  1. @Haerski I completely agree with you. At first i joined the OO. Then seeing how some took it a bit too seriously and were getting out of their heads. I lowered my pledge and asked to be removed. I am an admin in several forums and having a secluded group in a international opened forum is really something that only bring issues. The community acting as one is a good thing but in the end it always turn the same way. They end up secluding themselves, arrogant and rejecting others (newcomers). It also give an ominous ambiance for newcomers (like they can't be part of it or will be treat differently because they aren't in it). I am not especially targeting OO or some members, just speaking on my experience as an administrator. OO was a good initiative but it will probably be the cause of people leaving the forum in the months/years during PE development.
  2. I'd like to replay this game one day..(i sold it..and regret doing so..). One of the few game i will probably bought two times (I bought BG saga like 3 or 4 times as Fallout 2 and one but they are exception). I remember well playing..and finishing it and my ending really surprised me. As i had made choice like i would do if i were in the same situation and at the end of the game i had killed everyone lol (i thought that maybe i was a psycho at that time ).
  3. Actually thinking a bit more on the subject that could lead in a good quest. After having your stronghold, your land (town) is getting intensively attacked and it is suspicious because it seems there is a leak from the inside (since they seemed really well informed on the stronghold weakness. It could lead to find your traitor among your rank (companions). But on a more wide case. i think NPC should and *must* have their own motivations not only "react" to your character on how he is acting and their vision on his actions. I do hope it won't be a system like DA: Origins where offering gift could make up for everything (stupid idea).
  4. For years..i've been wanting a gold digger kind of rogue that would try to sell you off (you and your equipement) several times in the game lol. Picking your equipement and report you to the authorities while you sleep in the tavern . I see it as a good comic relief.
  5. I actually sent a Private message to Josh Sawyer on the same concern that the OP. Never had a reply. But i do hope they'll have more background than being "tree-lovers". Actually i would like them to be badly seen on a ethic sense in PE. Shaping yourself as an animal would be seen as a corrupted act ; a distorsion of the soul. They could also be a sort of necromancer studying the cycle of life and death. They could aslo be hunted down for it like were witches in ancient time.

  7. I hope Obsidian won't make that mistake. I don't think people want a Sim's game. Eck, i almost find sometimes romance being an hinderance to the story (well not correctly handled). Let's focus on deep character with a lot of background and forget those kind of thought.
  8. I hope she is romanceable, i have craved for a dwarf romance for years..even if i would have prefer to romance, Korgan XD
  9. One update every two weeks is fine for me (updating is a lot of work, plus you have to let the guys actually work on the game...)
  10. Well, my payment is due . I hope to get news of you soon. So, i can specify which addons i want and i also hope you guys will make regular update (monthly (especially the one with Chris playing Arcanum XD)).
  11. I don't really care for the number of companions. But, what i really do care is that i hope Obsidian will introduce One Cipher companion and One Chanter companion. So, we get more depth/understanding and knowledge of these classes.
  12. Clearly, i mean having in on the team is like having twice the depth in the background/lore design/companions that it was at first. Well, dlux. Seeing those kind of comment/topic, make me feared they make a wrong move by putting him after the paladins/chanters stretch goal..! You can see that some like the OP, obviously don't know the guy (shame on you ! Boo is Booing you !) and would sincerely think that it is too much of a goal for one guy
  13. I hardly come to this forum now (more wandering in the comment section) But i want to respond to this (thanks to trister for the link). But as i like Ziets and want him in. I think he should have been put before the Paladin and chanters stretch goal. I'd rather have more story/depth and another writer/designer creative person. Than 2 more classes. Not that i don't want Chanters (i especially forgot the other class ) But adding others classes seems a minor stretch goal for me when we already have 9. While having Ziets is a real real addition.
  14. Well, if we reach 3m$, which isn't an easy feat..(i don't think we'll make it). But, well, i think i am gonna leave the forum for a while every time i proposed something i have the bad impression of being rebuked (i am not an english native speaker so, i can't talk and talk a lot about my thought..and desire from this game, and if i continue wandering here, i have the impression i'll end up giving up on my pledge.)
  15. Well, hiro, i am just trying to put myself in other shoes. personally i am quite enjoyed by this tier lol (i didn't have wasteland 2 + no shipping (and wait) + Expansion). I couldn't be more happy ^^
  16. The thing is from someone at 110$ or at 140$ it's a bit unfair. When you're at 140 you're upping your pledge but lose the collector box and when you're at 110$ it makes you 55$ to put for the same thing with wasteland 2 (which is at 20$ pre-order and an expansion). This offer is good only for people like me (who were at 140+shipping which means 160 already). I don't know guys, you should really consider putting another tier between 110$ and 140$ with the expansion but without wasteland 2!
  17. Yes, the 'familiars' in BG2 were not very useful in battle... But some of them made for really nice scouts, due to high stealth proficiency and good magic/elemental resistance. Anyways, the PE pet will only be cosmetic, so I guess it won't even have that. Ouch, i didn't understand that. Thanks for this clarification. I thought it was more of a familiar than a cosmetic pet..well, i don't really see the use then.. Btw, i thought of something really stupid (which comes often with me ). But in the mega-dungeon it seems we are going underground. I would really laugh my ass hard if at the point we encounter a giant ant and and when we met her the character says "that's a freaking huge ant" (like in fallout xD). Saying that Obisidian i do hope you guys are putting us inside joke reference to your previous work in PE (epicness of Monty Python in fallout ^^) I also wonder if we will have a lantern in the dungeon..i've liked the concept in Dragon Dogma (if some have played it with the lantern in dungeon).
  18. I do remember the pet in BG..(not the summoning the one you had in the bag). they were close to useless..and on NWN it was too weak..I am hoping for a pet that will bring you a passive buff, like HP buff/trap detection (for a mouse for example.. ) by its presence etc.
  19. Actually after a bit of thinking..why not a class called the juggler (escamoteur in french). Some sort of thief/illusionist with a strong link to soul and good with guns (some sort of gypsy connected character). (I'd rather see original class from now on..) plus such class is more oriented to a fantasy world.
  20. That's when we should ask the marshmallow gelatinous cube as a pet (we'll probably end up with the wolf/fox/hawk/bat anyway..)
