesnt even look that good to me, the displacement mapped models and the speculars look good and thats about it. Hl2 wasnt exactly all that either, some parts of some levels like the raven place looked straight out of 1999 in some places.
