Stronghold/PC base
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Bos_hybrid's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I quite liked them in BG2. Especially that you had to do a quest to get them. That was very pleasing.

Tropes that could be avoided
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Margaretha's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Zombies and Vampires, I'm so desensitised to them I think I could like meet one and just shrug my shoulder and casually eat another potato chip.

Any chance of pure turn-based combat?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to NoxNoctum's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)As long as you can turn it off and play free flow or by ultilising a pause button Choice is good.

Tropes that could be avoided
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Margaretha's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Just...a better straight female romance than Anomen and something more subtle and grown up than get points with people = get sex. I completely trust obsidian with this though.

[Merged] The races of the world, Please something other then Elves/Dwarves/Orcs/Humans?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Stiler's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)Well I've kind of accepted that there is going to be dragons. But something other than Elves dwarves and humans would be great. Hell even like half ogres like Arcanum. If it doesn't include any zombies then I will be really happy. It is though, lets face it.

What type of game system?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Metabot's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I like AD+D but I would rather they make their own personal system that is geared to the world they are establishing. In the kickstarter Mr Sawyer refers to the use of the soul as a source of magic. This would suggest that are basing a magic system around that which is very exciting.

A suggestion for the romances you're considering (if any)
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Ravel's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I totally agree. I'd also like a decent relationship for straight females and NPC's who are either shy or come onto the player the character. Not everyone is the same irl after all. The PC getting shot down would be funny too. xD

The Romances?
Moonlight Butterfly replied to patboy12's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)As long as I there is a nice romance for straight female gamers I'll be happy. (Bad Boy rogue pls :3) I know it's hard to please everyone though. I agree with others that romances shouldn't be a big concern right now.

Party Size
Moonlight Butterfly replied to oldmanpaco's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I like six, it's big enough to get to know your guys and not too much to get overwhelmed.

Moonlight Butterfly replied to Humodour's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I would rather have barrels, especially smug looking ones.

Morality System
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Skyhawk02's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I would like a morality system that isn't as sesame street as Mass Effects Good or Bad. Any morality choices need to be grey or at least based on something like the dnd system of Lawful good to Chaotic good. I don't think that moral choices should be overly obvious is what I'm trying to say. Dragon Age 2's not existent consequences need to be avoided also. It feels like you can decide anything in that game and it won't matter.

Please include women with shirts on.
Moonlight Butterfly replied to Belias's topic in Pillars of Eternity: General Discussion (NO SPOILERS)I see that Mr Sawyer has pretty much got the 'sensible armour' covered so I will not blather on about that. Something else I would like to see though is the player not being treated like their character (and by extension the player) is male or gay as default. In my opinion there are RPG's where the female NPC's act like the PNPC is the last burger in hungry town and the male ones treat you like chopped liver . I have nothing against gay NPC's but to have the whole world act like that is disconcerting. I understand that it's difficult to please everyone but it's something that irritates me. I thought I would mention it here rather than make a new thread.
