Negative influence has the same sort of effect for a different reason. I think of it as breaking down someones will till they just give up :D Your not the only one who saw a resemblence quite a few people have.

Since someone asked on the Suikoden thread here are my initial impressions. It's Dark, the box didnt come with a rating so when someone got torn appart in the opening scene it pretty much set the mood for the game. The main character Yuri is a harmonixer, someone who can morph into the form of various monsters. He's also a bit of a tortured soul who makes Squall look like a poster child for positivity. Roger Bacon is one creepy guy. Probably because he's just so normal looking. Onto the judgement ring. Rather than just select attack or magic (or whatever) on selecting an option you get a ring on screen with different shaded areas. You then have to press the X button as the needle moves around. Hitting more than one area results in a combo, and getting the needle in the critical areas results in higher damage. Each character has their highlighted areas in different places and each skill and or spell does also , makes getting into a rythm harder. You just have to "feel" the timing and it seems to work out. Cant switch it off, so if you have slow reactions, this probably isnt the game for you. best line in the game so far. "If anyone is going to eat her it's going to be me"! Yuri talking to two demons.

Thats the point where GOTO reprograms the remote. Afterwards he says to Bao Dur I have examined your droid and would like you to make similiar upgrades. When I watched the scene over and over , it was more like the remote sinking into the floor (graphic glitch) rather than being destroyed. HK has lots of nice things to say about T-3 after he's "shocked". Not sure if it was the location of the Star Forge or M5 he was hiding, perhaps both.

KOTOR II is an altogether more subtle experience. You really have to pay attention to your companions and the world at large or you will remain forever clueless. Bioware have a tendancy for not only being extremely obvious but also illuminating the obvious with a big neon sign. Like having journal entries that tell you to talk to your companions when you gain another level. My advice. Unlearn what KOTOR taught you replay KOTOR II with another character and really pay attention to the story.

Technically you cant become level 50, that will only happen if you exploit some loopholes. The top normal level is 30(ish) which would give you the same sort of split as 25/25 if you could actually reach level 50.

If you wait it will mean less levels in your new prestige class. Normal play has about 30 levels which is a 15/15 split. The prestige classes have many additional feats/powers, especially the weapon master. I dont really see much reason to wait, but it's your character

FF I & II were in no way related. FF has always been a franchise not a sequel. The only FF sequel has been FFX-2 because they couldnt tell the whole story in one game. Locking yourself into the same characters (FF dosnt even use the same world) is a sure way to a short term franchise. The reason that FF can grow is because sqenix dont tie themselves down to a specific character to continue the franchise. FFX X-2 was set in Spira, the new one is set in Ivalice (the place from FFTA).

Consulars get 4 force forms Weapon masters (guardians) get an a saber form exlusive to them. Out of the 11 forms any character can learn 7 of them. If your interested in force forms I would recomend Sith Lord or Jedi Master as they seem to get the same as a consular. IF you stick to consular till you have all the forms, the game will be practically over.

The only way I think you couldnt realise what that was for was if you didnt play KOTOR. Then of course it's not relevent anyway.

If they are doing KOTOR III you hear about it at E3. I dont really know if they would want to do KOTOR IV,V,VI at least not right away and not one after the other. One persons dream could be anothers nightmare:)

I think the developer thread idea could work. It would mean only having to look at a certain number of threads and if the moderators didnt mind, perhaps people could submit things they felt were important for consideration. Some extra stickies which deal with questions such as "when is the patch due" would probably help too.

I ended up with a Japenese wife I'm not really that into game romances. KOTOR II's I thought were more subtle although since I only played KOTOR I once as a male LS not much to compare from really.

I was thinking along the lines of perhaps originally you were always meant to turn all the Jedi as part of the story. Or perhaps there was some "secret" place that you needed to be to activate the conversation. Stuff gets cut all the time for a variety of reasons so I try not to read too much into it.

Mission was the only character I liked. Bastila was too english lady for my tastes , although the Americans seem to have a thing for it when you can count your english "lady" ex girlfriends in double figures it's kinda old.

I hope it's not a case of taking one last look around before turning the lights off.

Perhaps each person had a specific spot like Mira originally.
