UFO Aftershock
Well there are two available on the GBA both very good (the first one is the hardest since it's pretty much linear (with bonus missions) and you have to shop as you battle which is a bit of an odd concept. The second one is similiar but you have an overland map which can visit locations on. If you want to shop then you just need to pop back to the old location (and hope it hasnt been overrun). The GC one is my favourite. I just kind of clicked with Ike. It starts off quite basic but as the missions progress you are given more and more options. The missions also seem to have more variety to them. It's also got some lovely cell shaded cut scenes. You also have skills you can assign to the characters and the bonus XP which is really handy for keeping less able characters upto pace. People always disagree on which Fireemblem is best. Personally I'd buy a GC and a GBA player, then you can play GBA games on the gamecube.

My Pokemon Party
Forgot the biggest difference :"> In the GC version almost all the battles are double battels. Meaning you have two pokemon out at a time. In the GBA version most battles are single battles meaning you only have one out. Double battles are more difficult and speed takes on a greater importance. Also it's not just enough to send out a pokemon that is advantages (like in single) since the AI will almost always send out something to cover it's weakness. For example it will send out a water pokemon which you could counter with electricity. But it may also send out a ground type which will almost certainly OKO your electric pokemon either after it has acted , or before depending on speed.

They are all good. Obviously in the GC version you get the nice graphics but the mechanics are basically the same. The big differences are in the GBA version you get to roam the map freely where as in the GC version you can only use the overland map to access specific locations. In the GBA version you have to use HM's (hidden moves) to open up new travel routes. In the GC version you access them in different ways as part of the plot. If you have never played a Pokemon game before Fire Red or Leaf Green are probably the easiest to get into. Emerald is really good value too with a totally different set of pokemon (in the most part). But that said I'm having a blast with this XD one and the battles are better overall than all but the frontier region in emerald.

My Pokemon Party
I'd say so, although it would depend on how much you like tinkering around with the system. It's more straightforward than the GBA versions. The battles are more intense since you very rarely fight pokemon with standard movesets. Even after you finish the game (should take around 30-35 hours assuming you dont play any of the mini games) every trainer gets a new set of super powerful pokemon (and better AI) so you can pretty much continue as much as you like. Theres even an after mission game where you take part in a super tournament and win something really nice.

New Heros of Might and Magic V preview
We pretty much parted company at III.

What are you playing now?
I played that one when it first came out. Seemed to me more of an action adventure than an Ultima game at the time.

Games that make you think
It would indeed. What makes it worth while is that in FireEmblem certain classes are way more difficult to level than others. Then again few things are more rewarding than watching Rolf go from snot nosed kid archer to totally lethal sniper.

Flu season sucks
Actually I've quite enjoyed mine. Aside from the one night when my sinusis ran like taps. All three of us are ill so we packed the kids off to parents to keep them germ free. I'm the least ill though so perhaps thats why I've enjoyed it. Had to do a meeting yesterday though which wasnt too nice but otherwise it's been fun.

Games that make you think
The rescue mission on Fire Emblem Path of Radiance (GC). Thats probably the last thing that required some serious thought. Basically you have to rescue a series of prisoners while guards patrol. However if you end your turn within the range of a guard (and the range is huge) the alarm goes off. Likewise if you talk to a prisoner and then leave them in the cell and the guard spots them the alarm goes off. You need to pull out all the tricks like rescuing characters and transporting them. Since not only will you need to rescue your own characters (because there are so few spaces the guards cant see) but also rescue the prisoners too. In many cases there is only one correct move you can make. It's also really easy to start of with your group and then suddenly find yourself with nowhere to move that wont take you into the range of a guard. Manage that and you get around a 1000 bonus XP (or about 10 levels worth to spread amoung your party). The good news is, you dont have to do it. You can simply set off the alarm and take out the reinforcements as they arrive. Dont get any bonus XP for that though. There are quite a few instances where not killing certain units or meeting certain goals reward you with XP. But the prison break is the real highlight.

If that were really the case I dont think there would have been a more jiggly cheat code to increase her size and jiggle factor. Get the feeling the programmers need to get out more.

Tediursa evolved into Ursaring. Here are the before and after stats. HP 80/94 SA 37/51 AT 64/94 SD 38/52 DF 41/56 SP 35/45 Heres a before and after. Ursaring likes to snap fruit trees in half rather than climb them which says a lot about it's character.

Sounds like the Original Pokemon Colloseum. Purify every single shadow Pokemon. Defeat all 100 trainers on mount battle and you got a Ho-Ho as a reward. Perhaps one of a more puzzle oriented nature would be the buried chambers in Ruby/Saphire where you got the regi's. Even had to translate brail for that one. Games could learn so much from pokemon

UFO Aftershock
What sort of excuse is that I have the same problem with RTS games. Fire Emblem is TB though like JA so it's not like you are under any sort of pressure.

Got Gamesnflix
Are you talking about that oddworld game ? I managed to track one down earlier today.

The end is the beginning is the end.
Shame it's not in the good way.

Anyone who likes JA for the characters should play Fire Emblem.

My Pokemon Party
I'm guessing you have never played it then. So are completely oblivious to just how complex the mechanics which lurk under those little monsters are. Heres three very basic examples. 1. Fake Tears on a pokemon faster than your special attacker. Fake Tears will halve the special defence and almost certainly result in an OkO. 2. Sticking your own status effects on a pokemon with the guts trait while using the Facade attack. Poison works best for this, what happens is you get double the damage of facade plus a 1.5 increase in power for guts. That pretty much levels anything that dosnt resist normal. 3. Teeter Dance with own tempo. A pokemon with the own tempo ability is immune to confusion. Teeter Dance confuses everything on the battlefield except the user. The result is both of the opponents are confused, but your completely immune. Follow that up with Swagger (doubles attack power but leaves the target confused) and own tempo becomes a very useful ability. You can also do the same sort of thing by giving the pokemon a confusion cure berry to hold.

My Pokemon Party
I aquired this little character from an ingame trade earlier on. Swapped it for a whooper. Might not look too impressive right now, but look what it grows up as. Oddly it came with outrage and dragon dance (both dragon moves) and dosnt have any ground moves. They really gave them some odd movesets in this game. Thats Larvitar on the left and Tyranitar on the right (pupitar not shown).

Controversy Over Myspace
Sure I've never had a problem with Porn. Not like I would be overjoyed if one of them became a porn star , but I wouldnt disown them or anything.
