Elf Portrait
IndiraLightfoot replied to gamerdude130's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Unlike most peeps here, it seems, I don't mind elves - but that smirky portrait really crawls under my skin, where it inserts tiny eggs of Beverly Hills 90210 emulation! If any NPC in the game has a portrait like that, I'll unleash my horde of killer rabbits and insta-kill! -
19pm - the secret time zone *Insert Twilight tune* (Well, what I really meant was 7pm, Central Europe Time).

"Your player house is located within the boundaries of the stronghold, but it is its own building with its own upgrades/benefits." "I think physically splitting the house and the stronghold increases the likelihood that the player will choose to not visit one or the other (most likely, the house) over the course of the game." -Sawyer. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/64350-update-63-stronghold/?p=1368432 Oh no! There went my plan of skipping the stronghold altogether. Unless I can skip that house too. I refuse to take part in any bloated financial scheme of money sinks and smoke screens. I don't want to create any Enron in Eora, if you know what I mean.

I agree with Bryy: 10am PDT, and 19pm CET, since Steam will add it to its auto-update schedule (which also often includes a delay of 15-45 min, I've noticed this summer). So, it's less than 10 hours from now, at least.

How high is high? Diamond 5, Diamond 1, High Diamond 1, Challenger, what server? Take a look at professional matches in lol or dota 2 and compare them to star craft 2. Both type of games take time to master and both can't be mastered over night. Absolutely. It takes heaps of skills in both these categories. As for my friends, they are not at all elite or anything, although they do love LoL in particular. They rank from upper Gold to upper Platinum.

Welcome, and that's a fantastic avatar you picked for yourself! -
Another huge crowd to throw some PR at is the D3 crowd. I've managed to turn three teenage relatives into playing D:OS - there are plenty of ARPG players that wish for more RPG, less hectic RT decisions, and just have the tactical side to deal with and enjoy. Also, they get more character customization and levelling choices.

Valorian: Agreed. The attack speed and combat speed seems to be pretty spot on for a game like this, even if some Oozes and other enemies sometimes seem to rush towards slightly too fast at times. -

That would be really nice, Karranthain! Seconded. -
Fluffle: Great idea! It's hard to beat the romantic power of a limping, half-drowned and shaggy Lassie approaching you in slow motion up a river bank, yapping delightfully, at the end of a tough adventure. All baddies are beaten off, all that remains is that big fat canine hug, with an eager sloppy tongue, the air thick with the smell of wet fur and open wounds.

Heh! On most points you seem to be correct! Some can perhaps be explained by it being a fantasy setting, but that bridge balustrade is too high. Why did they go through all that effort? Perhaps ogres built it three centuries ago? No, wait. There isn't any dirt, plant, goo, stuff in-between the cracks. It must have been built yesterday. And that humongous wheel: It reflects light far too much - it almost shines. Going through water all day - it should be dark, murky and covered in algae. As for the wood they've sourced for it: It must have been redwood. Come Monday, Obsidian will get plenty of tough love like this from all of us. This is a tide building up. I hope they are prepared, because we love this game, and we want most stuff to be reasonable, fun and fitting!
