DS9 is the most consistently good Trek, but Voyager had some neurotic writing and just ends up mediocre. That said TNG has a really boring start and Wesley so uhhh yeah. Though it will never not be funny to me how Geordi had less romantic relationships than an emotionless robot.

Violet Evergarden Special: The gang goes to the opera. Pretty good, I liked the library scenes and the way it showed Violet trying to research how to write the right love letter. It didn't blow me away though and I think it could have passed for a regular episode and fooled everyone.

I am torn between watching this show or not.

I laughed loudly when the Princess asks Violet to be more expressive. So far the animation hasn't made me want to kill myself, so I guess that's a plus. ....have you met Death 13 yet?

Violet Evergarden 3-5 Violet learns more about emotions by going to school, partying with a co-worker, and helping a princess. I think the one-off characters are well developed, often more than much of Violet's co-workers at Lt. Col DIO's postal company. It makes sense given the premise of the show and isn't a bad thing, but right now I feel like I know less about that blonde dude who delivers letters than I do Violet's friend from school whose brother is a drunk. Overall it's been good to watch and I'd recommend it if you're looking for an anime that isn't about fighting and can deal with a very alienated teenage girl stumble through social interactions.

I'm pretty sure that they did some calculations and found that if their voters kept dying they'd lose a few elections, so they flipped overnight. That or business groups leaning on them to get people back to work. In either case I don't think it's going to work because opposition to vaccines has become so entrenched and widespread thanks to certain media spheres. I think there's a certain comedy to people who thought covid wasn't real dying because they refused a free vaccine out of fear it would microchip them so Bill Gates could assume direct control.

When I tried fasting I was just way too hungry and would eat more at lunch than when I didn't. Gained some pounds doing that and was less happy. These days I like to have some protein for breakfast either an hour after waking up or after some exercise. It works well enough I guess. I'm also going job hunting soon. I'm getting paid well enough but the hours and the work itself are exhausting and after over a year of trying to take covid precautions only to have maskless dip****s breathe less than a foot away from me because "covid's not real/a big deal" I'm just done.
