  1. Dude looks great. I doubt people make million dollar games "to troll".
  2. Already been done a while ago for Jagged Alliance: Flashback. Plus, The Collective is nothing new. I was actually wondering when they were going to start their first crowdfunder, since they started up about a year ago. I see nothing wrong with this. Crowdfunding is not "ours".
  3. The developers are not personally accountable to you. To clarify, you quoted BAdler's answer, meaning you were not looking for anything but to start a fight.
  4. I don't. Some of us don't want to play multiplayer, and just want to play by ourselves. There are plenty of multiplayer only games out there, so why should single player gamers not have games to play? You can play Watch Dogs fine, AC4 fine, Original Sin fine, Battleblock Theater fine. Baldur's Gate fine. All have multiplayer features. Multiplayer just means other people have the ability to hop on if you so choose. I don't see why it's so horrible to have that option. Let's put aside the doom and gloom for just one minute and talk about this realistically instead of jumping straight into "every game will force you to play with - gasp - other people and it will ruin my experience!". It might. It comes down to a matter of developers having to spend resources to implement it and make sure it works properly. I'm sure they've considered giving us the option to run it in multiplayer, but if they can't make it work properly, they shouldn't compromise the single-player experience in order to satisfy the few people who are likely to play it as multiplayer. And if they cannot make it work, they obviously shouldn't do it. It's the reason MP is not in BioShock Infinite.
  5. Why don't you just show us what you showed to them and then we'll make our own great articles and oppinions. You still have your opinion.
  6. Plus, Feargus outright said in an interview that they had just enough money for the release window. Only if you place a rose-colored view on what exactly the devs are entitled to do with it.
  7. In my experience, "bad characters" just equal players trying to purposefully break the game and/or find ways they can't roleplay in order to complain about "the lack of choice". We all know that guy that wants to play as a serial killer.
  8. Oh right, let's not forget that anytime co-op or MP is in a game, it takes away from content. There's no possible way for the game to be designed with those features in mind. Why in the world would the developers want you to have fun with your friends? How dare they give you the option of playing with other people. Having choice in video games is bad! Even Baldur's Gate had multiplayer, some of my favorite times were playing no pause games with friends. But - but - that was - DIFFERENT.
  9. He's got a fantastic voice. I would not doubt it if he became a member of the Voice Over Club anytime soon.
  10. Yes. It's the first Kickstarter game that actually gave me hope for non-established company Kickstarters.
  11. I got 15 hours in - everyone is at level 10 - and then I realize that my saves will just be wiped come August.
  12. I wouldn't use Blizzard as the Everyman Example. I most certainly would not use Valve.
  13. I actually look forward to the day that single player RPGs become a thing of the past. There's literally no reason past budgetary concerns this gen to not have some sort of connectivity feature. The world is connected, and not only that, it is digital. Look at Original Sin. Your entire party can be made up of other players if you want. Are you honestly going to tell me that the multiplayer mode hurt the single player campaign at all?
  14. Actually based on the Front Line update thread a high int Barbarian could not only be viable, but may actually be a very strong stat choice for them... The most deadly foes are the smart and strong ones.
  15. You know. I've never understood why people say MMOs are cash grabs. By definition, they take more work than a regular game. Also: referring to making any product as "sucking on the money titties" betrays a vast misunderstanding of how the world works.
  16. Sounding great! Warrior abilities are exactly as I thought they would be! Great artwork and concept as well! *eye roll*
  17. Guys. This is important. If you have not voted for the next Community Choice, do not under any circumstances vote for Pack #1. No offense to the other devs, their games might be great. But Delver is a part of that pack, and it is barely even out of prototype. Let's not encourage this type of BS. There are very few instances where I will say Early Access is a bad idea, and this is one of them. This BS gets greenlit, what's more, gets the opportunity to be in a sale? If you really want to send a message, do not let people get away with this crud. At $2.50, it would sell like hotcakes. It does not deserve to be on Steam, let alone on sale. Do not vote for it.
  18. Apparently it wasn't Fargo, but a mod I was led to believe was Fargo. Either way, Voice of God.
  19. Short answer: WL2 isn't out yet and neither is Eternity, so that's why you don't have a key. Long Answer: read the official thread.
  20. From Fargo over at the WL2 forums: Our usage of Steam DRM is a temporary measure we’ve used to ensure version compliance during the beta run. We will remove Steam DRM around the time of final release, so that the Steam version of Wasteland 2 will no longer require the launching or presence of Steam to run. Kickstarter backers should note all tiers $30 and up already have multiple copies so you will be able to grab a GOG.com key at launch. If you run into any problems with key activations, digital retailer choices etc, just contact us through the Ranger Center after release, we will work with you to resolve any issues.
