I mean, it's a mobile game and we're talking about Activision here. Of course it will have microtransactions and gacha systems. Just to be clear, I'm not necessarily against microtransactions and gacha, so long as the game is f2p and the paywall is not too egregious. Now, if the game already has you pay a price up front, especially anything even approaching $60 AND they put f2p monetization schemes in on top of that? That's ****ed up.

From now on I will think of Taylor Swift as the mobile gaming of the music world.

Statement from every woman I have ever been with.

I stopped caring about Blizzard and their IPs roughly a decade ago, but I do enjoy me some good outrage and scahenfreude, so I'm like:

Yeah, Jax is a pathetic weakling at first. Try to avoid most combat and complete a bunch of easy quests as that will level you up the quickest. You will really start to get stronger once you join a faction.

Aww yeah. After a good month of grinding it finally happened, I got my Susano-o Now I just need to transfer some skills to him, evolve him to 6*, max his level, max his skills, and get him top notch brands. All this will take some time, but this is a big step for me as I now finally have a worthy end-game party. Granted, I may still replace someone in my current group of Asherah, Alilat, White Rider, and Susano-o, especially if a Metatron, Alice, Surt, or another epic tier nuker happens to fall into my lap, but I'm confident I can finish the Aura Gate dungeon with the current team, once fully equipped.

One of the most visible buildings I see as I pass cities on the highway is typically the water tower. Cities often put these close to the interstate and sometimes they spruce them up real nice like. The best one I've seen so far is in Gaffney, SC. It's a giant peach complete with stem, leaf, the little nub, even the ass crack. Note: I didn't take the picture. Anyone here see any cool water towers or other weird landmarks out there?

A third Bad Boys movie has been confirmed. Tentatively scheduled for 2020. **** just got real.

Am I the only one here excited for Artifact?

I'm pretty sure I saw it free on PS Plus a couple months back. I didn't bother, since I already have Warframe.

This seems like military-grade hardware. Are civilians even allowed to own these?

I haven't given up on Dak yet. Dude has no one to throw to besides Cole Beasley or Zeke out of the backfield. I mean, this dumbass team tried to make Terence Williams their #1 wide out. You're not doing so hot when Terence Williams is your #2 receiver, let alone the #1 guy. I doubt the recent trade really fixes this problem.

I think this Sawx team ranks among the greatest teams of the modern era. Their biggest weakness was a very suspect bullpen, but they got 108 regular season wins while playing in a division with another 100 win team. They had great starting pitching at the top of the rotation and one of the scariest lineups I have ever seen. They were a juggernaut.

Agreed on both accounts.

Damn, how you gonna hate on Bulletstorm? That game is super fun.

Awesome month for PS Plus members. We're getting Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza: Kiwami free, among others. <3

Well, I think it's safe to say that David Price has conquered his postseason demons, he was phenomenal tonight. The Sawx bats were relentless, as always, and Boston took home their 4th championship in 15 years.

Definitely worth playing, provided that you can deal with the usual PB jank. 1 is the most like Gothic. 2 goes into a Pirate direction, which I liked while others were put off by it. I haven't played 3 yet.

The Dodgers' hopes ride on the arm of Clayton Kershaw for game 5. If there was ever a time for him to come through, this is it. Meanwhile, the Sawx are going with "Mr. October" David Price in the potential final game of the year.

^ SEGA did a thing even more miraculous than what you mentioned. They put out a phone game that doesn't suck. Granted, MegaTen is an Atlus IP, but SEGA owns Atlus now, so yeah. Anyway, I'm still playing SMT: Liberation Dx2. I probably have like 200 hours in that game. Granted, a lot of it lately has been mostly grinding, a lot of which was the game playing itself. I'm so close to getting the magnetite I need to fuse Susano-o that I can taste it. Once I have him I can make the push to finish the Aura Gate dungeon. I also got a Trumpeter in the meantime. Trumpeter is a really powerful demon that kinda doesn't fit in my current party, but I'm holding on to him for future uses. He has some great reliable damage nukes with bonus status ailments, but they are extremely high mana cost, so you need to invest heavily into mana regen for him. I can see him eventually as a part of my PvP duel party. But that's for another time. All my current resources are focused on getting Susano-o. If SEGA wanted to be really really cool, though, and become the most wonderful games company on the planet, they'd throw a ton of money at Obs to make Alpha Protocol 2 and have SIE be the protagonist. But I don't think SEGA is THAT cool. Prove me wrong SEGA. Prove me wrong.

The Yakuza games, in general, are a master class of excellence in engaging game design. They're the anti-Ubisoft.
-
The Sawx lineup is relentless. Kimbrel was shaky as ****, as usual, but the Sawx bats built up a large enough lead that it didn't matter. Dodgers are down to their last life.

That sucks. Hopefully they have it in stock soon. Kind of rotten to list something as "in stock" when it's not. A few pieces of advice for when you do get the game: * The game starts off kinda slow. Stick with it, it gets much better. * You will be super weak at first and you will die. A lot. Run away. * Joining a faction is a big time boost in power and it doesn't disqualify you from doing basic quests for other factions. Once you figure out who you want to join, go for it. You will likely go up several levels and get armor that's better than any non-faction armor available. * Your stamina pool at the beginning of the game is pathetic. There is a skill in the survival tree that increases stamina. If you get the alchemy skill you can brew potions that permanently increase stamina. There are also wearable items that increase stamina. Anything and everything that increases stamina is very much worth getting as soon as possible.

That was a crazy game.

I'm still playing Elex. I picked up another companion, Ray. He has a long quest chain I'm going through that involves a lot of exploring. I can be a lot more daring and confident exploring now. I run into a lot of enemies I used to run from and hand them their asses. Granted there are still some enemies I need to be very careful with, like Stone Claws and Armored Insects, and some I still run from, like Chimeras and Trolls.
