Are you on Steam? The backer achievement does count for 100% Steam achievements. Blizzard have feats of strength achievements which a lot of people can't get. eg. Beta achievement for Diablo 3. Other games like World of Tanks have in game items like their beta tanks. Not sure if you can do a Feat of Strength achievement in Steam and not count to the 100%

That truly is odd. I have three World of Tanks alts and Wargaming didn't care how many people had. Good to know that I won't create a second account otherwise I'll get banned. Bizarre.

Yeah it is 1.04. Paradox needs to test the installers, do their QA, press the discs, package the goods, and finally send them out to everyone. Quite a few thousand I imagine. That may take some time. Meanwhile patch 1.05 comes out (and maybe 1.06 by the time everyone gets their discs) and will have to be downloaded anyway. This is what most of the backers wanted from the poll - to have the discs come out later. (I was not one of them) Personally, I think the poll should have stated that if you weren't receiving a Collector Editions, then the boxed goods wouldn't go out like the CE's did and will be sent together after the game is released with the disc and a time frame will be given at a later stage. It was nearly two months after the poll (12th Feb) that it was clarified by Obsidian (10th Apr) that the discs wouldn't be sent until 1.04 (17th Apr) went live. And even then QA had to be done on the installers and discs.

Sawyer on vacation?
Hiro Protagonist II replied to MotelOK's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)
Oh I know. But you were asking and I was giving an answer where the word completionist may come from. It's an assumption on my part of course. I have no problem people using the word completionist even if the word doesn't exist in an official dictionary. I know what they mean. -
Sawyer on vacation?

I'm guessing it's a portmanteau of completion and completist. -
Sawyer has a philosophy of either double it or cut it in half and that appears to have rubbed onto the development team. I believe that comes from Sid Meier. So the 50% focus has been halved to 25% in line with that reasoning. Maybe in the next patch, it will go up slightly. I agree with you that it didn't need such a drastic cut.

BG2 does incorporate both SoA and ToB. Really Gromnir, not only you're being obtuse but you've supported this yourself by posting pictures and links supporting this very statement. Funny you say I'm being repetitive but then you admitted yourself in this thread that you're being repetitive. 'tis sad to see Gromnir go down the rabbit hole of madness with posting pictures and links showing BG2 incorporate both SoA and ToB and then argue against it.

This has been brought up many times with feedback to Obsidian during the beta. Every location including going in and out of a house is a different map. Going into a house is similar to going to a new wilderness map or new city map (eg, travelling from Copperlane to Brackenbury). It's not like the IE games where you can have half your party outside and half inside a house because you can't split your party over two maps. And it's why you get exploration xp because you've now entered a new map. I find the design quite odd and they should have done the same as the IE games.

More noise from the master of evasiveness. BG2 incorporates both SoA and Tob. But we know you are stoopid to understand this even though both SoA and ToB has Baldurs Gate II on title of box. And when people say there are high level abilities in BG2, you keep on saying there isn't even though the rest of the world knows it to be true. You're the one saying ToB isn't BG2. twit And speaking of definitions. yutz n. An affluent, usually city-dwelling, professional in his or her 20s and 30s; a prosperous and ambitious young professional. *chortle*

Did bg2 include have high-level abilities? Yes, it did. Given the context that I was pointing out that ToB is part of BG2, then not only your argument is suspect, but is intellectually dishonest. Hiro was accurate with his observations and factual. Gromnir is being obtuse, evasive, circular, repetitive as well as being dishonest. Perhaps in future Gromnir can accept facts, but at this stage Gromnir can't. Until that day, Gromnir is still on his playground roundabout. One day, you might join the rest of humanity in the concept known as reality. *snort*
