  1. its the most successful gaming Kickstarter a couple of other projects made more money. The pebble watch I think winning outright. Best in category is pretty damn great.
  2. I find myself checking the total and noticing how quickly its moving. Then I add the paypal figure. I'm really starting to believe 4 million is doable. With 8 hours to go, I think Obsidian will do it.
  3. The creators always have the last say on any naming rights. otherwise rivals would promote there own game within it or rich trolls would be little b@st@rds and fill projects with filth. Although I can see big in game advertising being done like this in the future deliberately. As the AAA market becomes the AAAA market with ever more bloated budgets I could easily see a big publisher allowing a fast food chain to name a building where whole game events take place. I don't see it being a problem for small development projects though as common sense and love of the work tends to have more say than a chequebook.
  4. I trust them to put everything they can into this game. I demand nothing. I am not a game designer I'm not telling anyone else how to do their job. Happy to just be a fan, watching and waiting.
  5. Just noticed some new OO members posting there KS profile, which I neglected to do Just in case its necessary http://www.kickstart...roject-eternity JayDGee Juggernaut of the Obsidian Order
  6. also 11 hours to go with no stretch goal in sight .... but for how long?
  7. 3.5 not including paypal amazing cant wait to see what the final hours bring /excited
  8. a wave assault mode is always welcome along with new game + modes. cant think of a game that was made worse by including them.
  9. I guess its a dream the impossible dream & shoot for the moon target of $4 million. Which might be possible they way kickstarters go crazy at the end.
  10. as with most things I vote that Obsidian do whatever they feel is best.
  11. the stretch goal map has a lot more road and a castle at the end. could there be a $4million stretch?
  12. I did ask in the order thread just after I posted this. Kind of making this thread redundant.
  13. You have to add $8 on top of your chosen donation level. Done hmm need to think of a title. Juggernaut of the Obsidian Order
  14. I'm about to upgrade my donation level, does this qualify for Obsidian Order membership? will jump from 20 early bird backer to $50 backer level this will also allow an early bird slot to become available
  15. I'm about to upgrade my donation level, does this qualify for Obsidian Order membership? will jump from 20 early bird backer to $50 backer level this will also allow an early bird slot to become available
  16. An actual romance would be interesting as its something that almost never happens in gaming. Instead we have a persistent hero hound and npc for sex until they eventually give in. That isn't romance.
  17. Modding tools extend games playability, with steamworks it is a lot easier to implement also.
  18. previous obsidian and black isle staff yes. If obsidian are able to recruit any other top level people who will make the game better I'm not too fussed about what company they used to work for.
  19. I would like to see it have a co-op feature (icewind dale co-op first online game I ever played) but I'm more interested in seing if the game will be open and accepting of the modding community. I always think this is a great way to expand a game and build community support at the same time. Plus with steamworks it can be implemented that much easier.
  20. As soon as I saw the kickstarter I donated. The idea of Obsidian with no publisher hanging over them appeals to me. First of all I hope you are all enjoying this moment and checking on the kickstarter regularly and being amazed by how quickly it is growing. This is happening for one reason, you have a fan base that believes in your ability to make an amazing game. We cant wait to see it, but I hope the community will be patient with you. A game takes a long time to make, a good game even longer. I cant speak for everyone else but please take all the time you need. Every month that goes by I know is just making the game that bit better. So thank you for making this project, which has made me reinstall Icewind Dale.
  21. I think power should come at a price. If someone is able to bend reality and create something from nothing then there should be a cost. I like the Idea that its tied to the soul of the individual. You overuse your power you risk becoming a soulless monster. Also makes evil gits stealing souls a much more sensible arrangement.
  22. I have fond memories of Icewind Dale co-op, quite possibly the first game I ever played online.
