  1. I'm from Argentina, but people around here don't know about kickstarter so I don't think we'll be seeing much support from here.
  2. I totally agree, specially if they want to establish their own franchise. At least the Dwarf from the artwork was not waring heavy armor and drinking beer, accompanied by an Elven WIzard... oh the genericness!
  3. I still play NWN up to this date, the ability to create a campaign to play with your friends is huge!
  4. I support this, it doesn't really need to be up in your face, you barely found out some characters were gay in F:NV unless you talked to them a lot.
  5. I was a big fan of NWN so when NWN2 came out I played it and I really enjoyed it, I missed the Underdark but the story actually had better characters. Fallout: New Vegas was outstanding, the ammount of content that game has, both from the developers and the community, you can basically play that game forever. It reminds me why I was such a big fan of Neverwinter, the NWNVault, the CEP (community expansion pack) and the ability to create your own content with the Aurora Toolset, infite replayability.
  6. If you're playing a localised version of a game your experience will suffer either way. Every localisation I've ever come across is inferior to the original product. Many of those narrative nuances get lost along the way because the translators couldn't fully grasp the narrative themselves or simply didn't bother to. After all, they have to rewrite a ridiculous amount of text - they simply don't have the time to ponder on every word's exact meaning. This is not neccesarily the case. The narratives nuances shouldn't get lost, they are replaced by nuances that could be understood appreciated by the new audience. But I think it's too early to think about translation, they barely met their first stretch goal, if in the next two weeks they raise 3 times what they asked like Wasteland 2 maybe it can be considered.
  7. I'm sorry pal, but where did I say this game needs to have full voice over? The only thing I pointed out is that some of the best Obsidian Characters were voice acted. I don't know how do you go from that to "every single dialogue in the game needs to be voiced". Where do you make the connection? sigh
  8. Full voice acting kills what RPGs are all about. lolwut? Voiceover have been part of video games ince the 90s before it became a multi billion dollar company
  9. Voice Acting, I guess. Characters like Kreia, Ammon Jerro, Boone or Veronica would not have been the same if they weren't voiced.
  10. Well, if we can at least get that, I'll be happy. I didn't know that scrolling the mouse wheel was a such a HUGE issue for self proclaimed veteran gamers, but whatever.
  11. You "suffered" playing those games? hu... ok? I think it can be done, even Wasteland 2 that will have isometric view will let you a little, I'm not sure what's the big deal.
  12. Something I really liked about titles like Neverwinter Nights or Dragon Age is that they allowed you to have a top down tactical view of the battlefield, but they also gave you the freedom to Zoom in, Zoom out, change the angle, maybe you'd like to have the camera closer while you are roaming or check out how the new armor looks in your character. I'd like to share a few screenshots (not taken by me) Or even THIS screenshot of Neverwinter Nights I think they show that you can be true to the classics like Planescape and still have something more modern like the freedom of camera.
  13. Well, if the devs think they can create interesting new races I'd like to see them!
  14. I spent three months building a city in Neverwinter Nights Aurora Toolset and I didn't know anything about scripting or programming. I'd really really love to be able to do that again and if I can host it to play with my friends online it would be great. It's okay if it's a stretch goal , as long as they don't sacrifice the single player they can consider adding mod tools and even online mode, to play with friends.
  15. I think Dragons have been so overused lately that I rather not see them in Project Eternity, they have become a cliche that are there for the sake of beign there only because they look cool. Some games have the word dragon in their title or logo when the game has barely anything to do with dragons, it seemed to me a desicion made by Marketing and then the writing guys had to accomodate it with the Lore. If they want to have them I would like them to a) be rare b) be smart or smarter than a person, like D&D dragons that weren't just another monster, they were full-fledged characters.
  16. I'm glad to be able to help Obsidian with their new project, they have made some of my favorite games of all time!
