Naturally, who else would it be? Not coincidentally, my favorite character in OG Dragon Ball (far and away the best Dragon Ball don't @ me) is Oolong, given he's for all intents and purposes Zhu Bajie, just like Goku is Sun Wukong. Oolong appears in DBZ and so on, but in a much diminished role as the series devolved from the fun, goofy hijinks of the original to he's power level 100000! Oh yeah, well I powered up to 500000. Oh yeah, well I'm now power level 90000000000. And so on. As for the new Grim Dawn expansion, I'm all for it. The best loot em up gets bigger and even better, what's not to love? -

They certainly were and also surprisingly good babyfaces (for the short time they were face). Corny cut arguably his best promo ever as a babyface: Who knew he had a fiery babyface promo in him? -

I used to love seeing the Midnight Express obliterate some jobbers, that was the greatest joy. A heel team like the Andersons would come in and just steamroll a jobber team and be done with it in like a minute, minute and a half, they weren't getting paid by the hour. The Midnight Express, instead, would take their time so that they could inflict more punishment on the poor sods. They'd beat one guy unconscious then drag his carcass over to his corner so that his partner could tag in just so that they could beat him senseless too. Then Sweet Stan would distract the ref while Beautiful Bobby tossed one of the sods outside so that Cornette could get some licks in with the tennis racket. -

I was up in Connecticut so we got WWF, naturally, and ESPN had old WCCW shows on so I got to see the entire Freebirds vs Von Erichs feud. I had to rely on tape trading to get anything else. Later on I got into Crockett and Mid-South (which was defunct by then) and those became my favorites. I always liked that style of wrestling better than what I got from WWF. I'd say Crockett was my absolute favorite because I like tag team wrestling and Crockett always featured tag teams prominently. I wish I could see the alternate timeline where (more) PPV providers called Vince's bluff, Crockett didn't get screwed on PPVs and he never sold the company to Turner in late 88. -

Unfortunately, I started watching at the very end of the territories era, Vince McMahon had already bought up/put out of business most of them. When I started watching the only companies left standing were WWF, Jim Crockett Promotions (soon to be WCW), Memphis, and the desiccated corpse of the AWA. I wish I could go back and watch the territories back in their glory days and I've found stuff from the early to mid 80s online, but stuff from the 70s and earlier is really hard to come by. I'd love to see Steamboat & Youngblood's tag run. -

I watched AEW All In 2023 from Wembley Stadium in London, England. The term "historic" gets used far too often, but in this case it fits. At 81,035 this was the largest paid attendance in rasslin' history, topping the previous record of 80,706 set by WWE's Wrestlemania 32 in Arlington, Texas in 2016. It's not the largest attendance ever, that honor belongs to NJPW & WCW Collision in Korea night 2 in 1995 in Pyongyang, North Korea at 165,000, but attendance was government mandated for that show. Anyway, it was a fantastic show with a MASSIVE and very loud crowd. If one of the goals of the show was to make AEW look major league, and I'm sure it was, then mission successful. The $10 million+ gate doesn't hurt either. 4 years ago, before AEW was formed, anyone other than Vince McMahon putting 80K butts in seats for a rasslin' event was INCONCEIVABLE. NJPW's annual Wrestle Kingdom event once hit a high of 43K, which is nothing to sneeze at, but a far cry from 80K. Nobody else has been able to do even 10K since WCW folded over 20 years ago. I firmly believe we are currently in a Rasslin' Golden Age. WWE is the hottest it's been in AT LEAST a decade, with the best angle (Bloodline) and the best heel (Dirty Dom) going. NJPW, while not at the peak form they were in in 2018 has bounced back from the pandemic which hurt them a lot and is coming off a terrific G1 Climax tournament, and AEW just set a new standard for a giant event. This harkens back to 1998 when WWF, WCW, and ECW were all hot simultaneous, even if ECW wasn't ever profitable. -
This was another unique and interesting boss fight. You fight 8 giant cubes, 4 on the ground and 4 in the air.

Beef and broccoli with mushrooms. Quick and easy in the pressure cooker. I used a little bit too much brown sugar so the sauce is slightly sweeter than what I intended (that's what I get for just eyeballing everything rather than carefully measuring) but it's still quite good.

Wait, wait, wait, it's been brought to my attention that the man, the myth, the legend J K Simmons does voice work in this game. That's all the more reason to play this, which I intend to at some point. Drat, I almost wish that I hadn't started Remnant 2, but I did and Remnant 2 is awesome so I'm not about to stop playing it until probably multiple playthroughs so that I can unlock all the classes archetypes and try them out. Oh well, it gives me something to look forward to. I guess it's back to mostly avoiding this thread to avoid spoilers. Carry on.

Preemptive reverse review bombing. It's a review bombing arms race! Given that we're pretty much through the looking glass, I mean, there's stuff really happening every day these days that would have been a skit on The Onion 15 years ago, ludicrous stuff like this doesn't surprise me one bit. On the one hand, it's really pathetic to be that spiteful. On the other hand, I kinda admire the hustle and dedication. -

@melkathiReview bombing has been happening for at least a decade for all manner of ill conceived reasons. This is not a new phenomenon. There's even reverse review bombing where people will give ludicrously glowing 10/10 reviews to games, movies, whatever that might be okay or pretty good but certainly not deserving of 10/10 scores to "balance" the negative review scores they feel are unfair. This practice is just as stupid as review bombing. Just give your honest opinion and move on. Anyway, Please don't suck. Please don't suck. Please don't suck. -

It's about time someone made a Wing Commander game from the point of view of the Kilrathi. -

I'm down for Broken Sword 6 so long as they find a way to shoehorn in a goat again. As for the remake of Broken Sword 1, I'll pass. it's the best game in the series but I've already played it multiple times. -

Tony Khan with the 2 for 1 special, simultaneously plugging this coming Sunday's historic All In PPV and the new Stadium Stampede mode for AEW Fight Forever. Skip to 0:48 for vidya game footage. The crazy thing is that this is not even much of an exaggeration of the Stadium Stampede matches that happened in real life. Stuff like riding golf cars and horses actually happened. -
I didn't watch the whole debate because part of it overlapped with rasslin' and I have my priorities straight. Anyway, from what I saw, if the goal was to suck up to Trump in a strategic effort to secure the VP nod then Vivek Ramaswamy came out the winner. Here's probably still got the taste of shoe polish in his mouth. He went with the Trump-esque approach of throwing barbs at everyone else in the room and making BOLD claims. He doesn't have Trump's comedic chops, though.
