Agreed 100%. Guns are far more powerful and useful than voodoo in the game, but voodoo is simply more fun.

Risen 2 - I finally did enough to impress ol' Steelbeard so he's let me swear the blood oath and join his crew. Congratulations, I'm now cursed! So we left Tacarigua and headed over to the Sword Coast (sounds familiar). Upon landing on the beach, Patty, her pops (Steelbeard), and I went to check out a watchtower that seemed to be occupied by some of Crow's men (we don't like Crow). Turns out they have enlisted the help of some natives, hence i got to slice up people of 2 different skin colors. After the battle it was time to choose a destination to try to enlist some help. I could visit the natives and try to get some of them on my side, or I could visit the ol' blue coats (Inquisition) who had recently (*wink wink*) terminated my employment with them. Of course, I knew I wouldn't have to choose a side just yet and would wind up visiting both camps at some point, but I decided to go to the natives first, on account of their women folk dressing all skimpy like and having nice asses. Once I got to the natives' village I had to whoop up on a spear chucker to get in. Don't look at me like that, he was literally chucking spears at me. So I had a talk with the natives and asked them to teach me some voodoo. They refused. Turns out they don't trust the white man. Can't say I blame them. I don't trust the white man either and I happen to be a white man. Guess I'll have to earn their trust before they warm up to me. So, might as well talk to the chieftain's daughter and see what's going on. Turns out she sent some dude out on a task and he hasn't returned for far too long. I can see where this is going. Yeah, I'll go look for him. So I talk to this nice bald fella who takes me to the missing dude's last know location. Hmm, pretty close to the blue coats' camp. Guess I'll be breaking someone out of prison (again). Well, I was going to go to the blue coats' camp sooner or later anyway, might as well do so now. Hopefully they'll have a map to sell me so I can fast travel in the future.

As a Cowboys fan, I can relate to Chargers fans at least a little bit, because my team also has a recent history chock full of underachieving, blowing leads, and losing games in the most painful ways imaginable. Mediocrity and disappointment is what I've come to expect. On the bright side, the Cowboys will finish around .500 like they do every year, just bad enough to not make the playoffs, but not bad enough to get a good draft pick, and the cycle of mediocrity and disappointment will continue. /headbutts wall

2014. No date more specific than that has been given.

/looks over at calendar It's not April... Activision is doing something that's not completely evil? //looks at calendar again ///double checks date online I'm still not holding my breath for GK4, but at least there's a chance now. In the meantime, there's Moebius to look forward to, plus I've been meaning to scoop up that Cognition game that Phoenix Online Studios did with story advice from Jane.

Why you gotta be slapping around the pork bun guy? The pork bun guy was the best. Why don't you have a pork bun in your hand? A man who never eats pork bun is never a whole man. Maybe if you ate some pork bun you wouldn't be such a chump in bed?

There were definitely plenty of characters that needed a lot more time being explored in Sleeping Dogs. In fact, the game could have used a good 5-10 hours more of story overall, if not more. Still absolutely loved the game, though. I love the fact that it continually shows Wei struggling with the horrible things he has to do while trying to keep his cover and stay true to his friends. It's not like "I come to this country for a new start" > Kill 50 people > "Hey Roman, you want to go bowling?"

I'm with Bruce, the hand to hand combat was one of the highlights of Sleeping Dogs for me. I enjoyed it immensely.

Tense game in Tampa tonight. In the end both closers failed their jobs and the Rays stave off elimination walk-off style. Hopefully Peavey brings his A game tomorrow. I don't relish the thought of having to potentially face Price again.

I had forgotten just how many things you have to do for Steelbeard to let you join his crew. I don't mind most of it, but there is one quest that forces you to compete in a mini-game, a really crappy mini-game, at that. Even if it was a good mini-game, forcing you to complete it for a mainline quest is just wrong. Mini-games should be optional, period.

Good hard base running by Victorino (I love that guy) caused Zobrist to fire another errant throw, leading to a 1-0 Boston lead early. Edit: Sawx getting it done with the glove tonight, and all series long.

Whatever form the game takes, I demand more pork bun guy. "A man who never eats pork bun is never a whole man" - Ancient Chinese proverb

Nice picture. I know you stated the Starter mod for modding Risen 2, however when I try to look for it and download it, I go in circles with mainly German dialogue that I simply can't read. Any help for a link to where I can get it? It's at the very bottom of this page: http://www.worldofrisen.de/english/download_85.htm

I'm getting an SCP (IN SPACE) vibe from these videos. I like it. Same here. Except you have to say it like this: "SCP, IN SPAAAAAAAAAAAACE!". I'm looking forward to seeing more of there viral teasers.

Where do you get tablet game from? I didn't read anything about tablet (or any platform, for that matter) from that short release.

The As are up 3-0 on the Tigers in the 4th. I'm at work, so the best I can do is check the score once in a while. Later today it's Buchholz vs. Cobb. Buchholz has been terrific at The Trop over his career, hopefully that continues tonight.

How is it? The trailer looked dreadful.

Risen 2 - I'm eager to get off Tacarigua so I can meet the natives and get my voodoo on, but I still have a few things left to do before Steelbeard will let me join the crew, namely I need to get sugar for Booze. So far I've been putting all my points in Cunning and Toughness, so I'm still a wimp with a sword, but termites (which I need to dispatch to get the sugar) are easy enough enemies, even with my lack of skill.

And yet, since 2010 he has an above .500 record as a starter and more playoff victories than Peyton Manning. Just sayin'...

Tim Tebow is still available...
-
Yeah, at least he's going into a situation that isn't a COMPLETE disaster, and has Purple Jesus to work with.

More weirdness from SOMA: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eytOzwyfiCA Color me interested.

Good move for the Vikings, I still think Freeman can be decent. I'm really shocked the Browns didn't scoop him up. I'm thinking the Texans may be wishing he was still out there too. Schaub looks like he's beyond salvaging at this point. Jags need a QB desperately too, as Gabbert is horrendous, but they're obviously tanking for Teddy Bridgewater.
