  1. TheForce.Net has an editorial by Craig Dixon called KOTOR2: The Incompletion Controversy. You can find it here: http://www.theforce.net/jedicouncil/editorials/030405.asp Sorry if this is off-topic, I am unable to post any new topics (I get some German MySql errors). Trumbo

  3. Behaviour confirmed for Radeon 9800 Pro 256 Mb. Trumbo
  4. Happened to me too. I visited the party selection screen often... on two planets Kreia mysteriously appeared when I had not chosen her, (replacing another companion) just to lecture me again... to bad the Ebon Hawk doesn't have smuggler space to stow the old hag in. (am I the only one who just didn't like Kreia as companion? Why isn't there an option to ditch a companion forever, i.e. G0-T0, Kreia... if they are important to the plotline they can follow me around in their rented shuttle). Trumbo
  5. After the final conversation with I am thrown back into the main game menu (I have movies disabled). When I enable movies I can only view one movie at a time before I have to restart the game (it just hangs). My question is this: there appear to be two movies related to the ending, Is it there and did I miss it?According to walkthroughs it is possible to "get the evil ending or the good ending". I always get the same ending. What are your experiences? Trumbo

  8. If the game is in an unacceptable state right now, it is your right as a customer to return it and let whoever you bought it from know why you aren't happy. But that's about it. Whining and moaning and harassing the devs on their own boards is not your right. Let's not confuse things. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You'll find it is you who is mistaken, my young apprentice...
  9. Influence lost: Trumbo. While I agree with many things you say I couldn't disagree more with the title you've chosen : "What's done is done." Were it not for other intelligent posts on this board someone might mistake you for an Obsidian shill - or worse, a LA shill. ("Ok you guys had your time to rant, now shut up because it's just not gonna happen."). I am not going to shut up. I am going to keep reminding OE and LA of their obligation to ship bug-free software, until the patch is on my harddrive, not before. And I am going to keep asking for a content-patch until someone from OE or LA tells me it is not going to happen, not before. With that title you appear to be saying: Shame on you, Kotor community! Not so. Remember the saying: Fool me once, shame on you, OE and LA. Fool me twice, shame on me. Trumbo

Won't you now, Hanrar?" *cracks whip* Hanrar: "Ruh-Oh." _________________ Kreia: "The power of the Force is insignificant to Oil of Olaz. Watch and learn..." _________________ Female Exile to Darth Sion: "No, I hate you - yet, I find you strangely attractive... oh , your helmet is so BIG..." _________________ Exile to Visas: "I have some questions for you." Visas: "Ask... and I will answer." a) You keep bumping into that low-hanging girder above the loading ramp - are you trying to tell me something? b) Why are you running around the galaxy in your grandmother's curtains? c) Can you take Kreia out shopping while we go into the refugee sector? I'd like to help out a few people without listening to a freaking sermon every time I give five credits to someone. d) Can you decapitate the next commoner for me who badmouths the Jedi when I speak to him? I'm kinda low on lightside points as it is. __________________ Exile, to the 13th down-on-his-luck NPC beggar: "No, no... don't be silly! I may be trying to save the universe but I always have time to go diving in trash compactors looking for your lost Wookiee doll." __________________ Exile, to the 17th poor NPC commoner: "So in summary, I will get you the missing hindparts of your droid, pay off your gambling debts, have you reinstated in your job, talk to the local crime boss about your girlfriend, and in return you will grumble about how Jedis are the worst thing since venereal disease and then offer me a measly reward you don't really expect me to accept?" Atton, exasperated: "For gawd's sake, hire a freaking receptionist for these guys! We need to focus on the big picture here: Sith - Republic - Universe. Sheesh!!" ___________________ Trumbo
  11. Just one question... is this how you got up to 5550 posts on this board? Take it easy, man Trumbo
  12. Imagine two Ferraris - one red and one blue. The red Ferrari is beautiful, drives like no other car and turns on a dime. Excellent. The blue Ferrari also looks great. You look at the grill and the hood and wonder how fast it'll go. But when you get in the car you realize it was rear-ended by a dumptruck, there are bullit holes in the trunk and somebody's St Bernard peed all over the backseat. (You're gonna want that fixed, right?) Yes you have a point, we don't know if Bioware would've done a better job. But since we don't hear from either LucasArts of Obsidian what are we supposed to think? Would you not go with the company who produced the red Ferrari, even though you had no idea of the circumstances under which it was made? I would. I agree with Mr Buttfacepoop (whose name would earn him instant ban on my board, but I digress) on the deplorable number of bugs in the game. Ending or no ending, it feels as if I'm betatesting and I didn't sign up for that. As for the leftover content, there's probably a good story there (Heh.. I mean who will blame who, not the game story itself). (There is also a lesson learned in not trusting all the sycophanting game publications trying not to rub LucasArts the wrong way. Alas, that's the way the industry is these days.) Trumbo
  13. The Buddy Christ! I knew he looked familiar! Yep, first choice here too. Trumbo
  14. I will add to this the bugs I found: - Forest Gump Syndrome: the PC starts running even though you aren't touching any keys. You can make him stop by pressing 'backward' but he's off again once you let go. Usually resolves when you save/reload. - Sideways Bug: forward/backward don't work anymore. PC can be moved along by turning 90 degrees and have run left/right! Save+exit, restart will solve this. - Loose Cannon Disorder: PC reacts to single keystrokes as if you've been pressing the key for minutes at a time; try to make a 180 and the room is spinning. Accompanied by frame loss, this bug is most prominent in the Peragus Fuel Depot. Haven't seen it anywhere else yet, but I'm still only at Telos. - Black Screen of Death: Viewing a cut scene between planets is guaranteed to result in a BlSOD (I too have an ATI - Radeon 9800 Pro). It's a hassle to restart, enable movies, dumb down the resolution to 800x600 and turn off grass, shadow, AA, AF etc., view movie, kill hung process, restart, disable movies and turn everything on again. Guess 'this is not the sequel you're looking for'... Trumbo ps. my gf already calls it "KOTOR: Torment"
