  1. Hey! Some of us aren't grognards and prefer playing in Aaron Rodger's mode (relaxed mode).
  2. That is true, but I feel like it's a little bit of a matter of principle. All other plattforms they interact on, they are in the hands of others (as far as rules and guidelines go), this is literally the only plattform which they own and can dictate the excact rules they want to work within. And this seems to have became the last place they want to touch (even though they seemingly lurk here). It's a shame.
  3. I'm not saying it something great in itself, but it seems like a plausible explanation for what the codes are all about.
  4. I don't really see a problem if a handfull of people headed back to RPG Codex and bitched about censorship because they spew poison there all the time about basically ever new RPG that comes out anyway. So PoE would have been blasted on RPG Codex regardless of how some posters had been treated here.
  5. I don't understand, where is that screenshot from? But a scavanger hunt surely seems plausible. https://forums.obsidian.net/topic/96748-how-much-dlc-is-planned-for-poe-2/page-3?do=findComment&comment=1994662 Got it! Thanks! Yeah, seems very plausible as a scavanger hunt. Would fit well with the pirate theme.
  6. I don't think anyone was advocating that the devs prioritize this forum in front of completing Deadfire. So kinda pointless argument on your behalf. That I can agree upon. Twitter probably gets more exposure than this forum and as such is smarter to focus on from a PR standpoint (though I'm not sure what you mean by police twitter, it's not like they can delete or moderate other people's tweets). But it's not like they only focus on twitter. Josh posts on Something awful, has his tumblr account and there's a lot of devs active on discord and twitter for example. So basically they are all over the place but not on their own forum. So you say it has no benefit posting here, but somehow it does on a lot of other social platforms? It's contradictive. Cause as you remember they did post here and yes, they did give up on it because of the hostility, not because it was pointless in itself. And hence why I advocate a sterner stance from the mods, so the devs feel just as comfortable posting here as they do on other platforms. It's not like they would be forced to post in every thread. And back before PoE was released they posted in several different threads which was all informative and interesting. The point is; it has worked before, so why not again? I know it sucked, I saw it myself. And that is a perfect case where the mods should have put the boot to the ass of the trolls.
  7. Yea, that's not it. I can see it over here though: https://pillarsofeternity.gamepedia.com/File:Wood-elf-female-portraits.jpg Looks kinda unfinished, hmm... Ah, yes. There it is. I'm not totally senile after all. Thought I was for a minute.
  8. Yeah, that's the one that fooled me, which I found similar.
  9. It sure was in PoE1 and in the Deadfire beta (not sure about the latest beta version, but the version prior to that atleast). I'm certain of it. Well, if you find it, please post it here cuz I must be blind or something. I will check this evening (if no one beats me to it). I was dead wrong. There's a similar portrait but it's actually not the same one.
  10. I think adding some more lighter tones to Deadfire won't hurt it, compared to PoE which felt overall very gloomy. Playing the beta a few times, I never found it goofy however.
  11. Or it was implied that he was. I'm not sure on the quote, somewhere on twitter I think (or in an article). Sorry if I got this all wrong. And I've derailed this thread into romances. Pardons to everyone who thinks this is uninteresting.
  12. I'd have to say it's purely a physical thing at this point. She looks so big and bad ass. Like she can slap anyone around. Her personality might be something completely different of course. A love triangle with Aloth and Iselmyr could be very interesting though, I'd give you that. The fish thing seems to trigger a few souls, yes. Don't ask me what the deal about that is though.
  13. I don't have any examples on the top of my head I'm afraid. And it would really be the devs who should say it was this and that thread (or certain posts perhaps). That is the point I'm trying to make. When/if the freaks crawl back, the mods have to take a stricter approach. I can't guarantee it will work, but it would sure be worth a try in my opinion. The devs might think otherwise of course.
  14. Yeah, the Safiya romance was pretty subpar unfortunately (in line with romances in the NWN2 OC). And the hag mother was horrible, indeed!
  15. Indeed he did. I loved it and it got my hopes up (I had no idea who you could romance and not at that point) but to no avail. I actually mailed MCA about it back in the days, telling him what a great character they had created and how frustrated it had left me. He took it as a compliment. I wish I could second that, but I'm all aboard the Maia train.

  17. I want to clarify that I find the forum environment as of right now pretty ok. If the devs came back today I don't think anyone would start hurling feces as them. But that can change and that is where the mods would need to step in. Cause it is a fact it derailed some time ago to the extent that basically every developer left. And I'm not only talking about Josh. There were plenty of others posting here too and it would be nice to see them back (along with all the new faces too of course).
  18. If there ever was a need for a fist bump emoji, this is the time. :fistbump:
  19. It sure was in PoE1 and in the Deadfire beta (not sure about the latest beta version, but the version prior to that atleast). I'm certain of it.
  20. I don't really understand what you mean. We were talking about the types of threads and posts that made the devs evade this forum. I don't think you nor this thread are part of that, but only the devs know for certain. The point is, the devs feeling comfortable posting here is more important than certain individuals posting whatever crap they want in the name of trolling or whatever (and no, this isn't directed specifically at you, SonicMage117).
  21. Though on the other hand, what is such forum worth it it's so toxic that the devs dare not post themselves on it? I think stricter mods are a possible thing if they wanted to.
