  1. Sorry I don't know what's wrong with the save. Just copied what was in Saved Games\Pillars of Eternity II folder. What I did for the leader to talk to me was first I took "A Shrewd Proposition" quest from the pirates and instead of helping them I wiped the slavers out. Then went to speak to Wahaki and asked to see the leader about it. She's been pretty friendly since then. I passed whatever checks she had for the Leaden Key quest though, if that matters. I also released the dragon after taking some of its soul with metaphysics checks (need 9 I think). Fruitful Alliance quest pops up right after you tell the Wahaki leader, like this. The option you need to pick for that disappears later on.
  2. Never had trouble healing them before with Shieldsister Daelia (I think her name is). 3 star surgeon if that's important. Edit: Healing came up on 3 occasions. 4th one had a dead crew.
  3. I hadn't considered it too much until this one ruin I was exploring. We were sneaking slowly going room to room under the light of Xoti's lantern. I saw this lootable square in one of the rooms and while walking that way. The light slowly illuminates the room, blood stains on the floors, skulls on the walls... I just imagined my 8 constitution 6 resolve character going "Xoti...*gaging a little bit* darling could you leave the room please... I think I'm gonna... *Sickened for 2 hrs*" You really feel the atmosphere.
  4. Though I agree with time sensitive issue, I really dislike side content after main content. Played FFXV recently for example, and it introduced new dungeons and weapons only after the game was over... So that I can use them for... what? New game plus? Once the main story is over the game is over for me. I go make a new character and start over. So it's always better for me if there are times in the main story to complete side content, where time isn't an issue and we aren't rushed. For example if the villain went to another another dimension or w/e and WHO KNOWS when they'll be back... or like in Fallout 2 when you didn't really know where GECK was and had to search around. Those are the times when I complete all the side stuff. But if you know where the villain exactly is and have the weapon to end it all, well... Makes it hard to justify doing side quests. So longer main questlines with occasional slowdowns in pacing to give us a chance to do more side questing is what I like.
  5. I have the same problem. The only reason why Huana achievement is all that's left to complete I think this issue is connected to two earlier quests, "The Shadow Under Neketaka" and "Fruitful Alliance". Right at the end of "The Shadow Under Neketaka" quest Onekaza dialogue goes like this > A B C D Onekaza is sending you to ally with the Wahaki and give them the phrase. BUT... If you go right right away, the quest "Fruitful Alliance" starts and you ally the tribes. If you don't do that quest right away (or maybe before heading to Ashen Maw), you can't ask the tribe leader about allying with Onekaza again. You never get the quest "Fruitful Alliance". I think the final quest gets stuck because it is expecting you to ally with Wahaki before heading out to Ondra's Mortar... but you can't do that since the option is gone if you missed the chance. At least that's my hypothesis. Talking to the village chief (north west) in the following saves should show the difference. Missed opportunity save: Link Still have a chance save: Link
  6. That's brilliant. Have to try that next time. Unfortunately the dragon for some reason got tunnel visioned and tried attacking Tekehu only in my game (kept happening after loads too). I just blocked him off with other characters and killed it... It was very underwhelming.
  7. Maia is great, love her character...when she's not talking about Rauatai. I get that she's a soldier and loves her country and thinks it can do anything and all but come on... I can wipe your citadel off the map solo Maia! :D
  8. I had some issues with them here and there... Xoti butts in too much when the adults are talking, Maia thinks her faction is power incarnate (made me go wipe out Brass Citadel just to give her a bit of perspective on their frailty)... but that's the fun of it to be honest. :D
  9. Before finding a long ranged elemental damage dealing weapon (Frostseeker), I was sending Eder in with a Mace. Yea, THIS was happening, but nothing a rest won't clear up. :D
  10. I just went upstairs and killed Orron's party, made some space. That solved the issue with no drawbacks I can think of. All aboard kids!
  11. I've had a stealth character who pickpocketed everyone I met and by the very end, you can get to pretty much everyone with around 20-22ish stealth (with like 3 guards observing you at that point in Vailian embassy upstairs for example). About 8 (or 9...I think it was 8 ) sleight of hand is needed to steal everything but the things that need 8 are fine daggers and a gem or two here and there... Not worth the extra points. I've done fine with 4 throughout. In a pinch you can use consumables for it if you really need more. If I remember right you won't see anything that require over 18 mechanics, and those are shortcut quest doors and such that you'll find a key for anyway. 15 mechanics is good enough for some of the best loot you can get (store chests and such). Btw, you can make an assassin with low stealth. Just keep him out of notice range at first, then Escape in for backstab. Escape doesn't break stealth if you don't teleport on top of them and you can attack immediately after. It's like 1 guile costing ranged backstab. Edit: Oh and for contextual stuff, stealth requirements are complicated. Some you can do solo but others need party check. You can have godly stealth but Eder will mess it up by being super loud anyway :'( Edit 2: Forgot to mention that people don't usually care if you just walk up and unlock their stuff. USUALLY. There are some who freak out. You can save scum to figure out who cares and who doesn't :D
  12. I just had the same reaction! Those skeletons were just... I mean they are probably strong, been hearing a lot about the greatness of beckoners but... Size matters ok?! :D
  13. That's a cool idea. I have been avoiding blunderbuss weapons cause of the range but I might give that a shot. Maybe use Wild Shot then swap to pistols. I usually have Thundercrack pistol in the main hand so I can paralyze with the first shot and nuke with the second on a Full attack.
