  1. Well isn't SoD basically a new D&D 2E game? It should be over 25 hours long which longer than many games released these days.
  2. That definitely looks very promising! Noticed this on NeoGAF forums btw. David Gaider joins Beamdog!
  3. When I loaded up my save (which I started with the original release of PoE back in March) I got the info screen about spell mastery. The problem is that when I choose those spells and finish the "leveling up" it actually kills the character in question. I've uploaded the save in question https://www.dropbox.com/s/79qs8o6t05qczr1/spellmasterykills.zip?dl=0
  4. I'll just answer #4. Yes, you can easily replace the BGEE cinematics with the original ones. I'd strongly recommend doing because not only are the Beamdog ones ugly as hell, they didn't even make them for like half of the original scenes. Also this new Matt Chat is worth watching to see Chris talk about SoD:
  5. I personally prefer the EE UI compared to the original. I don't know if people critizing it have actually tried the current version? It was pretty much completely re-done in one of the BGEE patches. Seems like they are doing some major changes to it again with SoD.
  6. I have much higher hopes for this than Sword Coast Legends at least.
  7. That's pretty impressive. I wonder if this game will completely bridge the gap to the point of explaining why we end up with Minsc, Jaheira, Khalid, and Dynaheir. Based on the stream I believe the answer is yes. They didn't confirm it outright, but kinda hinted at it when someone asked if you would be able to finish with same party you started SoD with.
  8. Try this time next year, and even that is not guaranteed. They will keep patching it as long they are making expansions at least and we know at least 2 are coming, and not even the first is out yet obviously.
  9. Seems like they are saving the 3rd new companion for WM part 2. It's also seems pretty obvious that she/he will be a barbarian considering that after DoC, and Zahua, there is a companion for every other class.
  10. I hope it is mostly dungeon crawling. Endless Paths was probably the most fun part of PoE for me.
  11. Where did you get that? The game makes save just before you enter the point of no return. You can use that save and take your party to the new exp areas.
  12. My guess is that they will offer the option to buy the parts seperately for 15 euros, or the whole expansion for 25.
  13. Of course, these aren't realistic assumptions. But it's not as if they're just starting out. They already worked on it during the main production. Otherwise it wouldn't be possible to release them within this year. It's also what I read in some online interviews. Of course what you say is true, but those numbers are still way too high. As you say the only way they are able to release anything this year is thanks to having well oiled production lines in place already.
  14. Its one xpack in two parts. I'm expecting 6 to 10 hours per part. Source? Because if that would be true, that'd be really goddamn sad. I would absolutely expect 20-40 hours per expansion pack. 40 sounds a bit much, yes, but I'm referencing it as thresholds. Minimum 20, maximum 40. Anything less than 20 would be unacceptable for a real expansion pack, and anything above 40 would just be ridiculously unreasonable to expect. Those are just freaking ridiculous expectations. It took them 2.5 years to make 40-60 hour game and now you expect them to make 20-40 hours expansions in few months. Prepare to be disappointed I guess.
  15. DA:O combat for me was simply boring as hell. Though I'm not sure if that was mainly because of the combat itself, or because how poor the encounter/dungeon design was. So yeah, wasn't a hard to thing to beat.
  16. Not on my peecee, no. Haha. And that's why I'll be getting it on the ps4 and hoping for good graphics. Same. Keeping my PC upgraded for all the new games is too much trouble for me these days. Rather just play it on console instead.
  17. So after you talk to Old Nua Kana gets a speech bubble about him. Well I talked to him before fighting the MB. Going through my companions to see if they got anything new to say I noticed that every time I try to talk to Kana he repeats the Old Nua convo first. Save attached: https://www.dropbox.com/s/qwxr2rfjz97yvpm/kanaoldnua.rar?dl=0
  18. You seem to be unable to right click this item to get the full item description. Also another weird thing is that if you try right clicking on it forces the game to pause. I've attached my save and Vierina's Leaves can be found in Aloth's inventory. https://www.dropbox.com/s/ep8z4y1583mfolo/vieranasleaves.rar?dl=0
  19. W8 is definitely one of the classics! Slowing playing through Wizardry 7 atm with plan of eventually playing W8 with imported save for the first time.
  20. Basically what happens is that if you stop one of your party members near the stronghold hirelings it will start a melee engagement. Then when you order your party to move again, the hirelings will get a disengagement attack and all hell breaks loose. Added my save and couple screenshots to demostrate the problem: https://www.dropbox.com/s/lvi3lyv3p7q15ov/hirelings.rar?dl=0
  21. Here's the thing it's kinda an illusion that pre-buffing makes you party stronger. What I mean is that if a game allows you to pre-buff the encounters are also going to be designed with that in mind. Also pre-buffing especially in late BG2+ToB took ages, and simply wasn't even a tiny bit fun for me at least.
  22. There is abandoned red circle just chilling there, without even a description, on the 3rd lvl of the Endless Paths. Check attached save game for more details. https://www.dropbox.com/s/koxaw02jfg7b3cz/18f629d2cf1440dd8a169ba9c02ac72a%2011701757%20EndlessPathsofOdNuaLevel3.savegame?dl=0
  23. Just going to say that some people screaming and shouting here doesn't mean that all of us act like that. You guys created a new RPG that can stand proudly next to the RPG classics of old, and I definitely appreciate that a lot! Also can't wait what improvements the coming year will bring in form of patches and new expansion(s).
  24. Pretty sure they've already said that your first two wishes at least are going to happen.
  25. I kinda agree. For my party the problem seems to mainly stem from Eder. He is almost indestructible already at lvl 8 with gear and talents I've given him. His unbuffed defensive are deflection 117, fortitude 99, reflex 97, and will 91, and even without buffs he has talents/gear that raise those stats even further in certain situations. I don't even remember when he has last got by a melee attack, spells can occasionally hit him but I'm pretty sure he could already solo most things PoE could throw at him. I haven't finished EP, or the optional bounty bosses, etc. but surely even the every day quest content should pose some kind of threat at hard difficulty?
