Out of curiosity, are the Patriots still villains or has their descent into mediocrity since the Belichick/Brady divorce softened people's opinion of them? As a Cowboys fan, it's obvious where I stand, but for the rest of America, who was the babyface and who was the heel in the Cowboys vs Patriots game?

Since you like racing games and have a PS4 there's Gran Turismo 7. If you want a hardcore sim there's Assetto Corsa Competizione. If you want something more arcadey there's Need For Speed Heat and also The Crew 2, which has a downright ludicrous amount of content. All the games I listed except GT7 are available on PC, so you may have already played them.

The Great Squirrel Hunt is nearing its end; I have completed 51 of 56 squirrel graffiti challenges (They're not much of a challenge, I just don't know what else to call them. The challenge is finding them). I'm also getting close to finishing all the school stories. I've completed 6 of 10 of the school stories, I just need to complete the robotics club, the boxing club, motorcycle racing, and the MRC. The completion gauge on the MRC hasn't budged in forever despite the fact that the story has progressed through the other clubs. I'm guessing I won't get to the meat of that story until I finish all the other ones. I'm looking forward to that since I really like working with Amasawa, she's the best.

He did that last year too, but his instincts and ability to predict the play have greatly improved this year, leading to a much more favorable ratio of interceptions to getting horribly burned. I can live with him getting burned once in a while if he keeps getting picks every game.

What a ****show that was! Muh Boys played like garbage today; we had so many turnovers, terrible penalties, and our kicker missed a kick (it was 51 yards, so not exactly a chip shot) which should have been the final nail in our coffin. We deserved to lose that game; we should be 4-2 right now. Instead, we pulled a win out of our asses, thanks in no small part to Trevon Diggs being awesome. As an added bonus, every other team in our dog**** division lost, so we're 3 games clear of the pack heading into our bye week. The way I see it, we only need 4 wins in our remaining 11 games to take the NFC East. I can't imagine any of the other 3 teams getting to 9-8, I'm not sure if any of them can even get to 8-9. Have I mentioned that Trevon Diggs is awesome? I only bring this up because he's awesome.

Yes "boneless wings" is a misnomer. I mean, they are indeed boneless, but there's nothing wings about them. They are glorified chicken nuggets. Nothing wrong with nuggets, though. I generally prefer actual wings, bones and all. One of the main reasons is that they're not breaded... Okay, some people bread them, I sure as hell don't. Besides buffalo wings (I don't go nuclear hot, but I like a decent bit of heat to them), which are classic, I very much like garlic parmesan wings and teriyaki wings.

I'd sign off on a J Jonah Jameson movie, though, so long as it's J K Simmons.

My Switch OLED "shipped" today (I imagine labels were made and applied today and it will physically ship Monday). Supposedly it should arrive mid to late next week. Doesn't much matter since I'm on the road, so I won't be able to pick it up until a week later. Oh well, I should still have enough time to play Metroid Dread (I wish I was playing it now, but what are you gonna do?) before Shin Megami Tensei V comes out.

Batman and Spiderman are in a neck and neck race to see who can oversaturate the market the fastest. Over the last 32 years there have been 8 Batman movies, 9 if you count Justice League, more still if you count animated movies. Over the last 19 years there have been 8 Spiderman movies, 9 if you count Avengers: End Game, more if you count animated ones. I guess Spiderman is winning on frequency.

Bruce Willis with his trademark I'd rather be anywhere else but here look on his face in every scene.

I just realized that Harebrained Schemes is owned by Paradox...
-
I know Obsidian has worked with Paradox before (on the excellent Tyranny), but that was before they were acquired by Microsoft. It's not impossible that Microsoft and Paradox worked out a deal but I'd give it an extremely unlikely.

I hope it turns out good but I'm not holding my breath. Games that have gone through production hell and multiple developers... This sort of thing generally doesn't have a happy ending.

The Great Squirrel Hunt stands at 43 of 56 completed. This squirrel graffiti is getting harder and harder to find. I found one on a tree, on the ceiling, underwater, granted it was about 6 inches of water, but still. I usually walk Amasawa's adorable dog while I look for squirrels. Since finishing the main story, I have no desire to fight random mooks any more and a side benefit of walking the dog is that all enemies disappear off the map while you are doing it. I guess random thugs wearing loud shirts are scared of Ranpo.

I don't know if anyone is enjoying a Switch OLED right now outside of hardware reviewers that got sent one free for review. Mine is "delayed" that's as much information as is available to me. I'm done with buying hardware until this shortage and scalper bull**** blows over, assuming it ever does. I mean, look at PS5 and xXxBOxXx, nearly year old systems STILL virtually impossible to buy at retail price. We need some kind of cyber ninja to go around murdering scalpers, preferably slowly and painfully.

Reviews are starting to pop up and they seem to indicate all the hallmarks of a Swery game: Undercooked mechanics - A generous serving of jank - Bizarre premise and characters - Wacky plot twists -

Fun Fact: The Black Hole gave me nightmares when I was a wee lad.

It can't be THAT bad. I mean, my avatar is Neil Breen. Is it worse than a Neil Breen movie? And by "worse" I mean more awesome.

Rich Evans has great taste in movies.

Great movie and it doesn't even make my Kurosawa top 3, but that's no knock against it. That man made a lot of really great movies.

@RaitheAgreed on Goldeneye as the best Bond movie. Also agree that The Mummy (the Brendan Fraser one) is one of those movies that if it comes on TV I'll just happily watch it. Kill Bill has a special place in my heart because it's Tarantino's love letter to Hong Kong cinema, but just no room for it on my top 10. So many movies I wanted to put in there like Kill Bill (part 1 if I have to choose just 1), Ran, Robocop (1987), 2001: A Space Odyssey, Die Hard, and Back to the Future, but difficult cuts had to be made.

I like the whole Sam Rami Evil Dead trilogy. Evil Dead 2 just barely edges out Army of Darkness in my book, but I love both movies.

My Top 10 in no particular order: Yojimbo (1961) A Clockwork Orange (1971) Total Recall (1990) Pulp Fiction (1994) The 36th Chamber of Shaolin (1978) Evil Dead 2 (1987) Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) Starship Troopers (1997) Rashomon (1950) Goodfellas (1990) I have 1 movie in common with @Hurlsnot none with @Bartimaeus 2 Kurosawa movies and 2 Verhoeven movies on my list, along with Kubrick those are my favorite directors.

Either that or turn it into a career.
