[BUG] One weapon is able to be copied to two slots
Yeah it's funny because when u see your character fighting, he uses this imagined weapon to hit enemies, and it does damage :DDD

The strongest beta build
Just did some small test, Blast will trigger Affliction, Powder Burns won't Btw Shadow Step won't work with Blast, too bad I want AOE Paralyze. PS: Retribution doesn't work on Scepter Modal. I think its a bug.

The strongest beta build
So you mean Blast from rod can trigger special affliction from abilities? Like Blind Strikes?

[BUG] One weapon is able to be copied to two slots
Take a look at the screenshot, I only have one sabre but I copied it to both mainhand and offhand in 2nd sets. And I can dual wielding one weapon LOL.

Does Deadfire fail to match classes with their lore? If so, how to fix it?
Should it be a raw lash or what type of element should it be

Spell triggers for self-buffing battlemages.
I haven't been playing POE 1 for long time, do u remember if there are such AI in POE 1?

Some simple math about why Helwalker/Berserker rocks, and rogue sucks
Trickers has only 20% sneak attack bonus, that almost kills the only basic damage bonus they have. So u give rogue a large shield and make him a tank, that's doable, but they still...not good strikers.

Spell triggers for self-buffing battlemages.
I'm playing a Battlemage build in Beta and find that it's really lame that u need to click all these instant self-buffing spell every battle. Infuse With Vital Essence -> Arcane Veil -> Spirit Shield -> Disciplined Strike. Every fight need to do these for my battlemage. It would be nice if the AI can handle these or we can have some spells like Spell Sequencer. I kinda miss the spell trigger in BG2, where u can set up like cast Stoneskin/Mirror image when u see enemies. Indeed spell Sequencer and spell trigger are the miracle that makes wizard in BG2 shines. For example the 'spike trap' where u store Skull trap spell release all 6 at once.

Some simple math about why Helwalker/Berserker rocks, and rogue sucks
Yeah Rogues have some single target abilities, Finishing Blow is a +50% basic damage for one full attack. That doesn't change they lack Attack Speed, and the other two Damage Multpliers, and I doubt this 3 Guile cost ability will make any difference(I'd rather use Guile for Shadowing Beyond). Comparing with Barbaric blow, it's a 2 Rage ability and is Refundable if u upgrade it, doing +100% critical damage(if my memory serves) and large range carnage. Talking about DoT, that might be useful in Boss fight, I didn't do any test on DoT builds but a build focus on DoT might work. But Imo DoT builds is better on tanks who cannot do a lot spike damages. And I wanna mention again that Riposte only works with builds that have high deflection, and I'm only talk about single class here, u really need to multiclass to make riposte work.

Resolve! Huh, What is it good for?
Accuracy is rolled against all 4 defenses while Deflection is just one of them so ... kinda yes. Looks like suckage of Resolve and crappyness of casters had been dealt with in a single blow. Good job Obsidian! Yeah so the conclusion seems to be Deflection being inferior to the bonus other stats provides, and that's why Res is not a good stats.
-
Resolve! Huh, What is it good for?
Why nobody dump Per, is Accuracy more important than Deflection?
-
Resolve! Huh, What is it good for?
This change suddenly makes Priest specially Druid much more powerful, they have deflection, spell boost and heal in one stats, a no brainer for Druid now.
-
Resolve! Huh, What is it good for?
A Max Res Wizard will have higher deflection now. Imagining a wand + small shield, max Res, Arcane Veil wizard, kinda hard to be touched. Comparing before, a 18 Mig 3 Res Wizard and now 3 Mig, 18 Res Wizard, it is 15 deflection difference, and the damage is not affected. 15 Deflection is a lot imo.

SAWYERISM BETRAYED - Might turns back into Strength, Resolve will affect spell damage
dunehunter replied to Infinitron's topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Well this is just Beta, remember in POE 1 beta attribute is changed a lot? Devs are doing experiment to see what is the best way to handle them. I maintain neutral to the change because previously Res is a dump stats for me. Now it's hurt more to dump Res.

Resolve! Huh, What is it good for?
No I think it's spell only, Barbarian abilities are not spells.
- Attack Speed bonus from different potions stacks

The current, sad, state of casters
dunehunter replied to molotov.'s topic in Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I agree caster should have long cast time, but why they have long recovery time too? I assume a warrior will need a break after sword swing, but casters are just chanting magic spells and they don't need to recover after casting. I assume in previous game the caster has faster cast time so for balance concern they also have same recovery time as warriors, but in POE 2 they are downtuned to have longer casting time, then this old recovery mechanism need to be updated too.

Resolve! Huh, What is it good for?
I will dump Constitution then! There's no endurance/health anyway!

Resolve! Huh, What is it good for?
Just read the twitter and hmmm not sure if I like that change.

Some simple math about why Helwalker/Berserker rocks, and rogue sucks
Hey molotov thx for reply, I'm just talking about single class here, yeah I'm pretty sure a multiclass rogue can use riposte at its full potential and can be a strong combo.
-
Ciphers - focus fills up too slow?
I don't understand why you need recovery time after casting honestly So if you swing a big sword, u need some break to recover it's fine. But you are chanting a magic spell! Are you letting your mouth to have a break?? Casting should have long cast time, but not long recover time!!!

Some simple math about why Helwalker/Berserker rocks, and rogue sucks
Yeah I agree Paladin is pretty strong in POE 2, sorry I forget to put it in the xml file because at beginning I was thinking about all striker! But Paladin has some awesome starting abilities for sure. Bleak Walker synergy really good with Rogue, put a dagger in your mainhand and sabre in offhand. Enjoy the Sicken affliction from the dagger, and an incoming deadly Sneak Attack + FoD
