  1. The first chapter went really well. So did most of the second. Then all of a sudden I'd get no blue gems 3 games in a row and stuff like that.
  2. I gave up on that. It's just too F2P... if they had just made a proper game I could buy, I'd do that. But having the AI be excessively lucky - gems cascading to 4 times in a row to 5-in-a-row so I get killed in one turn and have to spend real cash to heal my characters to play again? No thanks. When I get annoyed or frustrated I don't give people more money. My motivation doesn't work that way.
  3. After getting a refund on a kickstarter project (never thought I'd do that, but one of the people behind the project turned out to be a real prick), I decided that that money doesn't count towards my "no spending cash on games for a while (other than Age of Wonders 3)" decission, as it is money that had alreayd been spend. So I bought Dungeon of the Endless. That means I now have two coupons: Endless Space -50% DLC Endless Space: Disharmony DLC -50% It's a great 4X game if anyone wants the coupons.
  4. You grew breasts and used them to cuddle with a parrot?
  5. According to the latest update, Age of Wonders III will apparently be out end of March.
  6. Unwritten just had an update with the creator informing backers that he would be unable to finish the project after a year of health problems in the family.
  7. I was interested but the spaghetti arm just does not work for me aesthetically.
  8. I used to hang out on the Septerra Core forum back then. Fun little community and really nice Devs. I like the game, but dungeons could get too long.
  9. I'm on Serrano's friend list and play a few of those he listed... So: LIAR, LIAR, PANTS ON FIRE! Games on my list nobody on my friendlist owns (in brackets those I haven't actually gotten round to installing though) : 4 Elements A Walk in the Dark Aerena The Age of Decadence The Cat and the Coup (Chains) (Cities XL Platinum) Containment the Zombie Puzzler Dangerous High School Girls in Trouble Divinity Original Sin Beta (Enclave) (Eternity's Child) Fortix 2 Go Home Dinosaurs! Hamilton's Great Adventure Knock-Knock Legend of Fae (Lucidity) Our Darker Purpose Beta Pressure Puzzle Quest: Galactrix Race the Sun (RAW - Realms of Ancient War) Rocketbirds: Hardboiled Chicken Salvation Prophecy Sengoku Shad'O Silverfall (Silverfall: Earth Awakening) Space Ark Syder Arcade Thomas was Alone Tiny Troopers Toki Tori 2+ Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
  10. A friend was in the trading card beta early on and sold a foil for $20...
  11. I think the most I got for a card was $0.88. Should have sold some cards early on when they were still expensive but didn't and lost about $2 that way. *shrug* Still made well over a tenner. Got a number of cheap games through card money (usually when I got the coupon for them through crafting a badge). Level 24 right now but don't see 30 happening anytime soon. The real thing is getting lucky and getting some foil cards out of boosters. Those sell for a lot. Never got lucky myself. Only get boosters that aren't really worth selling and if I open them I get the same crappy card three times
  12. Click on a residence. The bar below the portrait. Dark green is the lowest tax rate. Red is the tax rate at which people may get up and leave. People need to be at the lowes tax rate to be able to upgrade. Trading depends on ships comming to your port and finding something on sale they'll like. Everybody buys fish, sand and other generic resources. If there are specific factions in the game, they'll buy more specific stuff that's worth more. I'm not sure if there are tricks to make a port more likely to attract ships.
  13. Wrong price on Tomb Raider. It was up for a minute or so at -120%. Already own it and didn't manage to grab it as a gift to see if I'd actually get paid by Steam before they corrected it
  14. Have you adjusted your tax rate? Set your warehouses to sell things?
  15. Civilization and Command & Conquer do not in the slightest compare to Anno - they are different kinds of games. It could compare to Sim City. Anno tries to be Anno... It is a very successfull franchise in the genre. But perhaps The Cave is more to your liking. Not everyone can like every game. I found it extremly shallow, rather badly made and in the end a waste of money.
  16. That's the whole problem. Food and drink production on that island basically stops when the eco-balance goes to -600 or something But if you managed to get round that, awesome.
  17. Hmm, usually the tanker that Strindberg attacks will leak oil, ruining production on your second island roughly at the same time that you get his useless base. And yes, the advise on the wikia is to sell everything in Strindberg's base.
  18. Not sure what you mean with trade routes that you don't have contact with. But yup, I knew you'd get annoyed in that mission When it isn't the black tide that totally ruins people's main island, it is taking over Strindberg's. Personally I took a loan from Rufus, then took a loan from Yana to cover the payments to Rufus... That said, you sure it is his island that causes you the trouble and not the black tide ruining your own production?
  19. rearranged my party a bit in Last Remnant and trid the Jhana Royals fight once more. It was close and at some point I got really lucky, but I beat it. Yay! I saved right before the fight and right after. The two save games are 38 minutes appart...
  20. Still on mission 2 of act 3? Has it made you hate the game yet?
  21. The campaign is a tutorial, so it may prevent you from doing things before it wants you to do them That said, even after the campaign, things are population locked. For example you can't build a coal mine until you have employees, even though as a tycoon, your coal power plant would benefit from them. So you'll have to make do with excavators until then. Got started on the second mission of Global Distrust myself. Nightmare event...
  22. What's the name of the boss (as long as it's non-spoiler-y)? Jhana Royals are an optional encounter that unlocks if you do certain guild stuff. Completly unrelated to story, so no spoilers.
  23. Accidentally ran into a special, extra, optional boss fight in The Last Remnant. I died. Twice. Well I actually died a lot of times, but most of them there were people still alive to resurrect the dead ones. Twice my party wiped. Damn AOE spam. I may have to return later.
  24. And I got jealous so started playing that again Reading about it here has caused me to redownload it again. Although I will say that I've started playing Blackguards, the early access, and have really enjoyed it so far. I'll probably run through Global distrust to get some Tycoon reputation. I'm maxed with the Eden Initiative, but still need the other two. So far I had only heard from people who didn't like Blackguard...
