  1. Hey Atheosis, move the **** on already. Everybody can state their opinion and some people don't enjoy this game. Get over it.
  2. I always see this come up all the time. No one has ever asked for a perfect game.
  3. I really don't understand people complaining about other people who don't like the game. I really don't understand people complaining about other people who complain about people who don't like this game... Really, I don't understand why people are complaining about people who were making an observation about other people about other people who don't like the game.
  4. I really don't understand people complaining about other people who don't like the game.
  5. The game is quite easy on hard and the only enjoyment I'm getting out of playing this is doing unconventional and sometimes stupid things in encounters just to mix it up. And it's during these encounters that I'm finding anomalous, bewildering and at times interesting patterns in the A.I.. When I arrived at Twin Elms, I was already halfway through level 11 and hit the cap not long after that. I'm slowly trudging my way through Act 3 in Twin Elms, but the side quests are pretty meh. And I can't recall the last time Durance or GM had something to say. The companions have been pretty quiet.
  6. Now you're being obtuse Gromnir. And it's what you've been doing in the last few pages of this thread. We've had multiple people point out your fallacies and you can step off your treadmill of delusion.
  7. No one has asked for more D&D in PoE in this thread. Fact. I like the different types of ammunition in the IE games where I can have my characters shoot fireballs from their bow then instantly change to poison arrows then change to something else because I have three quiver slots where I can place three different types of ammunition. How is this only D&D? It's not. It's part of the IE games. Just because it's part of the IE games doesn't make it D&D.
  8. Yes, I recall doing the Skaen Temple once in the beta. Once was enough. Going through it again in the game was a chore, only saved by me being able steam roll everything and get it over and done as fast as possible.
  9. I didn't know there was an endless quiver in BG1? Oh wait, there wasn't.
  10. Incorrect. Beta testers test games and give feedback including suggestions. And that's what happened in the beta forum. Feedback including suggestions were given. The dev's responded with implementing some of those suggestions. And there was more than one person giving feedback, and Sensuki was at the forefront with a lot of feedback. Also, there were backers who asked Sensuki whether he would test certain things and at times he would create threads. For myself, I like to exploit, find patterns, break, clock or get kill screens in games. This goes back to the Atari 2600 days with finding patterns and kill screens which there were at the time. I like to show the ridiculousness of things, stuff that doesn't make sense and design flaws as I've done with PoE. But I really don't have the time to go into in depth reasons why certain enemies do what they do. They just do. Just like I can tank and spank a lot of the shades and shadows and fampyrs and they will never go to my nude ranged characters. So I might show a screen shot as I've done many times in the beta forums or a short video of different things. I gave feedback at the ridiculousness of exploration xp with skipping down a town street, walking in and out of houses getting xp. And even more ridiculous with going up and down stairs in houses. I go up and down the stairs and get xp. Whee! As a beta tester, I'll also give feedback including suggestions, flaws and whatever else I feel at the time. It's up to the dev's to sort out what they deem important and what isn't. If the dev's feel that Cyan circles aren't important for neutral NPC's, then I will back up anyone including Sensuki to have that changed. I believe the dev's are simply wrong on this decision. And I'll call out all the degenerative gameplay that's been introduced in PoE that never existed in the IE games. So am I now trying to redesign the game by having cyan circles around neutral NPCs? Well tough **** for anyone who doesn't like it. You can call it redesigning the game and make out it's some derogatory term if you like, I'll still call it feedback. Ah yes. The lack of arrows. The lack of choice between a detonation arrow, a fire arrow, a poison arrow and the various other arrows. I don't see the problem with having all those types of arrows in the IE games. I thought it was great that my character with a bow could shoot fireballs and then instantly change to poison arrows and then change to biting arrows because I had three different types of arrows in the quiver slots. Interesting that you would forego all that and go with the infinite ammo in PoE that never runs out. And in PoE, if your bow does fire damage but you want to do cold damage but still want to be able to keep fire for other enemies, you have to swap with another bow. Yep, you have to keep an assortment of weapons for different types of damage. But that's okay, because at least we don't have the different types of arrows from the IE games. All that's done is swap different arrows with different bows. Positive reviews doesn't mean that the game doesn't have any faults, the dev's were right and the beta testers were wrong with trying to have things changed. There's still a lot of good suggestions, especially with cosmetic changes that could make the game better. But that's okay, they're just an angry crowd and we can ignore them. Lets ignore the feedback to make the game better because the dev's were right and won the design argument. The reviews proved it.