  14. Yea, you have about 20% chance to see one or the other total. Since it hits twice with driving flight you see it do the split every other hit. Though it triggering 8 times doesn't happen every fight, you see 4-5 triggers often and very quickly cunks high health enemies. The drawback is the reload time unfortunately. It's not 100% reliable, but procs enough to be helpful.
  15. How does this work with crit? Imbued Ammunition just adds crush damage and a chance at another effect from enchantment... how do you get the damage to proc that many times? I upgraded it to chance to split into multiple bullets enchantment (up to 3 I think). Driving flight lets it hit twice. Since it proc'd 8 times after DF I'm guessing the splits also have a chance to split. Otherwise it would have hit 6 times max. It looks like two driving flight hits split (2+2) and those split (2+2+2+2). I mainly put crit in there cause of how much it adds to the damage even with pistol. It's mostly relevant for the frost bow (frostseeker?) I have as backup that triggers on crit like this.
  16. That's what I do too. Got a bunch of pets and items with attribute boosts in the main's inventory so I can boost whatever is needed for dialogue.
  17. There should be a time box on top of the behavior. If it's set to 0 they just keep using it again and again and again... Check the frenzy duration and write whatever that is into the frenzy behavior's time box. That should solve your problem. :D Edit: Action set cooldown box is what you are looking for. Put frenzy in there by itself and set the cooldown.
  18. This is pretty much what happened. This. That. Edit: Sorry forgot, it only triggers a disengagement from enemy when he's lifting his weapon not when he's just chasing. Edit2: and this somehow became a double post... my bad
  19. Maybe you can stack Stride? Since passives stack and all, maybe Boots of Speed and Walking Cloak. There's also a belt for it. I got Eder wearing those and he also has Fast Runner feat thing. If he wants to leave the fight, he leaves the fight :D
  20. Class: Rogue/Ranger Gear: Eccea's Arcane Blaster pistol, Blackblade's Hood (+2 per +15 hit to crit), Bone Setter's Torc (+10 hit to crit) Main abilities: Driving Flight, Deathblows, Dirty Fighting, Uncanny Luck Result of a good crit: Result
  21. Well, what's the point of any weapon when a missile salvo can do 28-50*18 AoE corrosive damage or wilting wind can AoE hit 120-150 and weaken everyone? Even Tekehu is doing over 120 damage in a friendly AoE with ocean burst. Just grab 4 wizards and something to draw enemy attention for 5 seconds, give them all chain lightning and you are all set. You can't exactly compare the nuking power of a wizard to martial power of a wizard. It's not his role to begin with. That's not the point. Compared to the power levels of the existing unique weapons, summoned weapons are not leagues behind and utterly worthless. Plus, as a side bonus, you don't need to know exactly where the weapon to complete your build is to get a conjuring wizard rolling. That's the point.
  22. Have you seen what these spells bring to the table? Lvl 8 Blackbow for example lasts 67 seconds (int 15) with a cast time of 2.4 seconds (faster than 3.4 recovery time for actually shooting it with 15 dex), that terrifies enemies and has foe jump. Lvl 7 warding staff, last about 46 seconds and still has faster cast time than the recovery of an actual attack that pushes and hobbles enemies every hit. Lvl 5 spirit lance, lasts 42 seconds and is a piercing weapon that does addtional crushing damage AoE explosion (close to full damage) every hit. Lvl 3 blights, scepter level damage lasts 45 secs, cycling elemental damage in an AoE lvl 1 staff, 48 secs, faster again, drains 20% damage as health from what I can tell All of these scale up to legendary at lvl 19. The only one that doesn't do something useful is lvl 9 spell but even that lets you summon a legendary greatsword and legendary morningstar along with a legendary breastplate. Needs some type of effect to make things interesting for a Lvl 9 spell though. Maybe remove the armor action speed penalty as well. Considering how long fights last in this game, you will maybe go through 2 castings of weapon spells tops, not to mention again they can be cast faster than regular attacks once you pick up the feats for it. Besides, by the time they run out, half your protection spells will also have run out, so it's casting time regardless. This a pure mage we are talking about that can deal decent damage without any gear needed. If you think these are 6 spells of varying levels are taking too many ability points somehow, grab Katreen's spellbook which is a bounty reward you'll run into if you are doing bounties. Wanna switch things up, grab the 8k gold costing spellbook (vaporous wizardy) from Dark Cupboard (a store you'll most likely not miss early on) that gives +1 casts to all your spell levels. Apart from the level 9 one we are asking too much out of these spells in my opinion. And calling them 100% worthless? What you want them to one shot the entire encounter? Stun lock everyone?
