  1. You seem very familiar with the Elder Scrolls what would you say about Battlecookies statement that the Elder Scrolls games have added no new features?
  2. I'd qualify that as gameplay.
  3. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Do you have a point ? This is what you said Now clearly Need for Speed has added new features. Thats pretty clear from reading the feature list. Why add new features if not to prevent gameplay from stagnating?
  4. Read the feature list again. Dont play it so I wouldnt know what the differences were between then anyway. I didnt say jumping I said Z axis. Yes flying would change the game but that basically proves the point about features effecting gameplay anyway. The change isnt always a possitive one, no one said it would be though. Thats logical when your actually racing
  5. Yes the skills needed for Underground are very different to those needed for most wanted. But they are still driving games. Depends what the gamemode is. Some can change the game more significantly than others. Well features are an aspect of gameplay. An NWN without a Z axis will play very differently to one with a Z axis for example. Likewise a big sprawling "living city" plays completely differently to a series of tracks.
  6. Going to add this to my list. http://shop.gameplay.co.uk/webstore/produc...le=chromehounds Don't even have the 360 yet. But if the game meets expectations I'll buy one to play it.

  8. This sounds like your sort of thing. Destiny Mode In the series' first-ever Destiny mode, your ultimate goal is to become the commander of an entire army. First, you'll create your own character that will start out as a foot soldier with limited fighting abilities. As you work your way up the ranks, you'll gain new fighting, strategy, and leadership abilities. Destiny mode gives you an unmatched level of control over your character by letting you choose which kingdom to defend and which officer to serve. Have you become disillusioned with a kingdom's leadership? Switch allegiance to another kingdom or officer! In battle, you'll build a reputation among the legendary generals. For example, Xiahou Dun could invite you to join him. By siding with him, you may stand to gain new skills and even a promotion. It's up to you to accept or refuse. Can only find a PS2 listing again though. And just to keep to the subject Dynasty Warriors is a great example of a series which has added features with each incarnation , without adversly effecting the core gameplay.
  9. Since your trying to improve your twitch skills give Dynasty Warriors a try. I like Empires. It's not the best , but it's got elements that others don't have like a strategy map and "empire" building. Umm.. I can only find Empires on the PS2. Dynasty Warriors 5 is definately available for the Xbox.
  10. Not for KOTOR although for another SW it's a must. http://forums.obsidianent.com/index.php?showtopic=40462 came across this thing this morning.
  11. I'd call them game defining features. Thanks for clearing that up
  12. Like as easy as NwN ? Which wasnt really that easy at all. I've never liked the mod scene anyway. It's always brought to mind that "well if someone is going to mod it anyway we don't have to be too careful about getting it right".
  13. Whats the story with the werewolf ?
  14. Eh... I thought it was because releasing bug-less games for PC was impossible and the inenevitable release of the patches would make the game worse each patch because every patch fixes over a dozen gamestopping bugs but adds in alot more " <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That's why it says another reason. Although the reasons you give are valid. Look at this way if your playing a game your not buying other games. When I was playing EQ I bought very few other games. Same would be true if I was downloading free content. It's great for the gamer since they only paid the
  15. True enough. End up being a big list if I did that.
  16. Closer than I thought given how PC centric this message board tends to be.
  17. What happens if it's not released for the 360 ?
  18. The only thing I've come across with radically different gameplay is the DS and thats only because the hardware makes it possible.
  19. Tool systems are just another reason why the PC industry is in decline. Shorter than Jade Empire ? Different games, different technological demands. Z axis isnt as big a deal in a first person game with one character as it is in a third person game with several characters. Oblivion does stuff NwN dosnt and vice versa. Some will prefer one over the other. Most will embrace both to a certain degree.
  20. Funny enough I was just playing it a bit in Gamestation. It looked much more impressive with the guy behind the counter at the controls though :"> They have a deal on with the old Xbox (trade in) so it would cost
  21. imagine if you were to stick a revolution controller into the handle (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t) (w00t)
