  1. As for the lack of talents, see Josh's post yesterday: http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/66444-backer-beta-coming-august-18th/?p=1469106
  2. I know! And to think there will be more to come, an expansion, and Josh knows what!
  3. Alright, I haven't read all of your posts, but this is my spontaneous reaction halfway through watching the video: WOO-HOO!!!! This is the game that's been missing in my game library for years, a new game of the kind I love is coming soon. Thank you so much, Obsidian!!! I love the UI, and all the nods to CRPGs of yore (specifically, the IE games). Wow. I'm trembling a bit, and I'm salivating, while being parched at the same time. That character creation.... *faints* EDIT: I've watched the whole thing and I am thoroughly blown away. I will play this until my hands bleed, develop callouses, and make me look like a death godlike! My only criticism right off the bat is that those fires used in that pillar puzzles looked too bright, too similar, and a tad bit off over the rest of the environment. Nitpicking, really.
  4. Although cliché, I found Dark Sun: Shattered Lands, and its "You're prisoners and gladiators that'll win or die" quite satisfying for a first two hours, I reckon.
  5. Perhaps what I hope to get out of this quick-peek the most is some music and sound effects, perhaps even spell effects and such. Yum!
  6. Quaint is the word, or is it quail? Nevermind. Juggling geese, hmm, I'm not sure the birds themselves approve. I see fear in the eyes of these ducklings: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrVKnJ36tNQ
  7. Nice thinking! I just realized that all our preparation plans have to be done twice: once in August, and then around X-mas again.
  8. No, it's the Neogi. And here I was, thinking it was Zygom.
  9. Alright, that's got to be the best post I've read in a loooong time. Thanks for taking the time to write that up, Nonek. Not only is it full of worthwhile tips, but it's also very witty and even cosy, somehow.
  10. No, ape people, please. I don't even like Planet of the Apes. And King Kong is even worse than Tarzan. I'm so tired of all these tribal humanoid races, like orcs, kobolds, goblins and hobgoblins. I'm not very fond of those ogres and giants either, at least as long as they are portrayed in that dumb evil brutes which gravitate towards LE leader tyrant humanoids. All that sucks just as much as the demonspawn in Dragon Age, which pretty much ruined that game for me. The orcs and bugbears-section of the NWN2 OC is the worst part. I want a game much more along the lines of Mask of the Betrayer, slightly exotic, weird, ever so exciting and still ever so believable.
  11. -Be inexplicably unavailable for any work until duly noted -Download game -Listen to the great new music and stare like a deer into approaching headlights on a freeway at night -Begin the lovely and lengthy process of character creation. I set off a full day for that -Still, I'll send off a skimpy elf ranger called Indira Lightfoot into the adventure -Consume only the best Belgian chocolate in small savoury bits -Make dreams come true
  12. Could it be a d20-rules sandbox-y open world-thingie with Pillars of Eternity-isometrics, but real 3D this time (sorta like WL2), all made in Unity?
  13. Happy birthday in advance, Bryy! I really feel the same. For the Divinity: Original Sin, I did very minor character creation and start-up area runs, and nothing more. Perfect! Thank you. You will be able to go through character creation for your main character and any character you choose to make through the adventurer creator. They will all act as adventurers, not companions (meaning they don't have story content). Sweetest beta perfection....
  14. They all were - Fussballgötter!
  15. It was a pretty great tournament overall (except some of the referees), and I do think that the winners reflect the reality of the WC, as it were: Only one team had this total-Füssball, being great at defending, mid-field tactics, quick passes, creative goals, etc, all at once and consistently, and that team is Germany. I'm still amazed over Brazil's defensive collapses during the last two games, and Scholari's passivity in that first game, when their defence was breached in the worst of ways.
  16. 18th of August? OK. *Goes stomping any workload into the ground.* I'll be there. Overall, great work, as always! Artistically, I think the Vithracks win hands down. Cool name and story, too. Xaurips aren't doing much for me atm, but perhaps they are super-cool in-game. Also, like others have said, the Blights look more like elementals/spell/ward-effects, and less like souls trapped in their elemental calamaties. For instance, think of the souls trapped inside those uber-Death Maiden-thingies in D3 Reaper of Souls, as a bizarre example. It should look and of course sound more creepy.
  17. Germany is eating Brazil up and spitting out tears and depravation, just saying. Holy cow!! I've never, ever seen anything like it in top soccer. :/
  18. I've just upgraded my desktop pc, and for the first time, I opted for a SSD as my main. Let me just say this: It's fantastic! It's notably faster, and it's also super-silent. I'm pleasantly surprised, and I will most likely get another down the road.
  19. Yay! Belgium managed to beat the heroic Americans! I feel sad for them, since they were very good, had fantastic tenacity, and a goalie from heaven. On a more personal note, as for win-loss predictions, I managed to guess the outcome right in 7 out of 8 matches. (Self-bragging, I know. Shame on me.)
  20. Now I have 3-1 in my little collection of predictions. Leferd has 4-0, no?
  21. YEEEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  22. Nice start. Go, Costa Rica!
