  1. Eli is past his prime and he isn't getting any better. You need a new QB within 3 years at the latest and I don't think Giants will be in this good draft position the next three years. So picking a QB would have been perfect this year. Let the guy learn from Eli for a couple a years and then make the transition. And I'm not speaking for any Giants fans. I'm just stating my opinion on a team and on a draft. No need to get so defensive about it. Anyways, Packers. Can't complain. We needed a CB (as usual) and Denzel Ward was off the board already (as expected). So getting the second best one and a couple of draft picks is pretty good business.
  2. Defense was their biggest weakness last season, so that's what I would go for. But it's hard to project that far down. And I'm not really sure if the DLine is the biggest weakness or if it's the secondary.
  3. What is much and what is little? It's relative terms. Play the game and get an actual feel for it before you get insulted by something you haven't experienced yet.
  4. Most mock drafts are projecting Barkley to Giants. I just can't believe Giants won't pick a QB when they have the 2nd draft pick. I mena Eli hasn't been really good for years and he isn't getting better either. I see QB as a must for Giants and they should go with Rosen. I think he can learn a lot from Eli during 1 or even 2 seasons. I would be devestated if I was a Giants fan and they picked anything else but a QB with their first pick.
  5. Vote with you money then and don't buy the game if you don't like how this is handled.
  6. Well, just because you have emotions doesn't mean you have to blurt out the first thing that comes into your mind. You could have said you were disappointed perhaps. Calling them lazy is insulting. But to adress your point, my suggestion is that you calm down and play the actual game first before going all bananas about it. It could be just as bad as you imagine but it could also be a lot better. Make a fair judgement when you have the game in your hands.
  7. What's even worse is that, prior to Deadfire, there was a game called Pillars of Eternity. It's the same setting and same main character and everything. Basically they chopped up one big game in two, just for profit. We could have had one super cool game. Now we have to fork up major bucks for two game, for the sole reason that Faergus Urquhart needs money to fund his fourth Porsche.
  8. My advice is to forget about the beta and sit tight for the release coming in a couple of weeks (the beta is just a small slice of the game and being so close to the final release, jumping into the beta at this point isn't that big of a deal).
  9. Not sure they are what I had hoped for (the details are a bit unclear) but I will still buy them on release, to support the company and the franchise.
  10. It happens when you have to deal with unreasonable people that sometimes even offend you instead of trying to understand what you are actually saying. Doesn't take much to avoid these things, just respect your interlocutor and have a bit of common sense. To be honest I'm impressed that he (and other people in the industry) is usually pretty calm and willing to explain even when he's a target of random hatred. I mean there are places on the web where people do just that, unload the frustration in their lives (look at a famous RPG site that anyone knows...). I get that. I'm just surprised that Josh seemed to care in the sense that he gave the replies he did. I mean he's been in the business for so long that I thought he would have the common sense to just ignore the trolls. And that is why I said he must be tired, because he took the bait.
  11. Wow. Sure sounds like the guy could use some rest.
  12. Yeah, but you still have to manually download the portraits and put them in the correct folder.
  13. Which portraits are you refering to? If you mean all the portraits posted in this thread (and the other portrait threads), then no, they won't automatically show up in the game. You have to manually download them and place them in the correct game folder.
  14. Yeah, you can assume it being any race you'd prefer. I just meant that the character is in fact a gnome in their DnD campaign.
  15. There are no gnomes in POE, but the portrait looks like an elf. They should have went with a dwarf or orlan, imho. Apparently this is fan service, so it is a gnome, if I have understood it correctly. It's fan service to those following Vox Machina who wants to put those (DnD) characters into the PoE world. So if one is not into that you either don't download the portraits or pretend it's an elf.
  16. Yep. Seems like he's hitting the pause button after Deadfire ships.
  17. Big and small are relative terms of course. I found it big in a sense that it stood out, just like Xoti's and Ydwin's lips did. But as pointed out above, it could be related to the fact that the portraits have been created based off of the voice actress above and she does have a large lower lip that stands out a bit.
  18. Wait... What are those portraits? Just new player portraits or like ship crew? I must've missed something. It's the Critical role VA thing. I think they are making portraits out of the characters they (Critital role) had for their Vox Machina campaign. If I understood it correctly. I didn't know what they were until a week ago.
  19. Can't say Miami (Tannehill) or Seahawks (rebuilding) scare me that much. Minnesota is scary, but we must face them twice every year so not much to fret about that. But you are absolutely right. A lot of things will be different when the season actually gets going. Maybe New England will end up being the easy one in the end.
  20. The non-revised Ydwin and Xoti both had lower lips that "stood out" in a jarring way. It's not as bad in the revised portraits though. But yeah, maybe both those portraits are based off of voice actors, who have large lower lips.
  21. Nice! Though I notice it's a big lower lip again. They seem to have a thing for that.
  22. What do you say about the schedule for your team? As for Packers, I think they've got a pretty good one. Rams and Patriots in week 8 and 9 won't be fun, but other than that, I found it pretty manageable (all under the assumption we get the secondary somewhat fixed during this off season).
  23. You realize they can drop more than one picture per day, right? Some of the codes came from magazines which had serveral pictures/codes in one issue. So there's plenty of time to drop all the remaining codes. Wouldn't be much of a scavanger hunt if it was too easy either.
  24. It looks like a young Griving Mother.
