  1. Unlike some people I have no problem with the truth. You seem to have this idea of the PC as an ideal machine. Where in fact it's a bunch of things stuck together. The Xbox on the other hand is a standard unit. Ergo you cant compare THE PC to THE XBOX because there is no such thing as THE PC. Only A PC, one which will improve the more money you fork out for it. So perhaps you should just quit using the PC and come up with a configuration and associated price. Still continue with your naive BS if it makes you happy just quite filling my PM box with crap. Unless you can build a PC for $99 the Xbox wins hands down.
  2. It's just something about why you turned away. Initially I think she thinks you chose to turn your back on the force through choice. But then she finds out you only did it because it was the only way you could survive or you feared the power. Ultimately outside of her pet project to destroy the force she wanted you to surpass her in every way. And you couldnt do that while she still lived. Which meant she had to give you a reason to kill her. Not like you would really need one as DS but it had to work for both sides.
  3. It's very GTA like, although I'm not a fan of GTA because I dont have much interest in the concept. I just fancied something actiony for a change. The deck of 52 pretty much sims up the non linerarity of the game. Your goal is to find the ace of spades, along the way you can work for a variety of factions and your relationships will eithe grow of deteriate over time as the factions work against each other as well as the NK. Complete missions and they give you intel on where you can find other "cards". Very early on I got my hands on a helicopter which was great fun , until I flew it over an allie base and they shot me down thinking I was NK. The airdrops are great too, you find them scattered about the playing field and you can then call them up to your location. It's a very fun dynamic game most things can be blown up and driven.
  4. Consoles I think are far more social. You all sit in the same room, or side by side. Even at a LAN party you are isolated from each other. So while PC owners can be perceived as geeky loners, it's not something that applies to consoles in my experience. Eru,It's really not relevent whether or not a PC can outperform a console on paper. It's only relevent whether or not you are getting a constant supply of new games that use the system to it's fullest. Something that hasnt occured on the PC for many years. Look at these boards and how many people have changed platforms. Then consider that with even more graphically enhanced machines thats going to increase.
  5. True, there is a huge different between finishing a JRPG and completing one. The celestial weapons in FFX were a big time sink. But I stuck it out. Except for Kimari's could never do the butterflies. And the sun crest was a case of do until you get lucky.
  6. I'm suprised no one has offered to marry you yet
  7. It's rather good. Having a a wiggly butted Chinese agent with Jenifer Hales voice dosnt hurt either. :D "
  8. If you want an in game explanation you need a high influence with Bao Dur.
  9. That was the councils conclusion yes. But they never really understood what was going on from the start anyway. Well this is just conjecture but. If the Exile formed bonds easily (prior to M5) then he would feel those events up close much more severely than anyone. In effect it would be like dying a million deaths and the only way to stop the pain was to rip himself out of the force by severing his feelings. He probably did this without understanding why, like a survival mechanism. Nihulus embraced the power, but in doing so lost his humanity and become a sort of force vampire needing to feed on the force just to survive like a vampire needs blood (nothing more than a parasite) who would eventually destroy all life and then himself through hunger. I expect Visis plays the role of "herald" like the Silver Surfer does for Galactus. Yes the Exile was afraid to face the pain of all those deaths. That is why Kreia is disapointed and goes off and does her thing on Malachor.
  10. From what I understand the events in EP25 will be the start of ROTS. So I expect Couruscant will be the opening battle (which should at least start the movie off an a high). I'm glad they gave him a better looking hand anyway. The terminator thing looked well out of place considering that technology hasnt changed much in 4000 years. Have to admit they made good use of it in the cartoon though.
  11. What about Paul McGann ? Or was it Joe? Or dosnt that one count as part of the series?
  12. Depends how you define it. If you define interaction as you clicking a dialogue and the character repsonding then avoid. On the other hand if you forgo the clicking then the interaction in JRPGs is a lot deeper and involved because that is how they are written.
  13. JRPGs have more interaction. But you dont get to control it in most cases. If you like the choice thing, then you wont like them. If you like watching the characters relationships develop over the game then you will.
  14. Dawn of War is one of the few PC titles I've bought in recent years get a from me. Does a nice job capturing the spirit of 40k rather than the rules.
  15. An online golf RPG.. I think I will stick to the real thing.
  16. Ok I wont call you a toll I'll just call you a missinformed biggot.
  17. It's given away in the cinematic.
  18. Coming from someone who thinks that 90% of WWII was fought by the Russians is highly amusing. Or have you given up on that particular falacy now?
  19. Saxons, Normans, Danes. I think the last time the mainlanded was invaded would be 1066. nothing really springs to mind after that.
  20. I found the gamepad flawless. Never really had to think about controls and thats the sign of a good control system. I've not actually played KOTORII on the PC. Controls different from the first ?Because a lot of people complained about them.
  21. Well according to the council the exile didnt feel the force at all, only by leeching through the people he traveled with. Which is why they wanted to cut him off on Dantooine. Whether or not that is true I dont know. Personally I think once the Exile reintergrated with people he learned to feel again. If you consider a big part of the force is "feeling" then shutting off your feelings not forming relationships etc would have the same effect. Your also told that the council never had the power to exile you. Exile was a path of your own choosing. Presumably to come to terms with events at Malachor V.
  22. I bought the whole console set for around
  23. Since I dont enjoy wasting times with pointless PM's I thought I'd reopen the thread. Lets get the obvious out of the way first. Q.Will A PC run KOTOR better than an XBox. A. Depends on the PC. Both the PC's boon and bane is the fact there is no standard PC. Q. Can a PC bought for the same cost as an Xbox run KOTOR II. A. Not bloody likely.
  24. Wouldnt it be more likely that they got it from the movies? Since that is what he is copying.
