  1. anyone who edits quotes that way to take them out of context deserves nothing but contempt.
  2. Popularity is a matter of scale. While the FF series has it's collectables. Collectables are way more popular in Japan. FF overall has sold over 50 million(probably more by now) games.
  3. Given a choice between sitting next to a pride of (fed) lions or a troup of fed chimps I'd pick the lions everytime. Chimp behavoir changes in a group. Then they can become like the worst case football hooligans. As for a hunam vs chimp. Well my money is on the chimp.
  4. Chimps are dangerous. They often kill and eat monkeys in the wild and its not a pretty sight.
  5. And that has to go down as one of the more stupid SW explanations
  6. You can overhear it when he is making a report.
  7. Carth said he served on it didnt he ?
  8. Oh I knew there was something odd about him when Yuri puts his fist through the back of his head. He just comes across as a really normal english gentlemen which I just find errie. Great game so far, not so sure about some of the dialogue. But it's a small thing and much less bothersome since its only text. No prob I thought you might get a kick out of it
  9. Well if you think of the time that has past and the fact that both Revan and the Exile forsook their loved ones it would make sense that they at least have moved on. You could always run into Carth and or Bastilia as your character and break the bad news. It could be that the very reason that they had to leave their loved ones behind was because they were destined for each other from the start. Love is funny that way. It has a way of crossing all sorts of boundries. Thats why it makes such a great story telling device. I used Jolee because I like him as a character and he has the right sort of outlook to make a good teacher but without being preachy. The other reason is that the PC would need to be raised in isolation so they couldnt make any force bonds. But it wouldnt have to be Jolee, Master Vandar might make a good alternative. But secreted away on a swamp world somewhere might just be too Yodery. Then again if paralels to the first trilogy are what you are looking for, you will get it in spades with this story. Whichever route KOTOR III ulitmately takes in order to tell a coherent story it's going to have to come up with some solid identies, or leave them nebulous like in II. Only in this case you now have two nebulous entities to deal with rather than one.
  10. I totally avoided this place before I finished the game.
  11. It's not as uncommon as you might think. :D Plus I'm not actually suggesting that they just drop their lightsabers and start doing it on the floor right there. Rather that afterwards they work together but are still not strong enough to accomplish their goals, then they have sex.
  12. Yes for the moment at least
  13. I think I finally came up with a solution to tying up the lose ends for both Revan and the Exile as well as for a protagonist for KOTOR III. The Exile follows Revan into unknown space. Where Revan hasnt been having a whole lot of success with destabilising the true Sith, either to stop them or to take over. The two meet up and after a battle which pushes both to thier limits ,they finally call a truce. Even together they still cant match the power of the true sith. Then they remember the Sithari.. And what could be more powerful than the result of a union between two of the most powerful force users of the age. Whether out of pratical reasons or feelings the two have a child. Unfortunately this draws sith like moths to a flame, forcing them to flee from planet to planet eventually back into known space. With no chance of beating the Sith they leave the child in the care of an old friend (personally I think Jolee rocks but it could be anyone really). Before returning to Sith space to lead the assasins away and finally face their destiny. You grow up in the care of Jolee who is now pushing on a bit even for a Jedi. While he has trained you in the ways of the force he has never taught you the ways of the Jedi or the Sith, only told you tales of the wars. The one thing he would never reveal was who your parents were. Only saying that when the time was right it would be your destiny to seek their fate and do what they could not. So while you are the child of Revan and the Exile, you dont have any of that hidden memory stuff, because you find out about your own origins by finding out what happened to your parents. And while Revan and the Exile are dead regardless, you will still be able to fill in those blanks in the same way as you would if you were recovering lost memories. In effect the player would get closure along with the character. While it does require that they be of opposite sexes I think as long as you let the player choose one and default the identity of the other it should be a good compromise (as everyone will invariably have a favourite). You could even go totally cheesey and redo the whole bad guy is your father (or mother ) routine, but that would make me groan so please dont..
  14. thats almost as awful as spawn of Revan and the Exile from the other thread.
  15. More like the ultimate force Muppet if EP I-III are anything to go by.
  16. Not really much you can do in view of the KOTOR endings. LS - Scene from EP IV where everyone gets a medal. DS- Take over the Galaxy. In both cases KOTOR II allowed the outcome, but not the consequence of it. Short of actually killing Revan off in some obscure batte, or having them in the game really not much else you could do besides what they did. If you killed them off people would be annoyed because they still (wrongly) see Revan as thier character. Put them in the game, then you have to make a choice or write and record 5 or 6 times more dialogue to cover the options (not realistic in 12 months). (actually I just thought of one but it would depend on where the story was going to go, it may or may not have worked).
  17. I thought about it some more and I think that should the series continue then you need to put this revan/exile thing to bed once and for all and then move on in KOTOR IV. While I can see the benifit of ignoring the whole thing I still feel that people will expect to see some closure. Especially in view of what was said in the interviews about giving KOTOR II a more ESB feel of something lurking in the shadows. The only realistic way , unless you want to be waiting for KOTOR III 2 years from now is for some sort of official identity for both characters. Otherwise you are going to end up with either a total mishmash of a story, or a story that is much shorter because of the need to allow for every eventuality. There is another option. Which would be to release a cinematic CD (quite popular with Japanese games) which would fill in the Reven/Exile story as the background for the new game. This way you get your closure (plus a cool movie, Xn2's is hours long) and you dont have to worry about either of them being in KOTOR III because KOTOR III would be the events following whatever it was they tried to do. My latest whacky way of starting KOTOR III... Revan and the Exile meet on in the unknown regions. Both reliase that alone they cannot hope to deafeat the leader of the true sith. Even together they would not be able to stand against them. So being practical types they have a child :D (sort of popped into my head while I was typing put the revan/exile thing to bed).. Unfortunately as they are constantly hounded by Sith fleeing from planet to planet eventually they have no choice but to leave the child behind in the care of a crotchety old guy (guess who). Finally cornered they give it all they have and go out in blaze of glory. Meanwhile raised in obscurity on a backwater planet and taught the ways of the force though not the ideoligies, you grow up.
  18. If Anakin was the child of the force and his destiny was to equalise it. Which he pretty much did by killing off all the Jedi not to mention the odd planet or two which got in the way of that. Then the force is responsible for conflict. But it depends on your point of your view. As Kreia says conflict is what makes us strong, peace makes us weak. Evolution is spurred on by conflict so a peaceful galaxy would stagnate.
  19. I've only ever played Male/LS Revan but once the "big suprise" was over I understood that the character was no longer mine anyway. So ultimately I really couldnt care what happens to him/her. I've also played the four different possible versions of the Exile, so again not really bothered if they choose one and go with it.
  20. It dosnt make any difference whether or not Kreia is evil, it's not important to how the story plays out. Kreia can be a lot less evil than the PC when it comes to dealing with situations.
  21. Yes it does sort of. Technology hasnt changed much in 4000 years.
  22. The bathroom Jolee's rimward adventures reminded me of that time my grandad dropped his glasses down the lavatory...
  23. High praise indeed.
  24. Dragon Ball Z , could be even worse though you could end up with Rexile "fusion ho"!
