  1. Don't know whether Thiaf will have good AI; the murder simulator, QTEs, departure from the series' ethos and everything else seem to be pretty locked in though. And the only theft will be optional ?
  2. You should have read the fine print: Tomb Raider1 1 product may not include tombs, raiders, raiding or any combination thereof. If included, any interaction with tombs, be it in the form of raiding or other and/or in the capacity as a raider or other, will be purely optional and at the discretion of the player. Square Enix, Eidos, their affiliates and employees are not responsible for the inclusion in and/or exclusion of tombs, raiders and raiding in regards to the content of the franchise Tomb Raider. 3. I won't. Then people on Steam would see me purchasing a Bioware game. What would that do to my reputation?
  4. Steam Flash Sale for another 5 hours.
  5. It's the best of the full novel length Gotrek and Felix novels. Demonslayer is fun as well, but fromt here on it goes downhill. The original concept of Gotrek and Felix just fit the short story format better. One or two novels it could still last, but after that it loses its charm. Personally I just finished the Windup Girl. Good book. I think the link to my opinion on it is here (if I got the right link)
  6. I play the PC version. The recruit thingie is that you follow a referal link to make your trion account. But its broken anyway, so the referals dont count
  7. Seeing how 4 takes place in virtual reality, Gat can show up and still be dead.
  8. And you didn't sign up as my recruit, right? NOOOOOOOOOO! Hope you enjoy it
  9. My favorite 4X. That's a fact, look it up. Anyone have a spare Football Manager or Chivalry card to trade? I've got doubles of just about everything else. I got a Chivalry I think.
  10. Looking at IMDB, Diane Michelle has done a lot of Daisy Duck and some not too important npcs in various meh games like Mass Effect or Skyrim ( ) Sumalee Montano you have also encountered before. I quote from wookiepedia: "(...) she aspired to become a full-fledged Sith student at the prestigious Korriban Academy. This goal was finally within her grasp when, shortly after harassing a newcomer to the Dreshdae colony, she became one of a small group of hopefuls selected to compete for the opportunity to undertake the “final test” that stood between prospective and true Sith students. To her surprise, the stranger she had encountered earlier was among that group (...) (she) died at the hands of Revan in the Valley of the Dark Lords." And: " (she) was a Human Jedi Knight on Dantooine during the Jedi Civil War, who was furthering her training under the renowned Master Zhar Lestin. She was close friends with the then-Padawan Juhani during her training there as well. (...) she felt the strength of the Force within (Revan) and stopped him on his way to talk to the Council. She berated him for not wearing proper robes, under the assumption he was actually a Padawan." Also: "When (she) saw Shen come out of the estate, she ran to him and held him in a fierce embrace. (they) both thanked Revan for all he had done. Before they could leave, Ahlan came up to them with two assault droids flanking him. He soon began to shout obscenities at Revan, Shen, and (her). Soon after, Nurik came out of his estate with his own two battle droids."
  11. I never really got into it much, only dabbled. It seems to be a great game. I haven't read anything bad about it really. At the time it was a bit too complicated for me - you know how that is though: state of mind etc can grreatly affect how you play and giving the same game a chance a few months later could result ina completly different experience. The little I saw though was quite positive. I really enjoyed the space stations you could construct to spread your influence.
  12. I wonder in what order they are sending them out. Some kickstarters send things out in order of backer tiers. Obviously this is not the case here.
  13. I will be on holliday around launch anyway, so don't care when I get the mail
  14. I think I'll pass on the rest of the sale. I have such a backlog, I wont have time to even consider playing anything I'd buy now till next year anyway.
  15. I don't understand what the reason is behind a limited number of backpack upgrades. It isn't realism - that word does not even belong in the same sentence as this game.
  16. If you have to write a five thousand word character background it takes longer thana day anyway. Or a ten thousand word character background...
  17. All you have to do is add someone on steam to your friends list like say this guy. You can then right click on their name in the friends list and select "invite to trade". A new window will pop up for the trade itself. From there it's just drag and drop the items you want to trade. Send you an invite as well.
  18. That is the worst fight in Conquistador by the way.
  19. I remember my trip to Cornwall quite fondly. And not because Noel had a cold and was experimenting with turning snot into superglue by shoving used tissues against walls and willing them not to drop to the ground (the tissues; he'd probably have enjoyed the walls dropping at a mere shove. Not that that would have been impossible, but it is a different story and involves the deplorable construction of housing in Birmingham and a different cast of characters). Strolling through St Ives on a remarkably sunny, though windy, spring day (and - as a side note to a certain other thread about Wals' shorts - rather warm day for England (I don't think Scotland ever has warm days)), it did strike me as a retreat for the rather well situated. Of course you wouldn't expect to be sold the Big Issue inside the Tate regardless of the region.
  20. Decided to make a character on the Defiance US server so I can say hello to friends there. Realised that I only have until Wednsday to finish all the limited time content on that character, since on Thursday I'll be off on vacation and not gaming until second week of August. So now I'm trying to race to Ego Rank 500 to be able to finish the last of those pursuits. After two days I am at rank 359. Will try to get close to a hundred ranks tonight.
  21. I sell my spares and use the money I make that way to buy the ones for the sets of the games I actually enjoy. No way I'd spend any extra cash on it though.
  22. Yes they do. And they spend cash on them...
  23. Without having played the game I find it hard to decide. just because of popularity I wouldn't be surprised if someone tried to makea d20 version. And it may actually work, seeing how PE will be a class based game. But something similar to Dark Heresy could also work. Personally I enjoy systems based on percentages, as those are the easiest for me to get my head around. And I enjoy a system to be supporting the game through existing in the background and not be the driving force of the game.
  24. Is that the logic by which, when we were younger, we'd play RPGs (Baldur's Gate comes to mind) for days with hardly any rest because our characters were doing all the resting already?
  25. @Gfted1 Be careful with the Amoeba, they are sneaky. They are aiming for a Wonder or Economic victory, so while you are happy about your large empire and progress, they set up good relations and then turn every planet to producing cash regarding your question: Answer! You need to do the relevant cultural research (research tree on the left) to unlock more diplomatic options. I think... It's tricky trying to balance your research. You need applied sciences to be able to use resources. You need exploration to be able to settle more planets, expand your empire and build larger ships. You need warfare to equip those ships and be less of an inviting target. And you need the cultural tree to keep your citizens happy, recruit more heroes and talk to aliens.
