No one has really tried. It's a huge untapped market where as with things like EQ and WoW the PC MMPORG market is pretty competative and likely to become more so. FFXI actually required you to buy an additional HD so given that, the FFXI numbers on the PS2 are pretty good. Going to be 2-3 years before anything comes of this anyway.

KotoR 3: Ideas and Suggestions
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to Fionavar's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
Ewok. I want to imagine the look of horror on the end boss' face when he gets his arse kicked by a teddy bear. -
PC Gamer had a big exclusive Oblivion feature a while ago. Bribe might be a bit harsh. But since your exlusives are what bring readers (on or offline) there will naturally be a desire to keep large companies "happy". Otherwise your biting the hand that feeds you.
-
That wouldnt be particularly suprising.
-
Well usually it's just a few key NPCs which change.
-
The only problem with dialogue is it's a case of best fit since all character with the odd race/gender option will speak the same. Dialogue can be funny though and it can help people to connect with the character. Keywords, well you can imagine whatever you character is saying depending on the line of questioning. Which means as long as your imagination is up to the task every character can have their own speach patterns.

Still Drakengard II. It's the game that never ends. What I thought was going to be the end was one of those "false" endings that JRPGs are known for. Not that it would have made a bad end at all. But now the game has taken a new unexpected twist.

Presumably so did KOTOR II..

Didnt Morrowind get similiar scores ? Brutal might refer to the difficulty, or it could refer to the combat. Considering the big deal they were making about the AI it not being an AI revolution is pretty negative. And having seen it in motion just before the 360 launch. Not perfectly polished dosnt exactly fill me with confidence either. Probably get it eventually, but can't say I'm exited about it.

I'm done for the day anyway. It's our curl up on the Sofa and watch Midsummer Murders night That 1500 chain in Drakengard II took it right out of me too.

Couldnt really say. I hated the control system for the second one and could never get into it. But this one I quite like. I've only played the very first part since the copy I rented was damaged (happens with old games people dont know how to take care of disks) so I went out and bought one. I was really impressed with the VO of the characters as well as the likenesses.

Not sure what to play after Drakengard II. One of the Tales games is arriving this friday along with Onimusha 4 (which I cant really play till I finish Onimusha 3). Squadron Leader came on saturday and I picked up Onimusha 3 and Killer 7 (as bundle). And I ordered Dynasty Warriors 5 Xtreme after making that thread too. Found Crimson ButterflyIIn the back of the cupboard but thats been snagged.

Probably has something to do with what it's made from. What happened to the link to those Manga mousepads with breasts as wristsupport? I havnt used a mouse in years so not much need for a mouse pad.

Difference of Dark Jedi and Sith
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to Darth_Onivega's topic in Star Wars: General Discussion
I agree with Kreia. By helping someone you are removing their power to make you feel better about yourself. Or to put it another way, you are becoming powerful at their expense. In the long run you weaken them because you will not always be around to solve their problems. At which point they will lack the strength to help themselves because of your actions. Its like the whole "Give a man a fish" thing. The Sith teaches self reliance and thats an important lesson. Kreia also has the wisdom to understand that cruelty without purpose is not the way. Which is why she chides you for abject acts of "evil" without purpose. All in all I'd rather follow her teachings than lord whatsisnames :D -

New Games... Dated Gameplay

Lets not. Lets just put you on ignore -
Ace Combat arrived eariler. I was a bit worried because it had Squadron Leader on the box (name change for EU apparently). Still engrossed in DrakengardII though. With two districts left I figure i'm around half way and the clock is showing 21 hours.

New Games... Dated Gameplay
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to Judge Hades's topic in Computer and Console
Is that the best you can do Gameplay is comprised of features. That should be pretty clear. Change the features and you change the gameplay. Example remove the abilitiy to target (which is a feature) from Fallout and you have radically altered the gameplay. I don't need to twist anything the evidence is pretty clear. And supported by the definitions as well. Generally, the term "gameplay" in video game terminology is used to describe the overall experience of playing the game excluding the factors of graphics, sound, and the storyline. The term "Game mechanics" refers to sub-elements of the gameplay, but particularly the primary control and movement features of the game (thus excluding things like level design or AI). I've already shown in the Fallout example how removing a feature can alter the gameplay. -
New Games... Dated Gameplay
ShadowPaladin V1.0 replied to Judge Hades's topic in Computer and Console
<{POST_SNAPBACK}> You don't want to accept any known definition of gameplay even one you provided yourself. Hades asked about gameplay which is why were are using that term. If adding features means adding elements of gameplay which is what every definition as well as common sense suggests. Then as long as you add new features gameplay will not become stale. -
New Games... Dated Gameplay

Not according to the definition you provided. No it does not. Perhaps you should have read the article rather than just picking the bits out that suited you? Generally, the term "gameplay" in video game terminology is used to describe the overall experience of playing the game excluding the factors of graphics, sound, and the storyline. The term "Game mechanics" refers to sub-elements of the gameplay, but particularly the primary control and movement features of the game (thus excluding things like level design or AI). The definition I provided is based on interaction with elements in the game and how what the player does changes what is provided by the game. -

New Games... Dated Gameplay

But now you have contradicted your own provided defintition. Nothing in your defintion says anything about different. Could it be that you just dont know what gameplay is so you made up your own definition ? -
