the water is finally back and i had the chance to wash myself. one thing i learned from this is that my hair smell like vomit if left unwashed for more than 3 days. however my luck would not allow me to enjoy something without giving me some pain to go along with it, so when i was helping my father cut some logs, under one of them was a wasp nest and i got stung in the ear. good thing i'm not allergic and i have quite high natural resistance to all sorts of drugs and poisons so besides the initial pain there were no other effects like swelling

Can you continue the game after finishing the main story? I was under the impression that I should do the DLCs before the main story ends, because... it would end the game. they had stated since before release that you can keep playing after the end of the main story to complete whatever you left undone. they hinted that the ending you reached would make a difference in the way the world is when you go roam it after but i don't know if they implemented that

in my case i get top quality organic veal at a lower price than standard commercial veal because i buy the meat directly from the farmer. and how do i know it's organic? it's the perk of living in a rural area and being able to see the "soon to be food calf" grazing along it's cow mom in a field. this farmer has only a few cows and so when he has a calf to butcher he calls the people he knows and gathers orders for what part of it everyone wants and how many pieces and then cuts it up and delivers it. he makes more than selling the calf to the "professionals" and we can get good meat at almost half the price we would buy it in a shop.

4th day without water and finally they told us what's wrong. the pipes that bring water to town are clogged because of salt (the water around here has high mineral salt content) and they dig them out to clean them. they should be done by tomorrow

you should check your card maker's site to see if they have an utility for tweaking and monitoring the card, most do, and install it. it will allow you to know what happens with the temperature and the fans at any given moment

i know there was this problem when crimson first came out but after an update or 2 there have been no reports of it. it's probably an incompatibility with some other GPU related software (i.e asus GPU tweak)... or lack of such software. in my case GPU tweak is overriding the driver settings about clock/fan speeds and any problem that the driver may have on this regard is not showing.

i've been using crimson from day 1... never had that problem on my HD7770 and neither did my brother on his R7 260x

it's been so long since we had any news of it that i had forgotten it even exists

i don't know about you but the thing i hate the most in a game is not it being bad... it's when i see wasted potential! if it was just a bad game i could just ignore it but when i see a game that could be so much more if they put a minimum of effort in it's development but they chose not to, i feel like punching the members of the development team and to be honest, i think that 9/10 games (at least in the AAA class) in the last 10 years have this problem actually, maybe this is the reason us older gamers keep going back to BG and Deus Ex and Quake. nostalgia may be a factor but i think back then when someone made a game he either made a bad game or a good game but almost never a game that "could have been great if"

we know why there is no water: they closed the valves. what we don't know and nobody bothered to inform anyone about is the reason they closed the valves

2nd day without water for the entire town and not a single word on why. at least for drinking water we can buy bottles but the problem is that it's hot and we can't have a shower and even more importantly we can't wash dishes or flush the toilet. fortunately it rained yesterday so we had a chance to fill some buckets but if they don't fix it soon that water won't last

i'll get back to playing witcher 3 some time next month when i will have gotten me a RX480

a while ago i got the Drak Forces/Jedi Knight collection on gog and i tried to play Dark Forces 1 that i had never played before. runs fine, but it's age shows in every aspect. the graphics, while OLD, aren't all that bad and i got used to them pretty soon but the controls are a mess and without the minimal customization... the various functions are spread all over the keyboard and the lack of vertical aiming coupled with turrets on the ceiling makes certain parts impossible to pass without enough health to just run through the fire. also the lack of strafing and vertical aiming makes moving through certain spots or jumping a chore since i never know for sure how close to the edge i am

to love-ru is an example

well i don't expect it to be rivaling the 1070, though it would be really funny if it did, but compared to my current card it's a huge leap. some numbers HD7770: 1TFLOP, 1GB G5, 128bit bus, 1020MHz, 85W RX480: 5.5TFLOPS, 8GB G5, 256bit bus, 1266MHz, 90-100W if not 5x, 4x for sure, though i think even more than 5x is not impossible

i was looking at the numbers and from what i see the RX480 has exactly 5x the performance of my current card (HD7770) with the same power consumption and almost the same price i payed for it back in the day. can't wait for the end of the month.

my comfort zone when it comes to temperatures is 16-25C

it's only the end of May but it's already so hot that i go around the house half naked and im still sweating buckets. last year the weather wasn't very hot until July but this year summer came early.

there is one thing i don't like in overwatch: the so detailed background stories about the characters and the world. it feels like Blizzard is saying "look what a great single player campaign we could have made... but we won't, suck it"

i actually get how most of it works, the main issue is that i have a union at 50/1400hp and 130/130ap with 2 members capable of using healing magic and the last capable of using healing items and there is no heal option among the available orders. they are hurt, they have the means to heal but the game just decided that "nope, no heals for you this round because F.you" the battle system is a slot machine inside a slot machine and it makes you roll a dice to see if you actually get to pull the lever of that slot machine

The Last Remnant the game is good overall but there is one thing about the battle system that i just can't stand: you can't give precise orders to your characters! characters in this game enter battle in groups called unions with each union having up to 5 characters. the combined hp of the characters makes up the hp of the union and the union lives and dies as one (i.e if a character has 300hp and the total hp of the union he's in is 1000, even if enemies hit that character for 900 damage he will stay up as long as the union has hp left) but certain status effects can affect individual characters. the problem with the battle system though is that you can give generic orders to a union like "attack with magic" but you can't decide what action each character will perform. what's worse though, is that often you NEED a union to perform a specific task in it's turn (i.e use healing spells or items), the union has the action points/resources to perform it but the related command is not available, so the union ends up dead... and while there is reviving magic and items, there is no way to use them unless the game decides to allow it

you see, the plot of the games was a generic excuse for the battles of the campaign... and most was just backstory and lore, not actual plot. of course the main detractor of points when it comes to movies based on games is that the game offers an extra dimension in your entertainment called game-play that is lost when it becomes a movie

this is really strange. it's almost 24 hours since the last time i had something to eat and for some reason i don't feel hungry at all i skipped diner yesterday because i didn't feel hungry, i skipped breakfast today because i didn't feel hungry and it's almost lunch time now and i still don't feel hungry... usually i feel hungry all the time and i have to suppress my urge to go eat every hour or so

there was a giveaway last night sponsored by blizzard/nvidia where 5 people could get a 1080. i hope im one of the 5 (results will be revealed tonight). a free vga (and an expensive one at that) would really save me the trouble of waiting (and paying) for a more reasonably priced card.
