  1. I always thought that Oby was a terminator, or some other sort of android.
  2. @Flintlock IIRC, while the bonus is helpful, you should be able to take "traditional" Rogue skills with any class and be competent enough. I would agree that the PE Rogue description more accurately describes Assassin, and frankly think the idea of pigeon-holing classes into roles is bad. However, if they manage to accomplish allowing classes to fill other roles than they are designed to be "role-ready" for, I will be happy. While I have no real problem with an Assassin trained to exploit weak points dealing the highest damage, the idea that a warrior class(Fighter, Paladin, Ranger, Barbarian) can't at least be competitive(reach around 90%) would be pretty bad, IMO.
  3. I wouldn't consider tossing them like rag-dolls help.
  4. I'm feeling sick right now. Had to bail from lecture to produce highly acidic vomit with a hint of bile. Going to take it easy tonight.
  5. Chicken broth with green onion, the best thing to eat when you feel like ****.
  6. But, why would you not want booze and firearms?
  7. Are you just trying to find an excuse for your wife to go around bra-less?
  8. Lephys, if that is what you consider "a bit", I would hate to see you digress "some" or even "a lot". Back on-topic: I want Epic levels in either the expansion(depends on scope) or the second game(if importing the character is an option). I want Epic levels to feel powerful and be well-designed, and actually give characters class abilities other than "EPIC BONUS FEAT!!!!!". I want Epic levels to be well-integrated into the lore and not contradict things by flooding the game with level 20 foot soldiers. Most importantly, I want Epic levels to be fun and challenging, no bashing away at enemies for hours or effortless conflicts. I also want reaction to power-level and renown, so random fighters wouldn't challenge William the Valiant, slayer of Demon Princes, Demi-Gods, and the occasional wolf.
  9. Took an exam, got a ticket in a speed trap, going to have a few drinks and play videogames to relax.
  10. I voted for Obama because I bet $30 he would win the general election and the electoral college.
  11. well got bit to do wit it i say like the same people who make PE made BG 1 and 2 and its same way of making a world inside a computer This makes no sense.
  12. Hairy arms. Man? We should get back to more pleasant territory.
  13. Always seem to have a vibe of 'they must declare their loyalty loudly, lest they attract suspicion' when there's a call for people in the same group as some other people to speak out. Sensible ones just need to rat out ones tending to extremism. But what if they don't know anyone trending towards extremism? Muslims living in (insert Western nation) may not actually know anyone who is planning to blow something up.
  14. Why should anyone be required to speak out against terrorism? Almost every time this topic comes up, the inevitable "moderate Muslims need to speak out against this" comment is made. Do we need college students to speak out every time some deranged twit goes on a rampage? Should all Catholics of Irish decent have had to apologize every time the NRA blew something up? Why the hell should someone who did not do the act of terrorism be required to apologize and/or condemn the acts of another publicly? Do you people think the extremists really give a **** whether or not these people wag their finger and call them ****? It must bother them quite a bit. Because even when a little girl did it, they freaked out. And they tried to blow her up. A condemnation won't stop someone who has already decided that terror is the way to go from performing acts of terrorism.
  15. I am now picturing Obsidian employees fleeing from small change being thrown at them by hordes of fans.

  17. Today I drank whiskey, played video games, and studied for an exam. As I am unfamiliar with how many digits are in a Danish phone number, I will admit that I am lost.
  18. I think that this depends on the setting. It makes sense to have a more vulnerable high-level PC in NV, but I don't think that means it makes sense to have a vulnerable PC in every setting. An archmage could very easily ignore most lesser enemies, because between the vast amount of magic power he commands and his magical artifacts, it would take much more than brigands armed with plain steel to harm him, let alone kill him. In terms of Epic levels, situations where the Epic PC would be challenged by low-level(1-10) enemies should be very few or non-existent. It would be much better to have battles be of epic proportions against very powerful creatures rather than hordes of mooks that could be devastated with minimal effort. MotB would have been a much more satisfying experience if 90% of the mooks were cut and more difficult foes(like the Lich in Myrkul's temple or the Paragon Beast of Malar) were utilized more often.
