  1. because when the great graphics programmer made the feature that switches the particle-based water into the ordinary polygon ice, the great producer didnt give him enough time to tweak it so that the relative volume of the particles corresponded with the volume of the ice created. "
  2. It fits well into D&D, it is essentially just a slightly rewritten variation of magic. Most of the psionic spells are just altered regular spells. But they are best suited for human "targets" the notion of using mind tricks on unintelligent monsters or inhuman outsiders is a bit dodgy
  3. Well, the cityscape isnt really art... its concept art/illustration for school and I just did it for perspective and to learn using that brush better. Art is supposed to have a deeper meaning and a soul, illustration just needs to fit whatever your teacher/boss tells you to portray.
  4. Oi! Where are the friggin' boxes to click?! I cant do.. addition, what do they expect?!!
  5. I playing Fallout 1 during christmas but I dont know which fan patch to use, apparently the one on NMA fixes hings that doesnt need fixing and it got a bad score 5/10 so I dont want to use that. Help a fellow vault-dweller in need?
  6. You people who qatch anime, what would be the most annoying stereotype I could play?
  7. If you feel inferior then dont, Im not really as good as I seem to be.. if I showed my less fortunate doodles here youd see and I cheat, Im using a computer so I can alter and polish my stuff however I want. If I **** up I can just undo and if I want to try somethig I can just undo that aswell if it doesnt turn out right. I didnt think the practice thing was true but it is, you get alot better if you paint and draw often. Sure, you wont become a new Rembrandt without being born with a certain amount of talent but everyone can train their ability up to a good level. Just look at Van Gogh, he didnt start painting until he was 27 and then he just practised. You dont need to do it often either, just a small 10min doodle per day maybe. but he important thing is to always try and draw just above your ability, always try to do things that you cant really do(then hide them if they turn ou bad ) ..and for some reason, I think it has to do with the brain, its easier to paint or doodle with something(a brush with paint or ink) that does colour fields instead of lines(like a pencil). a led pencil is the most difficult thing you can doodle with.
  8. Ive played with another player playing a psionic character in our uni D&D game and I have to say that it doesnt belong in either the PnP or CRPG form of D&D Most of its powers works just like their magic counterparts except enemies get no Spell Resistance which is very bad for balance but the worst thing is that it brings "instakill" spells that completely ruin the fun of battles. if an enemy fails his willsave, he dies, end of story. Sure, the GM can nerf the rolls but how fun is that? That character got retired.
  9. Oooh, although his hair is kind of anime-ish youve got very good proportions and angles. Especially his hand and gun, good technique. edit: getting blurry pictures in Painter (and PS even if you shoulnt paint in PS to begin with) is common because of the way the brushes are made, its hard to counter the "smudge effect" when painting digitally. Especially with the "artists oils" brush that works by applying a slob of paint and then smearing it out to simulate painting wet-on-wet
  10. Just doing perpective and tring the artists oils brushes. The central perpsective is of course, completely skewed here. I was just playing around without payig attention to if my lines matched.
  11. Oh, Id better post some older stuff too just to fill up "Good morning, Doctor Liston"
  12. 20122005. Since everyone is so hyped about manga junk Im goig to teach myself how to draw proper western artsy comics to figh the hunns and preserve the essential decency of the white mans culture.. goddanm bats! *swings flyswatter* "So whats it gonna be, Joey? The clawhammer or the hatchet?" Painter IX with Wacom Intuos3 tablet. inspired(rip-off) by the graphic novel "History of violence" by John Wagner and Vincent Locke
  13. I suppose I should have written "beyond being updated to 3.5" Because after having played ToEE, the NWN combat feels very simplistic, boring and devoid of strategy.
  14. Does anyone know if theyve improved the rules system thingie with NWN2 or if that is one of the things that was left from aurora?
  15. Drunken riots are the best
  16. I would just like to remind you that the US's 1500billion dollar deficit is being kept in check with loans from Europe and Asia " so.. whos really dependant on whom here?
  17. You mean youre friggin' Jehova, Hades?!!
  18. I'm so incredibly glad it doesn't! Can you spell slow-paced.. S.L.O.O.O.O.O.W or something. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Congratulations. You just topped watching paint dry <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Phillistines! PHILLISTINES!!! *shakes angry fist*
  19. Ps:T is the only game where you could alter the law/neutral/chaotic thing isnt it? NWN only allowed for good/evil points. and I dont think the alignment system should be applied to PC's, it just there for things like "smite evil" to function. all it does with PCs is to restrict things
  20. I use it all the time, in fact, everytime Im not 100% sure what something is, I look it up. And when Im bored ill just go there and look at the featured articles. p.s skeletor could kick hemans bum any day of the week even if heman is played by Dolph Lundgren
  21. You can argue all day about how brave and dutiful you have to be as a soldier and how much youd like to drink a toast in their honour but I would say that to the people; any nurse, any schoolteacher, any farmer is worth twice as much as any soldier. To work all your life to help, educate and feed other people is commendable. Killing fellow human beings because someone tells you to is not.
  22. It gives you the creeps but you dont think its bad?! To me it sounds like where you take human beings and transform them into soldiers That was true 60 years ago during WW2, but I dont see how the Iraq war in any way protected the freedom and rights of US citizens? To me, this second "war on terror"(Reagan did the first one in Nicaragua and such places) has only stepped on the freedoms and rights of the people by giving them such splendid acts of human benevolence as the terror laws which or "black site" prisons. But ok, as long as youre innocent, you have nothing to fear... right?
  23. If you enjoy killing stuff then go buy and action game, I think HackNSlash CRPGs are a fundamentally bad idea.
  24. 1. That may have been true, I know I would much rather have picked Bloodlines to be a designer for. 2. But ToEE doesnt really offer much in terms of a complete adventure, a team of talented Designers could have written something far better in just a few weeks. The only reason I cant think of it that ATARi and/or WotC forced them to make a crpg version of ToEE, threatening to deny them the D&D license if they didnt.
  25. I got "The Temple of Elemental Evil" just because I was very curious about the combat system (since I want to develop CRPGs when I graduate or as a uni project) and I cant quite understand why Troika, who could actually make top notch ROLE-PLAYING games, would turn 180degrees and make a HacknSlash? I understand they wanted to stay true to the PnP adventure that is almost entirely focused on combat but why make ToEE and not a D&D adventure of their own, Troika-style?