  11. You seem to be as butthurt as TheisEjsing. And no, Sensuki didn't think he earned the right to design the game. Sensuki came up with suggestions to improve the game, a lot of backers agreed with his suggestions. Some didn't. Obsidian ignored a lot of those suggestions and we have a game that could have been better than what it is. eg. Suggestions like cyan for neutral NPCs which is now part of the IE mod. Fact. Can we get back to the actual topic.
  12. Going back to that old thread I linked was pretty interesting. So many issues that were brought up is still in the game. It was pretty funny min-maxing characters, especially characters that I dumped stats on to see if they played differently to characters who may have had maxed out stats like INT.
  13. Matt, this has been brought up so many times that Obsidian are not listening. Well they might listen but they will go with what they feel is right. Doesn't matter what you or I think. For example. Lets go back to 26th September 2014. I posted about grazes and charm with a min-maxed Cipher with 3 INT back in the Beta. I've always considered grazes as hits
  14. Sounds like the one who's **** talking is you. I didn't know this was about Sensuki? How about discuss things like the review instead of **** talking other people.
  15. Are you saying the Codex is responsible for developers being reluctant to make old school rpgs because developers think the Codex will declare it the worst thing ever?
  16. I don't know about PotD, but haven't seen that at all on hard since 1.04. I've been tanking and spanking on hard with mostly one tank (did have Eder but swapped him out for Sagani to finish her quest) and nude ranged characters. Nothing has changed at all imo. In fact, once you get to around level 10 onwards, the game becomes easy mode and tanking and spanking makes it easier. Biggest surprise for me so far was the Fampyr bounty I did recently. Tanked and spanked and encounter was over in seconds.
  17. I've found it humorous that grazes can sometimes do more damage than a hit or crit.
  18. I agree. I always stay at inns including the one in Dyrford with the +2 Mig, +2 Con, +2 Int. The Stronghold is a joke.
  19. How can you not be Scrooge McDuck swimming in a bank of copper? Hell, I have all 8 hirelings at the Stronghold so I see people walking around just to make it feel like it's inhabited. I know it's a waste of money but my copper has never gone down. It's only ever gone up. Here's a short video where I go from 102K to 132K copper. And this is before the end of Act 2.
  20. Well there is a reason why you can't get to Athkatla in Act 4 or 5 because you're at Spellhold or the Underdark. You've sailed away from Athkatla on a ship to the Pirate island. That's just basic comprehension. However, in PoE, there's no reason why you shouldn't be able to go back to Defiance Bay prior to Twin Elms. You can travel along the country side for months before getting to Twin Elms, even walking past Defiance Bay multiple times and nope, City maps are still greyed out and can't click on them. But the moment you step on the first map in Twin Elms, Defiance Bay is magically open for business. In fact, you can turn around and go back to Defiance Bay and the city streets are pristine, people walking around going about their business. Going to the Crucible Knights, it appears nothing happened and they're just going through the motions like everyone else in the city. Dunstan the smithy mentions nothing about what happens in those weeks and months when the city was closed. And where did all the barricades, the fires, the scorched pavement go? So no, greying out the Defiance Bay maps served no purpose. Or maybe it was a way for the game to force you onto Twin Elms? No player, you can't go back to this city until you get to Twin Elms! Once you step on that map, then you can come back into the city.
  21. No. Can you stop telling lies? If Acts 4 & 5 walled you off from literally every place prior, then how come I can go back and do quests from Act 2 AFTER I do Act 5? Just sayin'.
