  1. I remember Ultima Underworld gave you spikes you could use to nail doors shut. Don't think I ever used them anywhere but to kill the peaceful goblins early on. Alternately: raptors. Raptors everywhere.
  2. They had some context-sensitivity. Aerie, for example, had a specific complaint whenever you were in any sort of cave, which got pretty damn old after the fifth hour of wandering about the Underdark.
  3. Get it? Natural? EDIT: Because it's a druid and she has plants and stuff all over her body. Get it?
  4. Pretty sure they said a long time ago that the characters they've revealed thus far aren't necessarily companions. That said, the woman from the Godlike picture looks like a pretty... natural... choice for a druid. And Sawyer talked a bit about the cipher from this picture, so I wouldn't be surprised to see him turn out to be a potential party member.
  5. It might also affect engagement range for opportunity attacks, and your ability to attack enemies without getting inside their engagement range. But that's just conjecture.
  6. Don't worry about it, man. It's just Helm's favoured cross, is all.
  7. Don't think it's been confirmed, but I can't see it not happening. It annoys some of the groggier types, so maybe it'll be disabled on Ironman or something like that. EDIT: Also, I'm pretty sure Sawyer is colour blind, too.
  8. I will accept only the absolute finest in equipment based on primary and secondary sexual characteristics.
  9. Is she aumauan? Must've missed that tidbit of information. Kinda hard to tell, but her face sorta looks like it.
  10. I thought he said that pre-Update 39? I know they've discarded multiple models...
  11. Update 39? Also, last I heard - and this could totally have changed, but I haven't heard anything of that nature - armour has no affect on evasion. The drawback of heavy armour is decreased action speed.
  12. Huh. I've played a fair bit of NWN2, and I just noticed that the circle around the question mark in the identification spell is a magnifying glass.
  13. Well obviously, we need codpieces to tell the men-folk apart so that we can avoid that sort of situation. We're a sexually dimorphic species; shouldn't have the fellas running around looking like ladies down below. Need to take advantage of every opportunity to make characters distinguishable, don't ya know? We need some giant filigreed bulging ornate gilded engraved codpieces. wait no go back ****
  14. Yeah, I know that they're different. And as far as I can tell, the difference mostly lies in stuff that doesn't really serve much.
  15. That sounds... really, really unnecessary. I think New Vegas had it pretty much dead on:
  16. Supposedly, helmets were the big reason for the Qunari redesign between DAO and DA2. They had originally planned to give them horns, but they wanted Sten to be able to wear helmets, so they just dropped the whole "horn" thing from the original game.
  17. They wouldn't likely be classified as feliform if they had a lot of canid traits. The taxonomy is pretty clear. Have you ever heard of convergent evolution? In this case, it's cosmetic. At any rate, a hyena would be better than a dog in a violent situation, objectively. It does bear mentioning that I'm bothered by the... zeal of the OP's dog-centered desire. Feliformia is not felidae. They live communally (which is not unheard of for cats, but is very much more a dog thing), they have non-retractable claws, they use their teeth and jaws like dogs, and they're completely unsuited to arboreal movement. Nobody would say that that puts them in caniformia, but yeah, dudes have their fair share of dog-like traits.
  18. DAO's dog was really cool. Terrible in a fight compared to the other characters, but really cool. There was a mod that let you use him as a fifth party member. Hyenas aren't dogs. They're not even caniform. They're actually part of the suborder feliformia. In other words, Hyenas are closer to cats than dogs. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Feliformia While true, hyenas have a lot of canine traits to them. And also, those pictures are awesome.
  19. Well, yes, they should, but I'd prefer not to have to redo everything because the default setup is ugly. Besides, bindings != layout and UI.
  20. The Infinity Engine games were very... RTS-like, in their own way. Why not carry on the tradition? Bottom left has the minimap, bottom centre is full of selectable character portraits, and bottom right has room for 15 hotkeys mapped in a grid pattern using the keys on the left hand side of your keyboard (QWERT for the top row, ASDFG for the middle, and ZXCVB for the bottom). Use ctrl# to set up "control groups" of characters shown just above the portraits and # to select those control groups.
  21. Project Eternity 3 will take place at the same time as 1. Or before. Or maybe on a different continent where nobody's discovered the wheel. Or maybe it'll be on that different continent, except also with 16th-century explorers mapping out the wilderness. Or maybe in a Rome-has-fallen scenario and technological innovation has stagnated/slid backwards. Or... I wouldn't worry too much about something, like, a decade off.
