  1. @Bartimaeus Good luck, 1.11 is probably the closest to the anime and will feel like rewatching the first few episodes. It really goes off the rails in 2.22, even though a lot of story beats are still retained. All things considered, you'll probably end up screaming like Joesph somewhere in the middle of that.
  2. I did it, I finished Evangelion 3.0+1.01 Thrice Upon a Time. That sure was something, and I'll probably end up posting more after I've had some time to think. But coming right out of it, I enjoyed it and think it works as an ending.
  3. Nah, most incredibly obvious twists I pick up on right away and they live in my head until I'm done with the show.
  4. I'm going to watch it tonight. I almost watched it this morning but when I saw it was 2.5 hours long and the time was 1230, I decided sleep was necessary.
  5. So far it's very recognizably Evangelion both in terms of style and tone. I'll have to sit through a long ass movie before I can give a final verdict, because if there is one thing quintessentially Evangelion, it is having a very bizarre and polarizing ending.
  6. Well so far if you managed to watch Evangelion TOS and End of Evangelion I don't think you'd have any trouble with the content. Like there is some stuff that can be read as more explicitly sexual/romantic but with few exceptions it's not stuff that wasn't already there and the main antagonist of the series is less ambiguous than in the anime, but if you've already seen the anime you know he is the bad guy. At the end of the day it's still about depressed teenagers fighting monsters in robots while some absolutely weird **** goes down. If anything would turn you off it's the cgi, which isn't great at all but I was able to get through it so far. 3.0+1.01 (which is 2.5 hours) could completely change this though, so if I come back even crazier than before you can rest assured Rebuild will drive you to madness. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
  7. Honestly that depends on 3.0+1.01. Starting with 2.22 they diverge heavily from the anime and End of Evangelion. If it turns out to be awful then I wouldn't want to subject majestic to 8 hours of it, if it's good then yeah I'd recommend it.
  8. Rebuild of Evangelion 2.22 and 3.33 Well that was different and yet the same. I'm going to sleep on it and probably watch 3.0 + 1.01 tomorrow.
  9. I'm not gonna let my dreams be dreams anymore! Does he turn her into BRACK MIYU?
  10. Evangelion 1.11 Pretty much the first few episodes before Asuka shows up, of all of the rebuild films this one is probably the easiest to skip without missing anything. Watching 2.22 shortly, maybe I'll just binge Evangelion today and come out with my sanity shattered. Tuxedo Kamen on the plane.
  11. I suppose I should rephrase it as I can't imagine a dish being improved by removing the cheese, but admittedly I have no issues with cheese and have a special fondness for mac and cheese or similar baked dishes. For me, bechamel just comes up short if compared. Bolognese can be surprising, especially if potential eaters believe pasta sauces begin and end with marinara and alfredo. But for my money the most surprising is spaghetti carbonara just being eggs, cheese, and bacon (maybe cooked with garlic) with no dairy besides the cheese. Now I want some heavy pasta dishes. This thread is really a bad influence.

  13. https://www.theguardian.com/society/2021/aug/12/housing-renter-affordable-data-map This will have no long-term consequences at all.
  14. A blood sucking vampire queen riding in a dinosaur shaped blimp would be a great show.
  15. I don't need context, the dinosaur blimp and Oh My God! is funny regardless.
  16. Well ****, I'm torn between wanting to relentlessly mock Carlgon and pretending he doesn't exist. These days I keep my drinking to the weekend and usually don't have more than two a night. I give off the impression that I drink much more than I do. Joesph and Avdol on the fence. The hag, her umbrella striking. Mariah, her chest swelling, her screws loose.
  17. I haven't watched any Lindsay Ellis video, but Corona is awful by any standard and I'm not sure if you're talking about the historical figure or the failed media personality.
  18. I guess I just got kicked out of instrumentality.
  19. I can't imagine a milk sauce without cheese would be good.
  20. It's the 3.0+1.0 entry.
  21. You've convinced me to watch it. Congratulations.
  22. Yeah, like for starters it's illegal to sleep in your car in a lot of places. If the movie didn't feature her getting harassed by the popo then it isn't realistic.
