If I played for the Bills my heart would probably not be in the game either.

You know, the last thing I wanted was for governments to get involved with gaming, but since corporate greed knows no bounds their hand was forced. Thanks a lot ********!

1-1 Muh Boys are on track for mediocrity.

I finally have the 2 component demons in SMT Liberation Dx2 that I need to fuse my precious Susano-o, and it will be a purple Susano-o to boot. In this game demons come in several archetypes: Common (white), Aragami (red), Elementalist (green), Protector (yellow), and Psychic (purple). Every demon gets an extra skill called an Awaken skill because you need to "awaken" it by spending some of the 100 different in-game currencies before you can use it. The archetype determines the type of skill you get: Aragami is an attack, Protector is a heal or defensive buff, etc. Anyway, the skill you get for a purple Susano-o is Merciless Blow, which gives +20% damage when you attack a weakness. The great thing about Susano-o is that he has Assassin, a passive that gives +10% to single target damage, plus both a very powerful single target physical attack and a very powerful single target magical (force) attack. Single target is king in this game IMHO. Normally, in this situation with other demons, you would have to make a decision whether to build them for phys or magic damage, but Susano-o's force attack uses phys attack for determining damage rather than the usual mag attack, so you can just build him for purely phys attack and it strengthens both your phys and your force attack. For my 2 open skill slots I'll add Phys Boost (+15% phys attack) and either Null Fire or Drain Fire, to address Susano-o's one weakness. Just one thing stands in my way... It costs an insane amount of Magnetite (one of the 100 in-game currencies) to fuse an elite tier. This is where the game's paywall comes in. It will take a massive amount of time to grind that much mag. In fairness to the game, you don't need elite tier demons to finish the main story, you can do it fine with high tier demons evolved to 5 star and max level, and you can do that without excessive grinding. To go deep in the optional Aura Gate dungeon, though, you DO need elite tier demons. This is akin to trying to defeat optional super bosses or super dungeons in other jRPGs and those generally require massive grind investment even in non-f2p games. Anyway, I've only spent $8 on the game so far and I've gotten dozens upon dozens of hours of fun with it, so I'll probably give them another $25 or 30. That seems like fair compensation. Some of that will help me get my Susano-o a bit faster.

Congratulations! :D

I finished the main story in SMT Liberation Dx2. It literally ends with a "to be continued". I don't know if that means DLC or a sequel? Either way, I still have plenty of stuff left to do in the game, namely finishing the Aura Gate dungeon. That will require acquiring some more elite tier demons as the boss battles are becoming quite tough and I still have 18 floors to go. I definitely need to get Susano-o and ideally Metatron or Lucifer (both would be awesome but that's pushing it).

Night dispatch is useless, double useless on the weekends. It's like these people enjoy burning my 14 hour clock. Either that or they're too lazy to do their job and get me a load. So here I sit at a Love's truck stop in Nashville just waiting. The trick is to put myself in sleeper berth, then I usually get a load quick. Can't have me getting any sleep.

I cleared floor 30 of the Aura Gate dungeon in SMT Liberation Dx2. Really fun boss fight at the end of that floor that forced me to think creatively despite the fact that I'm still a bit overleveled for that floor. This now unlocked several more demon fusions, including my coveted Susano-o. Of course, now I have to reverse engineer Susano-o and come up with a plan. Anyone who has played MegaTen can attest to elite tier demons being rather tricky to fuse, at least without sacrificing another elite tier demon. There are lots of different fusion combinations to fuse each demon, the trick is to use the combination that uses only lower tier demons, and those are rare. For an elite tier demon like Susano-o even the lower tier demons you use to fuse him are still high tier and I might not have them and may need to fuse them first. I may have to go 2 or 3 levels deep (to the snow level) and start with low tier demons to fuse mid tier to fuse high tier to fuse Susano-o. If this all sounds complicated, it is. That is the price you gotta pay to get elite tier demons, unless you get super lucky with a summon, like I did to get Asherah.

Has anyone actually finished KoA: Reckoning? I tried playing it 3 times and have up due to boredom each time. The longest I lasted was about 5 hours. I'm not sure Ive met anyone that has actually completed the game.

Muh Boys being terrible is too fortunate an outcome to occur. We'll be mediocre as always, that way we neither make the playoffs nor get a good draft pick. Plus our worthless patsy of a coach will inexplicably retain his job. As for the Pats, they can sleepwalk to 10 wins by virtue of a crappy division, as usual. Who's going to take the division from them? The Bills? I know they somehow made the playoffs last year, but that is not a good team. The Fins? LOL. The J E T S Jets Jets Jets? Double LOL.

