that dlc boss of ds2 is so hard. im a level 100 sorcerer, i summon 2 phantoms to help, they both die, i run out of spells and he still has about 1/4 hp left
-
this reminds me of another trailer about it being a sitcom. that was really funny EDIT http://it.ign.com/forum/attachments/1456074585201-jpg.9017/

I think they tied the key to the motherboard now, probably the MAC address. yes, that's how it works. if you have an OEM key and you change mo-bo you're done, with a retail key their customer service can unbind it from the previous mo-bo so you can use it in the new. well i found a genuine win10 OEM key for 20 euro so i dont really have to deal with that stuff anymore. worst case scenario: in a few years when i will get a new mo-bo i will get a new key for another 20 (40 for 2 OEM keys beats 200 for a retail key)

ok, i've had enough of that cheating game. the first dark souls was hard but fair, ds2 is outright cheating. i mean i get attacked by an enemy with a vertical hit, i roll out of the way, when his attack is complete im about 45 degrees to the right of where the attack landed and i still get hit. that stuff never happened in ds1 even in high ping pvp, much less with an ai opponent

i dont have the game but i think it may be more of a pvp thing

I agree with that. Overal the changes seem to be good (I already knew the base game in and out, though), but some placed enemies felt really weird. For example in one of the early areas there suddenly is one of these huge hippos right next to the main road. I really don't get why they had to place this one there. From a gameplay point of view it makes little sense to me. the hippo is the least important since he doesnt actually attack unless you get very close. the biggest problem i had so far were those shades that replaced the lionmen in the area where the scorpion boss is. i play sorcerer and my spells cant hurt them since i cant lock on to them to aim. the only thing i can actually do is try to wait for them to attack and try to parry then stab them with a knife. and also that dragon in the sunken ruins

dark souls 2: scholar of the first sin (aka enhanced edition) i played the vanilla ds2 when it first came out and since i didn't get any dlc and this version contains them all and was at a big discount for owners of the original game, i got it during steam sales on christmas. the vanilla game was as hard as one would expect from a ds game... this version though goes beyond frustratingly hard. they made changes to the layout of maps and blocked many more paths with petrified characters than they had before. and as if that was not bad enough, they even changed the enemies in some areas with borderline unfairly stronger types. most can be killed with a bit of effort, however there is one particular type that they used to fill up an area that is simply impossible to beat if you dont have a melee weapon with a big reach because you cant lock on to them so spells and most ranged weapons are useless and they have too much armor for smaller melee weapons to be effective, making 9/10 builds useless in that area

from what i've read amd is going for the mid range market (under 300$ where over 80% of the consumer base is). practically they seem to plan to start by offering similar performance to the current get at 40-50% of the price (i.e instead of getting a 600$ fury, you can get a 280$ R7 470 and have the same performance). of course these are just conjectures.

nope, i just plugged in the ssd, put in windows 10 and left it as is
-
got the same. found it very cheap on a christmas offer now to wait for both amd and nvidia to roll out their next line of gpus to replace my old 7770
-
you can disable that stuff but you have to dig really deep in the registry and other places that the average user doesn't even know exist you even need to modify system files i tried a trick. i installed and activated windows 10 in my brother's pc (he had genuine win 7 unlike me) and then moved the SSD to my pc... it seemed to work at first but a few hours later i got a message saying "this copy of windows is not genuine" would have been funny if it actually worked

now that i have the apropriate controller i tried to install an old game called Lock On, an air combat simulator, but the game didn't launch after the install no matter what i tried so i shelved it

i havent seen the movies, but more or less they should have the entire story of the series in a more convenient package
-
edge of tomorrow is actualy based on a manga. i know because i read it long before the movie came out and while they changed the name of the mc, Rita Vrataski remains the same in both

im not good with dates, i should be glad i even remember my own birthday, so i dont know what film came out when... but i do know that the reason Poledouris never got a nomination is strictly political
-
the movies are simply a summary of the showfrom what i've heard... and the show is great. a very twisted version of the magical girl anime where instead of cute clothes with ribbons and staves with hearts and bells, you have swords, spears, guns, grenades and gory violence (both physical and psychological)

i was thinking to get a crucial BX200 240GB SSD... i find it to have a good price to GB and speed ratio at the price range im looking at. any thoughts or suggestions?

to nominate you for an oscar (or have you win it), your performance as an actor (or any part of the film industry) is not as important as some other things like political views. i dont know what it is in Leo's case, but i do know that the music of the first Conan (the one with Arnie) was hailed as the best OST of any film made in that year, yet it was not even nominated for an oscar because the composer was a comunist sympathizer
-
actually the christian religion in its core promotes comunism. as Jesus said "he who has 2 tunics, should give one to he who has none" and if you think about it 99% of all wars and 80% of all crime is about money, think how different the world would be without it
-
the new AMD drivers increased performance quite a bit, but they have a tendency to crash at times and, unlike the old drivers, they dont restart automaticaly. when i notice things going wrong i have to either restart the pc or deactivate and reactivate the graphics card from device manager

What would you do if you had unlimited time and money?
teknoman2 replied to Heijoushin's topic in Way Off-Topic
i would choose a game developer and and an anime developer and i would fund their dream project with as much money and time needed without medlling in their work, with the only rule that it has to be a complete work without a "to be continued" kind of ending, and the promise that if im satisfied with the result they can get funding for the next project -
i won a laptop earlier this year (crapy thing capable of only the most basic tasks) and it had win8.1 so i upgraded it to win 10 since it was free. the main thing is though, that i learned of a loophole that may allow me to install 10 on my gaming rig that now runs "free" 7 and activate it as genuine using the laptop licence. now i want to get a SSD for a fresh install because right now im using a very old HDD and a slightly old HDD and i have a question for any who have one: do i need any special cables or the normal SATA that came with my motherboard will do? as for power suply, does it use the normal cables that run from PSU to any SATA device? i had the bad luck to get a new HDD and when i tried to put it on i found out i needed cables and i had to go back to the store to get them (and its quite far) so i'd rather be prepared this time
