She also wasn't a character from the book, so she never sat well with quite a few fans. Everyone understood that things from the book would need to be cut, but replacing then adding a new, made up character didn't sit well with everyone. My reaction to her death scene was "Oh, another Ros scene, whatever."

Saints Row: The Third free weekend...

Remove your credit card from Steam. Not just not to bankrupt yourself, but because it is safer, not to store your credit information online. The tiny inconvenience of typing your card number is worth not freaking out as much when an online store gets hacked

Always a shame when a project comes to an end.

Is that Matt Miller marching alongside the Saints at 0:46 ?

They partnered with Steam. Probably all you have on the disc is a fancy way of asking your steam client to download the game.

A patch would be nioce, but it's not that bad. At least for me I have the one bug where my Scouting stat is miscalculated, but as my scouts are both veterans with max Patroling, it hasn't affected me all that much.- 54 replies

*shrug* I try to write children's books. If the story can't be told in ten pages with large fonts (excluding illustrations), then its already too long.

I don't get this, isn't it actually better this way? Watched the video, it has a fairly high absurd quota and Anfossi especially seems to be just phoning it in. Still, better this than a rushed sequel to dxhr, I guess. In hindsight, itwouldn't make sense for them to have thief and deus ex come out in close proximity, just like dragon age and mass effect were better for he studio with a more even spread. iPad is a platform I will deffinitly never play the game. So if that builds on the novel and I end up liking the novel I'll always feel that I am missing something

edit: (why do I always end up doing this?)
-
Damn. Couldn't they have announced it before I bought the novel a week ago?

Still playing this. Taking it slow in-game, exploring and trying to find all the different things to do. My troop has grown to 16 people and one is waiting as backup. I was rather surprised to find romance options in the game.- 54 replies

It still does I think, but its more complicated than just hosting on an image-hosting site and linking.

And it wont get close. Possibly the weakest of the books. Not that A Dance With Dragons is all that great, but at least it has its moments.

Didn't they do something like that in the London Docklands? And when it is wierd ass external, then the bubblewrap thing in B'ham is all there...

Though the devs did show that they can take feedback to heart. That you could stealth the Missing Link boss was awesome. And it was still challenging, not simply an "I win" button.

I played a paladin first tim an had no problem. I felt that changing Khelgar to monk was a silly thing to do. I think that is when Casavir replaced him in my party. (why do I remember names?) My playstyle though always has been a couple of strong melees to keep the enemy occupied, a rogue to stab them (the enemy) in the back and spellcasters as support. So two paladins a rogue and a druid worked great for me.

Oh, you just had to go and ask the difficult questions... But even if they just hire on as guards at a mine or some harsh prison camp, as long as they have a reason to be there, you can come up with things happening.

A small frontier settlement in northern Kislev is just the thing. It's small enough to give every npc a name and personality. The chaos wastes spit out diverse enough creatures to keep things interesting and the diverse, corrupting nature of chaos can cause other things to happen. Or: if it worked for the hero Konrad, it can work for the PCs

I was very unhappy with how they portrayed her in the show. From the daughter of a Lannister bannerman to an exotic, mysterious Valyrian (is everyone in this bloody series some exotic stranger? Shae, Rob's wife... its a wonder they left Ygritte a northerner). When she got pregnant I asked friends how the hell she could now survive, as Tywin would never let an heir to Robb Stark be born. They fixed that by killing her I guess, when in the books she is quite healthy. Seemed all a bit pointless to me. Then again they killed Xaro Xhoan Daxos last season and had Dany betrayed by one of her handmaidens *shrug*

Bronn sings it in Season 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mIUyVeDsHfs Though I found the version by The National in the end credits of that episode captured the haunting feeling rather well: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ey9vSYxuAJk I think if they had wanted to, they could have handled it quite well. They introduced the song quite well back in Season 2. If they had continued using it, or had already used it sneakily before to underline Lannister actions, then it would have worked for this scene. But I got the feeling that they don't have much of a plan for the show, taking it one season at a time. And I got a strong feeling that they had only read the original book when they started the show.

Those look very well made. Far from the cheap movie merchandise one usually sees.