I cleared floor 24 of the Aura Gate dungeon in Shin Megami Tensei Liberation Dx2. I'm getting really close to the all important floor 30. The dungeon has 50 floors, but floor 30 is significant because several high level demon fusions are locked behind clearing that floor, including Susano-o, one of my all time favorites in MegaTen. I have made it my mission to ultimately have Susano-o replace Wu Kong as my A-Team's glass cannon physical damage dealer. With the right build, Susano-o hits ridiculously hard. If I transfer Wu Kong's phys boost passive to Susano-o the damage will become straight up disgusting. On top of that, Susano-o has a high damage force element spell that also buffs your entire party AND uses physical attack stat as its damage basis rather than magic attack. The cherry on top is that, while still fragile, Susano-o is less frail than Wu Kong to boot. I'm salivating just thinking about it.

Mission accomplished.

We can debate who is going to win the Superbaw, but the real important topic is who will be the crappiest team in the league. Who ya got? I'm going back and forth on the Raiders, because I have zero faith Gruden can coach a pro team in 2018 and because they traded away their best player, and the Cards, because that team is just a mess.

Here you go , sort of.That looks to be right up my alley AND it has a Linux version. Thanks Fenixp.

Phantom Doctrine from Playstation store.

Jealousy level rising... Rising. It will likely be at least a couple months before I get to play it.

Apropos Alpha Protocol, it's my favorite game Obsidian has ever made. Sure, the game was a buggy mess at launch (par for the course for Obs ) and it had plenty of faults that critics rightfully lambasted the game for in reviews, but the good far outweighs the bad IMHO. What AP did well it did BRILLIANTLY; arguably the best dialogue system and choice and consequence in any game at that time and since.

That looks like my jam. As an aside, I would kill for a Firefly-esque sci-fi adventure game where it's more about stealth, deception, and resourcefulness to complete your various quests as you try to eek out a living in a decidely not military vessel and combat is always a last resort despite having a couple ex soldiers and a girl who is secretly a super assassin and may or may not be a psycopath on your team.

Yeah, but they're getting a second rounder in return. If the Raiders are awful and the Bears are good, which is at least somewhat plausible, that 1st rounder for 2nd rounder might be only moving up like 8 or 10 picks. What are the odds that either of those 1st round picks gets you someone even remotely as dominant as Khalil Mack? Not great. Also, 27 isn't that old. Ray Lewis played until he was like 70. When someone hands you the opportunity to get arguably the best linebacker in the league during his prime, you take it. Edit: Before anyone jumps down my throat, I realize it might not be fair to compare Khalil Mack to Ray Lewis. I mean, Khalil Mack hasn't stabbed anyone, that I'm aware of.

Footbaw is back baby! As is my tradition, I have been completely avoiding anything NFL related outside of the draft, but the bombshell the Raiders just dropped was impossible to ignore. I'm just stunned. On the cusp of the season starting, the Oakland Raiders just traded away their best player, and got maybe 30 cents on the dollar for him. What the ****!? Their justification for making one of the worst trades I've seen in years is that they couldn't afford to pay both Carr and Mack, so they chose maybe the 13th or 14th best QB in the league over a once or twice a generation level linebacker. Just... *gasp* Anyway, congratulations to the Chicago Bears for the early Christmas present they just received. As for my Boys, we're headed for 8-8 again aren't we?

That statement should also be applied to 90% of AAA games released in the last 5 years.

Happy Labor Day to all my fellow Muricans. As a trucker, I did not get the day off, but I did have a great day at work driving through the lovely mountains in Tennessee and Virginia. I'm headed to New Jersey and my goal for the day was to get past DC and Baltimore before shutting down for the night, because I sure as **** don't want to drive through those cities during the morning rush. I did just that, made good time, and got a great parking spot to boot. All in all a good day.

I'm not particularly looking for Dragon Quest XI to reinvent the formula. I want a good story, memorable characters, and the turn-based combat they've had for 30 years. The reviews I've read seem to suggest that's exactly what this game delivers.

DRAGON QUEST XI RELEASES ON TUESDAY! THIS IS NOT A DRILL. I REPEAT, DRAGON QUEST XI RELEASES ON TUESDAY! https://youtu.be/1zRwkJuwkjg Apropos BioWare: Are there still hardcore Bio fanboys left on these forums? I thought the bloom has been off that rose for quite a while.
