  1. I'd be much happier with my kids searching for porn than I would leaving their personal details all over the internet.
  2. Ah fickle me swapped out Voltorb for Mawile . This one comes with false swipes which means that the attack will never reduce hp's below 1. Makes capturing a lot easier. It's a steel type too which makes it all but immune to a lot of attacks. Still gets shredded by shadow moves though. It's a freaky looking little thing too.
  3. Oh yes Tedi is a scary little beast. I forgot to add it comes with the pickup special ability , so not only is it effective in battle. It also scrounges up useful things like kings rocks and potions. Sadly when it evolves into Ursaring it can't do that anymore . Although with a base attack of 4 per level I guess it dosnt really need to.
  4. You would have to be a bit of a tool to give your real address out. It does sound like the sort of thing that should be under parental consent for anyone below the age of 16.
  5. Espeon - Psychic Main duty is to take out poison and fighter types. High special attack also allows him to burn right through most things with below average special defence. Bite is an anti psychic and ghost weapon made effective by the high special attack. Kind of delicate on physical defence and toast against a dark pokemon since his attacks are either useless (dark is immune to psychic) or low damage. Tediursa - Normal Very high base attack and a high relationship count makes it's return attack very strong. The addition of brick break (reward for colloseum battle) makes it a good stand in for a fighter type and the high attack mitigates the lack of STAB (same type attack bonus). Fake tears means it works well in combo with special attackers like Espeon and Voltorb. And can even allow Golbat to do respecable damage with bite in a pinch. Houndour - Fire/Dark Primarily used for an anti plant and anti bug attack it's also a very effective ghost and psychic "killer". Charm attack drops physical attackers damage quite significantly for protracted encounters. Has high enough special defence to take all but the strongest water attack and survive (barely). Nuzleaf - Plant Nuzleaf has one purpose. To get rid of those annoying ground/water mixes. It can also learn some useful TM's. Voltorb - Electricity Voltorb deals with flying and basic water types. It also acts as the stunner for capturing shadow pokemon. Since shadow attacks are super effective on non shadow pokemon it's not purified like the others. Golbat - Flying/Poison Golbat is a new addition. Captured as a Zubat from a pokespot it leveled quickly and soon evolved. It's primary mission is to get rid of lotads since both it's types will focus on the plant while being able to ignore the water. It also makes a dandy anti bug ,plant and fighter. (This lineup will almost invariably change throughout the game. Actually thats a given since I plan to add a Larvitar as soon as I can). Espeon and Tediursa should make it to the end game though although Tedi will evolve into an Ursaring and will look less teddy bear and more grizzly bear. Now for those pictures(in party order).
  6. Sounds interesting. Since I'm not really carrying any preconceptions about it I should be ok with it. Think I saw a copy on the rental shelf a while ago. Unless it's been sold on should be able to take a look on the weekend. Thanks for the heads up.
  7. Might have to give that one a whirl if I can find it. I was under the impression they were all platform games.
  8. Its kind of funny but I dont take them too seriously. Pokemon is one complex game underneath those little critters.
  9. Wider range of powers. Most useful being Thunder Wave which makes capturing easier. I'm taunting things into hitting my Voltorb which has the same effect albeit only 30% of the time and involving considerably more pain to the ball one. Umbreon is more of a tank. Very high defenses and annoying powers like confuse ray and toxic.
  10. Platform game ?
  11. It seems suited to a handheld format in some respects but not in others. Games tend to take too long for one thing. The DS is idealy suited though with the split screen. If games took about 5 hours I'd manage to finish one a week. Certainly be fun though, especially if they tap into the WiFi the way Mario Kart does.
  12. The two Kingdom Under Fire games and Halo (if your into that sort of thing) Thats about the only things I can think of.
  13. I imagine it's got a lot to do with rushing everything so much. It's also the arse end of world wide releases. Ironic thing is , there is little worth rushing out for in the launch titles anyway.
  14. Cid is doing Civilization for the DS I've read a ton of faulty 360 reports. Kind of feel sorry for people who ended up with one. But like I said I'd much rather have the Japanese test everything for me first it avoids that sort of thing.
  15. Just in America. Have to see if anyone is heading over there although the European release is immenent apparently. Still
  16. Thats not the same thing as having power over yourself.
  17. No one would be caught dead wearing a fake designer label or using a fake designer product (unless they were too poor to associate with that circle anyway) It would be social suicide of the highest order. That arguement dosnt apply to games. For starters because games dont have a luxury market value and second because you dont publicaly display games in the same way.
  18. If your interested in squad level in general rather than the UFO type. Buy a GBA (or DS) and play Fire Emblem and the othe Fire Emblem. The GC Fire Emblem is tops too. Generally though the handhelds are repleat with strategy/tactics games.
  19. Played the first one. I'd say your better off with Xcom. In the first one you couldnt even enter buildings. Don't know what improvements have been made but I followed it for a bit and it didnt look upto Xcom standards. I'm still waiting for RebelStar on the GBA (same folks who made Xcom).
  20. Practical or theory ?
  21. Yep break out the punishment stick in a big way. If I ran a software house I'd employ a team of ninja :D
  22. Not that I disagree but the better graphics get the less room for improvement there is.
  23. Rope is very cheap
  24. The biggest revelation of my young life was that girls liked sex. Prior to that I thought it was something that they didnt like doing and only did under protest following rounds of expensive dinners and gifts.
