Who came up with these long travel sequences? They are worse than Mass Effect elevators...- Battletech
Disappointed so far. Didn't expect too much from harebrained, but still realising I had hoped for more. Overlooking some performance issues, there is how tonnage only really functions as inventory space. Then that ejection is only a story thing. In the mech commander games if a pilot lost their cool, they'd eject. Here they are just a secondary health bar.- What are you playing right now?
I missed that, which bios did they write? Random mechwarrior hirees? Yeah, random mechwarriors will have a little K symbol next to their name.- Pictures of your Games Episode X - The Journey to Babel
That seems to be what people describe it as. Still early access. My first three attempts all ended up in defeat extremely early on.- Pictures of your Games Episode X - The Journey to Babel

A wasted opportunity for some risk/reward choices- Battletech
Does Tonnage affect the cost of my drop? It says the harder the mission the more tonnage I should bring, but is there an incentive to bring less? Do I want to drop in with just a couple of mechs so I earn more money? Or should I always drop in with all my acitves, so I can take out enemies faster and thus limit return fire?- The Great Game Giveaway: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Edition

I have only played the first couple of missions. But I already miss my Mech Commander 2 swarm of Swarm LRM Ants. Fire Ants with the flame throwers replaced with Swarm LRMs. Tiny, fast, and as they'd deploy in numbers, would often take out the opposition's legs in the opening salvo.- Chris Avellone: The Final Frontier
That isn't all that strange or unethical. You give finances and accounting to the person you trust with the money. And a lot of firms do this out of house. I have a close friend who is an accountant. He has his own little accounting firm and handles a number of big clients, including shipping companies and foreign investors. He doesn't "join" the company for the business. They hire his services. And if I had a larger business so would I, because he is the person I'd trust with such large sums: because he has a proven track record, but yes, also because we have been friends for 20 years. Would you employ that friend even if that friend is charging much more than another business which also has a good reputation on the market, but doing the work for e.g. 70% of the price? Because that would be pretty bad management. That was never something claimed in the Codex stuff linked. We have 0 information on how much was charged by the accountant and how much competitors would have. We have no actual information on how competent that person is. So your question is mood.- Chris Avellone: The Final Frontier

It is not a fun first person shooter- The Great Game Giveaway: It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas Edition

Thing is, he actually seems to be delivering. It is promising to be a good, deadly tactics game. He isn't pulling a Molyneux- Phoenix Point, the next game from X-COM creator Julian Gollop, now on Fig
Very different in a lot of things. 1) you don't have actions, but time units. So you can take baby steps and react as necessary. 2) ammo is limited. You end up scrounging the battle field for bullets. 3) Bullets each have their trajectory calculated, so in an assault rifle burst not all bullets will hit and not all will hit the same spot. And of course you can hit unintended things in the bullet's path (i.e. your squad mates) 4) Each soldier and each enemy have body parts with their own HP and Armour values. So you end up doing some Fallout3/4 vault tec assisted aiming. 5) Inventory management: you pick up loot, you drop loot, you change the weapons you are holding. Assault guy had an arm disabled and can't fire their rifle anymore as it needs two hands? The sniper can drop their pistol for them to pick up and at least shoot that. 6) Willpower is used for everything except basic actions. Kill stuff or rest to replenish willpower. Use it to trigger abilities. But by using it your soldiers' have less Willpower to resist that panic test when things go bad.- Pictures of your Games Episode X - The Journey to Babel

Tomorrow- Arcanum Sequel?
Real time you had to be a magic user Thrown Weapon Master. If you grabbed the chakrams that cast time stop on hit you could kill everything: click - freeze. And since at that point your attack speed was the speed at which you clicked...- Arcanum Sequel?
My summoner killed that gnome as well. Then she uncovered the truth about half ogres. So she went back to Tarant and left no gnome alive.- Arcanum Sequel?
I loved talking my way through the final encounter. Also Torian Kel was one of the best evil npcs to join a player's party. - Battletech
