The great Trump thread (it's gonna be tremendous)
redneckdevil replied to Ben No.3's topic in Way Off-Topic
Another day of peeking into politics thread and laughing and feeling better now then before.....time to go before it spoils -
Yes story mode severely limits the mobs and I think lowers the stats on them as well. The last one I'm not 100% sure, I do know there's a lot less trash though. Also replaying thru on normal and it seems there's less trash in quite a few places as well since the last time I played. Could be my imagination though

lol I miss them. Wonder where they got off to

Yeah, I remember a while back one poster constantly was pissed because the chick in fair looked like a man and was going on about all types of stuff about how bioware either hates straight males. Surprised haven't seen them say something yet lol

Still on pillars. Hooked a friend and his wife on the game.

Refugees aren't never illegal, because to be refugee you need to be legally recognized as such, but asylum seekers are technically illegal until they get refugee status, residence permit for some other reason or are deported. But situation isn't all that simple because people may also have residence permit in another EU country which may or may not allow them to travel to other EU countries and if their permit don't allow them to travel they aren't counted as illegal immigrants put people that break their residence permit in another EU country and they should be returned there. Ty for the answer. Damn that sounds a bit complicated

I think the difference is that chilloutman said with the "possibility" of death while Elerond statement seems to imply they "will" die. Ones a it might happen and one is will happen. Also are refugees in Germany "illegal" or just a legal immigrant?

Was really enjoying a modded fallout 3 playthru and showed a friend pillars of eternity. Was stoned and explaining and created a barbarian named Don Micheal Corleone...haven't stopped playing since

Romance
redneckdevil replied to Skyleaf's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Obsidian hasn't ever been against "all" romances, hell pillars 1 had a good love/romance story between "spoilers" and the bbeg. I think they do decent romances between npcs and that's because it's limited to just them. TBH I think the main reason is that if they did, they would HAVE to go the bioware route or have a massive sjw backlash. Hell look at what went down with a limerick from a backer in the first game. So if they do romance, imho it's a situation where they are ****ed either way in how they did it. They don't do romance, they aren't ****ed in that area. -
When Piers Morgan is the voice of reason....
redneckdevil replied to Valsuelm's topic in Way Off-Topic
Spike* not rate. Murder rate is getting a lot better and no where near as high as it used to be but the increase that year has been at the highest. TBH I find the spike is important but only if it continues to go up, otherwise it's forgettable next year if we still continuing to doing a helluva lot better than we have been. -
I fully agree the media should be an adversary of the government when it does wrong, the media should be all over it. The problem is with media they get extra previleges for that free speech, because they are supposed to tell the truth. Free speech doesn't cover lying. The recklessness comes from instead of focusing on the truth without biasness, media is now a "chose ur own adventure" (words from a dude at CNN) in which u hear/find out about events but how it happens depends on which site u go to. U want news of what happened but in a good light of such and such, u go here and u can find out all about what happened and how it was a great thing. U want news of what happened but in a bad light of such and such, u go here and u can find out all about what happened and how terrible and horrendous it was. Of the same event. Twisting the truth to push a narrative. It's not getting to outright lying (if u believe that) but the embellishing and the knowingly absence is skirting the edge pretty damn close. Obama stated that there is a problem with information with the media and that something should be changed with them. That was someone they loved, now they going bigger and badder on Trump. Problem is they doing when he is doing something horrible or controversial but also they doing it the damn man sneezes, there's something bad that went on.

But Trump constantly insults the media and makes it personal, naturally that is going to increase the whole " us VS them " view some in the media feel A free media is a cornerstone of freedom of speech, when you call the media " the opposition " or " fake news " for many people you are actually attacking the principle of free speech So Trump plays a big part in this negative perspective the media have towards him Media fired first and hasn't stopped. Why place blame on him when he is firing back? Media has been firing since the election.Unfortuantly the media has shown that it hasn't learned its lesson and from the get go Trump has made it clear his personality, those 2 prideful bastards will keep going on until one is dead. Media can lay off the blantant pushing of their view that they want u to believe is true. Trump can stop being so triggered and quit giving them a lot of ammo. Does it not concern you that any president is this openly hostile to the media which as I mentioned are an extension to the principle of free speech? Ive said before Trump was even elected that I'm concerned with the media's antics and if continued I'm worried about them losing rights because of their own reckless biased actions. Trump's hostility towards the press I see as cause and effect. Freedom of speech is VERY important BUT if the media continues this way (akin to someone who has a gun and starts brandishing it in a reckless fashion and is taking shots in the air around civilians) I very well do see restrictions being placed on THE media because of their own actions. Here in America we strongly believe in the 2nd amendment, but because of recklessness and inoppribriate behavior, we have seen restrictions start on it. The media right now is on the verge of having that placed upon them. So it's the media I'm more worried about because of biasedness and "sensationalist" (view point more important than what actually happens) is giving govt and the population reason to start tightening up and start restricting them. I don't want that but at the same time, they are shooting themselves in the foot (fox, CNN, msm, etc) and once they cross that line (Trump may very well be that line), unfortuantly there's no going back. So yes I'm worried about Trump but in a way that he is the effect and the media is the cause. Look at how the media was with Obama, one side he could do no wrong when he messed up and one side had him painted as doing wrong when he had done good or nothing at all. Tldr-the media needs to shape up or else since they can't handle the free speech responsibly for their position, will find it lost and while we may all mourn, ultimately it will be because of their own undoing. Of course imho.

Yes but its illegal to not wear a headscarf according to the article? The Swedish government surely cant break Iranian law My bad, Iran it is illegal. Kinda weird that a pronounced feminist government would go there and be subjected to that law instead of asking to meet elsewhere. Doesn't show a good vibe of how strong the feminist part is for media. TBH don't really care, It's nice to see a controversial topic and not get blown outta the water. Here something of this nature would cause the media to have a heart attack

I actually disagree, we don't need a new liberal party. We need both party's to put on their big boy pants and start working together and agree to disagree. Stop seeing each other as enemies because they have a difference in opinion and come to a compromise. We need a good balance of both parties, not an all or nothing of each.

I agree with the general view we need more women in government and making decisions Lets be honest, men have been in charge for thousands of years. We have seen progress and we have seen decline yet the countries in the world that are the most benighted and dysfunctional also have no interests in equality or human rights and womens rights are normally absent So yes lets get more women into government and management. This doesn't mean we get ride of men but its needs to be more balanced I agree with you, except for one thing. The balance. I say **** balance, lets get the ones who have earned the spot. Period. The end. Sounds good, although I am a bit worried because most of the women I know work way harder than me. Lol time to (wo)MAN up then!
