I finally finished up a complete play-through Deadfire. It was a more enjoyable experience this time since I didn't prioritize chasing Eothas and just went where the story took me. Now I'm off to do the same with P:WotR. Yeah, it's almost retro gaming at this point.

Editor FreshLook on the Vault has been doing some interesting work to enhance the game appearance: https://forum.neverwintervault.org/t/project-fl/409 This would work with the existing game engine, adding ambient occlusion, ground fog, fixes to transparency, water depth, improved shadows, and multiple light sources for grass. Unfortunately, I think this is a long way from release.

It would have been more interesting tactically if sailing in opposite directions ended up putting more distance between the two ships.

I got in a weird state on this forum so that I couldn't even like a post or use the contact tool. It either told me I was blocked or the system was in a bad state. The only fix was to clear out my cookies for the last month.

Here it's another winter snow adventure. My exit is an uphill sheet of ice that's about to get even worse with overnight freezing rain. That could knock out the power here, and it may not thaw until after Christmas. Just great. 🥶
