  1. I noticed some of the Squeenix mobile games are on sale on Google Play so I scooped up Final Fantasy V (it's downloading now). Even on sale, it's still rather expensive compared to most Android games, but it's the second best Final Fantasy game ever made IMHO, so money well spent, methinks. Now I have something cool to play on break or during lunch.
  2. Here's the video of a bear playing tetherball you didn't know you wanted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vz_JCip9Ihs#t=68

  4. LOL. No I meant BRAHMS! The noise they use in (mostly sci-fi) movie trailer like crazy these days. The most notable (over)use were trailers for Inception. /Leonardo DiCaprio doing stuff BRAHHHHHHHM! BRAHHHHHHHM! //Joseph Gordon-Levitt doing stuff BRAHHHHHHHM! BRAHHHHHHHM! ///Ellen Page staring off into space BRAHHHHHHHM! BRAHHHHHHHM!
  5. I thought that too initially, but really, loan repayments are pocket change - even taking the easiest jobs every day your loan repayment component is a drop in the ocean. So now (well, not now since I haven't played for a while) I max out my loans and get as many trucks on the road as possible. And remember to focus your hired drivers' training on long distance or they might end up idle a lot. Yeah, after seeing how much more I make on jobs now that I have my own truck, it probably would have been more cost effective to take out a loan right away.
  6. Combat trailer (BRAHMS! included): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bb_jCP1mJo Spiffy!
  7. I finally got enough money in Euro Truck Simulator 2 to buy my own truck. I could have bought one much sooner, but that would have required taking out a loan from the bank then having to pay it back with interest. It's the cheapest Renault model available. I'm not going to bother accessorizing or upgrading it, since I plan to get a much better truck in the near future, but for now it allows me to run jobs for myself using my own truck, which earns significantly more money than driving other people's trucks.
  8. Denver is extremely beatable. They have a superpowered offense, but they also have a Loch Ness defense (just like the Loch Ness Monster, it's only imaginary). Still, outside of the Colts, who just did it, I'm not sure who in the AFC is going to beat them. The Pats are very shaky, the Bengals are a Jeckyll & Hyde team, the Chiefs are solid, but I'm not sure they have the firepower to hang enough points on the Broncos, everybody else in the AFC is mediocre or worse.
  9. Cowboys won an ugly game filled with penalties and sputtering offenses that could barely sustain a few plays in a row, let alone entire drives. Some may say "Well it was due to good defense". No, I have eyeballs, it was sloppy undisciplined play on both sides with the exception of a couple decent drives by Dallas. Nick Foles is not good. He looked good last week, but that was against a crap team. This week, against a slightly less crap team he looked thoroughly incompetent. Matt Barkley looked even worse, but I suppose I should cut him a bit of slack, being his first NFL action and all. Anyway, clearly Vick is the choice at starter, which is fine... when he can stay healthy... so maybe 3 or 4 more weeks this season total. Anyway, the Boys are alone in 1st and might just win the division by default. Too early to tell, though. There's plenty of derp in the NFC East left this season.
  10. We should start a Scherzer meme, if it hasn't been done yet.
  11. There were a lot of factors in the Sawx victory over the Tigers, but baserunning has to be right at the top of the list of things Detroit has to be kicking itself about. The Fielder play in that gif and a hobbled Miggy inexplicably trying to score from 2nd on a sharply hit single were the most prominent blunders.
  12. Pfft, breaking the fourth wall. I've already broken through the 5th wall and I'm working on the 6th right now. Rookies.
  13. They just fall unconscious, they always get back up after the battle, provided you won.
  14. LOL, homeslice needs to learn how to drive, he's all over the road. I'm all about staying within my lane, using blinkers, taking turns nice and wide to take the trailer into account, etc. Heck, I've even gotten halfway decent at backing trailers up, which I was horrible at.
  15. I personally hate low level more, but I agree epic levels suck too. A few games have handled it decently, but for the most part D&D, in video game form, sucks at both extremes. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the sweet spot for D&D is levels 5-15.
  16. **** yes! Shane Victorino had struggled all series long at the plate, with one swing he got redemption in the greatest way possible. World series bound! Coming into this series, who would have thought that the Tigers would be 0-3 in games started by Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander?
  17. At level 1 and 2 even a fighter is ridiculously frustrating to play and requires excessive save scumming. Low level BG just plain sucks.
  18. I scooped up Euro Truck Simulator 2 Gold while it was 50% off at Gamersgate. I'd been contemplating either getting this or a train simulator for quite some time. I desperately need something chill to play where I'm not constantly murdering people or being a complete a-hole. There's something really refreshing about cruising around in a big truck, listening to tunes, obeying the speed limit, using my blinkers, and just being a law abiding, safe driver, it's surprisingly fun. My only gripe about the game is the graphics. I don't usually gripe about graphics much, but in the case of a game like this, checking out the scenery while you cruise along is a big part of the enjoyment. While the game doesn't look horrible, it looks decidedly 2006-ish. Still, I'm pretty happy with the game so far. It's really nice to play something completely different from the murder fest that seems to make up 90%+ of video games.
  19. Yeah, my reason for not going bananas over this is that I already own Space Rangers 2. There's barely any difference between 1 & 2, and this HD version of the first game doesn't really look any better than what I already have. I fail to see the purpose of getting this. Now, if I didn't own a Space Rangers game already, I'd be all over this like a Catholic priest on an altar boy.
  20. I'm into the latter stages of Risen 2 now, exploring Maracai Bay. I've pretty much maxed out voodoo. Frankly, I can take almost any enemy with nothing buy my sword, but for the really tough ones, I can cast a curse on them so powerful that I can pretty much just tap them with my finger and they crumble to the ground.
  21. Not exactly luxury transportation, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do Jaffar, **** yes Controlling people with voodoo is never not fun, clipping issues and all
