  1. Got a link for that? If it's true, then hmm that's a step away from the Icewind Dale style, but I did enjoy the BG1 style portraits. This was one of my favourites, I've never not had an IWD party without it (not just because 32DD).
  2. AFAIK, they both will be doing portraits. http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/64095-update-59-developer-qa-with-polina-hristova/page-5?do=findComment&comment=1351624
  3. I think I speak for everyone in that we're very happy to have you on the Project and I have loved every piece of your concept art I have seen so far. The area/city art has been my favourite so far. Hopefully the portraits are up there with IWD and fight the minimalists for a larger portrait size in the UI
  4. Yeah but you're forgetting that not every fight will be lethal unless you literally stand there and do nothing. Like I said before, your characters can all survive being dropped to 0 stamina in combat 3 times before you have to worry about any penalties. You just have to look at the system a different way. If you still have above 25% Health then you are absolutely fine. We aren't sure how many fights characters will be able to take before they rest, but you just have to trust the designers to get the pacing right. Being at 100% Stamina and >25% Health in Project Eternity is the same as being at max health in the IE games. I am probably the opposite to you though, I would prefer there is resouce management tension and I honestly don't mind reloading if I performed badly in a fight. But I'll be playing on a high difficulty.
  5. Yeah although in a lot of areas you could rest but you were usually interrupted at least 4/5 or more times in a row, so you had to save scum it.
  6. You couldn't freely rest in the IE games without a mod, what did you do then? (unless you have never played it without the rest anywhere mod). Logic says that if you play it on the easiest difficulty and rest every time you come to a rest location then you shouldn't be inconvenienced unless you really stuff something up. The Stamina/Health system means that characters can lose their full stamina 3 times before you're in trouble (iirc).
  7. We want to support custom portraits and make it very easy for players to drop in whatever they want. We're still playing around with portrait sizes but right now they're around 660x850 on the character/inventory screen and get downsampled for use on other parts of the GUI. What resolution is that on?
  8. I don't think he's trolling. http://www.rpgcodex.net/forums/index.php?forums/prospers-funhouse.56/
  9. It is also possible that the release of the website is being delayed to coincide with their gameplay demonstration video.
  10. They're not just doing a standalone fulfillment website like inXile/Larian they're doing a Project Eternity website as well. AFAIK they have one guy (Darren Monahan) working on the website and it's not his only job at the company. That's not an excuse as to why it's taken so long but those are the facts. They have job postings on their website for dedicated web developers but those positions AFAIK have not been filled (which is odd?).
  11. From Update 61: Here is an example of Rogue-like fog of war
  12. I am concerned that the game will not have rain effects and farm animals.
  13. The first production hint was when that Neogaf thread went up about being contacted for their Backer Inn details.
  14. I think we're getting a lot more than a simple Fulfillment website like the inXile Ranger Center, they're redoing the entire P:E site or something, I assume it's launch will be a big deal.
  15. Actually no they're completely different. The BG1 portraits are done based on people at BioWare at the time (or other people). BG2 ones are a lot more stylized.
  16. Based on Satellite Reign update #15 he put in for Project Eternity. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/5livesstudios/satellite-reign/posts?page=5
  17. They fixed the audio hitching but there is still visual microstutters. There's also some Unity renderer bug that causes dropped frames.
